"Well they don't change completely but they certainly do change, the faces that is, they seem to be coming and going more than ever lately. Especially with this Goddamn crisis with the FBI sniffing around for vampires constantly yadda yadda. But of course you'll find someone in the graveyard at night." Meredith returned her own smile, which was actually a little brighter than usual since she was reinvigorated by the reappearance of an old ally. She'd thought she was the only seniority left amongst the hunter ranks and now someone from her old family was back. It meant a lot more to her than she'd probably actually bother to let Kerrigan know since they actually didn't know eachother horribly well.
Meredith smiled somewhat smugly and shrugged. "I guess I was the next Jackson in line, who better to take over the former Jackson's place than his little sister?" She smiled and sounded confident but of course she knew she could never hope to compare to her brother and that she really wasn't all that fit for this role. She'd kind of been forced to take it since everyone else was a mess and didn't know how to run things. There hadn't been anyone else to take it up but perhaps now that Kerrigan was back Meredith could pull the "she's more senior than me" card and get herself out of it. However, for now that could wait.
"Friends? Oh. Meet Mr. Noob Vampire that loves to yell at people," she gestured to Nick. "And this is Jack, just met him two seconds ago. And Nick and Jack, this is Kerrigan. She's an even better hunter than me so don't piss her off because she's twice as good at her job as I am."

"Wouldnt dream of pissing her off" Jack said with a smile knowing that she could probably turn him into a goo strewn paste. "Hello" Jack said gesturing a wave, as he smiled, He then took out a small packet not with anything special in it a few spare bullets, a half eaten candy bar and the remnats of someones eye, He rummaged through his bag until he picked up the chocolate bar, and took a bite from it, "Vampire or not, I still like Chocolate" he said as he finished it and put the wrapper into his pocket, "So Eden, Kerrigan an old freind?" He asked Eden, a he also took his Canteener out once again,

"Well, I can't think of anyone more qualified," she said with a smile, draping her arm over the girl's shoulder and giving her a little squeeze. It was so nice to see someone from the old days that she could not be happier if she tried. At least not just now. Her green eyes flashed as she looked at the two men that were introduced to her. She gave them each a nod in greeting, nudging Edith playfully as she flattered her with her talk of Kerri's hunting ability.
"Now, I don't know about being a better hunter than her or not, but I would lay your asses out," she said with a small laugh as she watched Jack rummage around for a candy bar. Her eyebrow raised slightly as she watched him and his love for the candy bar, before glancing at Meridith to see how she was going to answer the boy's question. She would consider the two of them friends, even if they were not the closest of companions. The two of them had been through a lot back when they ran the city, and as far as she was concerned there was nothing she wouldn't do for the girl next to her.

"Good because if you could I might have to beat them up just so that they wouldn't think about trying to best me. Or maybe I'd just have to beat you up for not having faith in me but since that isn't the case there will not be anarchy." She laughed and when Kerri draped her arm over her shoulder she smiled and gave the vampiress a not-so-gentle but not extremely rough pat on the back. It really did relieve Eden to know that she wasn't the last of the old hunters from back in the day and that Kerrigan was alright. Such a feat was more emotional for her than she would ever let on in public or in front of anyone minus perhaps Veroen.
Meredith chuckled at Kerri's old spirit that she remembered so very well, it'd been the thing she'd always admired most about the huntress, her fighting spirit. Of course, Kerri was also very loyal to her family and would put every hunter before herself which was just another quality that was admirable on top of the fact she was pretty amazing in general but not amazing enough to intimidate Edith or make her feel inferior. "Well it's been a while, maybe your hunting skills got a little rusty but I'm sure you'll be back soon enough and kicking a**. And yeah, Kerrigan's a really old friend that was a hunter before I was even living in New York."

Kerri laughed at the girl, glad to know that her sense of humor persisted through time as well. The rough pat on her back made her laugh slightly as she glanced at the girl. It was amazing how quickly they were falling back into their old relationships, yet at the same time there seemed to be such significant changes to each of their characters in the last months they had been apart. There were so many things she wanted to ask the girl about, though this was hardly the time or the place so far as she could figure. There would be plenty of time to catch up and everything when it was just the two of them.
"Now now now, my hunting skills never get rusty darling. I may have spent the last few months in therapy, but don't think it made me soft. On the contrary, I am more of a hard b***h than ever." She gave the girl a fanged smile clearly joking, though it was not a complete lie. While she might be more in touch with her emotions than before, that only meant that she was all the more capable of blocking them out when she needed to. She had worked too hard to get that control over the last few months, and now she was ready to put it into action.

(( Sorry I didn't post yesterday. Birthday. xD ))
Meredith was glad that Kerrigan possessed a sense of humour so that she was able to joke around without it being completely lost from someone else's apathetic response. She loved joking around and silence was not something that Meredith found solace in, in fact, it discomforted her to extreme proportions and it made things awkward. Of course silence, like everything else, had its time and its place but more silence than not was just awkward for her and she did not take well to it. In that sense she was very undisciplined but she liked having fun and having a good time so she didn't really see it as something that wasn't positive.
"Maybe we'll have to spar sometime just to make sure you never got rusty because we wouldn't want you going out into the field and realizing you weren't ready to do so because we didn't think ahead. Congrats! I had my ex-fiance try to kill me within the last few months so I think I've learnt how to be a hard b***h as well. It builds character." She smiled and gave the thumbs up, her story not being over exaggerated in the slightest. Tokeru had tried to kill her and she'd been forced to escape.

(( No worries! Happy belated B-day! <3 ))
Kerrigan smiled as she gave the girl another squeeze about the shoulders. It was nice to know that not everything around here had changed since she left, and even though she was gone she was starting to fit right back into things like her time with the hunters had started only yesterday. She thought back to the times when she hunted with Meridith, remembering that she was much much more powerful than she looked on the outside. It was a little disconcerting actually, that the girl could probably kick her a** without a second thought. However, as she mentally pictured a spar between the two of them, there was no doubt that it would be something to behold. The two of them were the epitome of beautiful but deadly when they were separate, let alone when together.
"Tokeru tried to kill you? Well...I would express my sympathies, but I hated that a*****e to begin with and never thought he was right for you. I'm sorry you had to go through that though. At least something good came from it," she said with a small laugh, breaking away from the girl and moving over to a open tombstone, where she leaned against it gently, running her fingers through the ends of her curls absentmindedly. She thought back to the time she had spent with Tokeru, and realized that there was nothing good for her to say about it. Knowing that she now had a reason to kill him if she ever got the chance made her happier to hear his name than she had ever been.

"Yeah," she responded while scratching the back of her head, her voice becoming somewhat distant though it was contemplative as opposed to sad. She was quite pissed off about the whole thing still and couldn't believe he would go through all that trouble just to try and kill her for being a vampire when it somehow turned out she'd been injected with some f**ked up serum that'd made her a temporary vampire. It was absolutely nuts and she was probably going to have to take up the initiative to find out who'd done that to her. Well, she knew who'd done it but she had no idea how to find them or where she would even begin looking. Of course, this would be a side project since concentrating the hunters on something like that would be too time consuming.
"Well I definitely learnt from it ... And yeah, not many people did like him. I hate that. Love makes you so stupid and dumb and blind. I totally never saw it coming and I didn't listen to the people around me and almost ended up getting killed for it. Oh well, guess that's what I get for being dumb. But yeah, the past is the past and it's best left that way." She shrugged and looked around crinkling her nose before deciding to exclaim, "Oh yeah! Happy Saint Patrick's!"

isolated malicious The_Black_Armed_Death_God Zarathose grin and snapped his finger with a little burst of fire above his hand "Fire I can handle." Jasie couldn't hold back a smirk before answering back, "Yet what about the bite...?" she asked with a raised brow and an expression that stated, I win...Zarathose kissed Jasie and lightly bit her lower lip as he pulled away."Biting is simple."He pulled back the collar on his shirt to show her the scars from his vampire days."Biting I can REALLY handle."Suddenly a recognizable smell hit him. Layna! His mind snapped at him.His chest pounded but only for a moment.Memories of before smashed into him.Pain shot through his soul, but now he felt as if she was no longer he's missing piece. But rather his dark pain,he had lived for her,he had died for her,he returned for her,and what met his efforts? She turned him away as if he was a total maniac. He smiled at Jasie trying to block the memories.

Layna reluctantly turned her attention from her thoughts of Razu to look at Nair. "What information? Has something happened to him?" She wondered, her eyes wide, and truly, upset. Despite Ceon's ruthless hate for Razu, she had loved Razu. At first it was like a brother, a companion, but then...then it was more. When Ceon had 'died' Razu had been there for her. She loved him.

Namir was grim as he responded,"He has died. In an explosion." He didn't tell her it was on purpose. Nor did he tell her it may not be entirely true, that he may still be out there somewhere...not that Namir had much hope for it. After all he was human again.

Layna felt her her whole body tense, her heart beating a little slower, shocked, dismayed at this. Razu...dead? "When..? How long ago? Why?" She was half-gasping, half-choking back the tears that threatened to fall. This was not the place nor the time to become a whimpering pup. But... Razu...Gone.

Namir answered," He just got caught up in an explosion in a subway tunnle. With a special bomb he made to clean up blood and body peices." Namir winced as he answered his mind still filled with Razu's will.

Meredith took notice of the stranger that'd entered the park and had began talking to Layna and had been fine with it up until Layna began getting upset. She was too far away to hear over what but whatever it was it had definitely been something that guy had said to her and she wasn't about to stand for someone being a jerk to Layna even though they'd just met they were friends. "What's," the fairly tall, Amazon-like, huntress asked with her deep voice, "going on here? Layna, do I need to kick this guy's a**, he giving you trouble?"

Layna looked up, her face pale with shock. "Razu... Razu is dead. Razu..." She mumbled gibberish words, trying to calm herself. She then let the alternate part of her swallow the despair, and her expression became lucid and calm. "I'm fine. Razu, he was someone who I cared so much about." It made her quiver slightly under how weird it felt not to be sobbing her eyes out in sadness, yet she gratefully accept the quietude.
