Veroen's eye narrowed. He only had one eye because of recent events, and the area where his right eye used to be was covered by an eyepatch.
Veroen thought about Alasdair, and how he threatened the safety of Eden and her unborn child. Veroen would do whatever it took to protect them. Even if that meant dying. He looked at Layna, and knew exactly what she meant. He had been getting a bad feeling as well, a feeling that evil was going to show itself.
"I know, I've been getting the same feeling too...something that could possibly mean the end of our existence in this city..."

John had disappeared upon the appearance of yet more creatures that weren't originally said to be of this world and Meredith seemingly continued to slumber. However, she'd actually been roused when the solemnity kicked in when they started discussing the city being dead and how something horrible was going to happen, the alteration in mood had been so tangible that it'd managed to awaken her. At first, though, she pretended to still be asleep, her breaths falling and rising as they had been moments before but when they discussed something to end their existence she decided to comment. "Any idea," Meredith asked sleepily as she stretched against him, "what that something might be?"

Veroen glanced over at Eden as she spoke, apparently still awake. "I am not sure yet, to be honest." a small smile foud its way to the corner of his mouth, and he leaned over and touched his lips to hers for a second, while her eyes were still closed.

"Well ... when you're sure let me know if it's a tangible person or group and I-" She cut herself off by yawning and decided to stretch again lazily. "I'll kick their a**. I know the whole sticking and working together thing sounds 'gay' and it's what us typical humans are known for but it does work. If you have enough people focused on something they can accomplish pretty much anything and what are friends for anyhow?" She knew her little speech sounded rather cliche but it was true. People in numbers were more effective than a single person if you looked at things in the not-so-complicated perspective.

Duke strode in taking a shortcut to the sub. The scent hit him like a brick. He sharply looked around before finding it's source. He glided silently over to her. He asked in a smooth voice," Delayna BlackLeaf? Are the famous Layna? My name's Namir Nikolvanti. I've heard much about you when I met Rasheed." Duke didn't want to know her to know that he was what she use to know as Duke. He almost didn't want to tell her about Razu but she was bound to find out and it might as well be him who spilled the beans.

Layna glanced up, startled. "Famous? No. Not hardly." She muttered, confused. Who was this person, and why did he know her? Rasheed...Razu. She missed him. She shook her head. It had been too long to stray to past thoughts. He must have moved on and was happy somewhere... "It's nice to meet you, Namir." She said, wondering where this person had come from, but she smiled nonetheless, feigning sincerity.

Stein walked into the Graveyard with a shovel over his back muttering to himself, "Someone should have to do this not me, what kind of a Doctor am I if I don't even have an assistant" Oh course he did once have an assistant but his unexpected passing was when Stein found out that he Cannot charge the Human body with 40 Kw of Electricity in one pulse, he is still scrubbing the blood off his boots. Stein walked up to what seemed an old grave., with the initials A.N marked on it. Stein couldn't care less of the person under the six feet of soil and more cared about his work as he started to dig, He dug until he heard a loud 'Clunk' of his shovel hitting the coffin, he pryed it open with the shovel and looking at the relitivly fresh corpse, He slung the half eaten bodie over his shoulder and clambered out of the Grave

Meredith had taken long enough to give a warm smile to Layna and a mock salute to Namir in order to say hi but soon enough she was up and off her a**, having heard something in the graveyard. She was intent on investigating since she heard something strike wood and scuffling sounds that weren't very natural to a graveyard. She didn't have to wander far before she saw some strange guy with a screw sticking out of his head with a body slumped over his shoulder and she could already feel her blood boiling at the thought. There was nothing friendly or playful in her tone, "What the ******** do you think you're doing? Graverobbing is so low I can't believe people still go there. Get a life and put that body back before I make you."

Stein Smiled under his new pair of glasses witch also hid his silver eyes, He continued to walk out of the graveyard paying little attention to the person exclaiming her disgust at him, Materials where Materials, Stein kicked the shovel into the grave and made his exit, only to trip over another tombstone and the body flew off his shoulder and into a New grave, "For Gods sake", he said Jumping into the Grave with the Body and trying to hoist it out,

That was it, she'd given him his chance and now he was going to learn that he couldn't just ignore pissed off hunters who had guns and do anything he wanted. As a guardian she was going to see to it that this creep didn't get any further with the body he had under his possession at the moment though he wouldn't for long. "Okay, that's it. Within a few moments she'd been able to catch up to him, after all he was hauling a body while she wasn't hauling anything but light weapons that she'd carried for years. Once the stupid guy fell into the grave and halfway hoisted the body out she grabbed the body from him and proceeded to set it down. She then found the shovel and fresh dirt pile beside the grave and threw a shovel full on the weird guy that'd fallen into the grave. Buried alive? That was her plan.

Stein got a Face full of dirt and coiled back on impact, he looked at the Pissed off Hunter, He knew she was trying to bury him alive, but the Electricty had assimilated his use for lungs, thats why he smoked alot, for Normal humans he thought that Smokeing could replace breathing, Stein jumped out of the grave and ontop of the blank tombstone above it., he knelt ontop of it and wiped the dirt off his face, he then drew a cigarette and took one long drag,

When the Frankenstein reject or whatever he was attempted to jump out of the grave he would not have reached the headstone if Meredith's boot had had anything to say about it. However, she'd apparently been a tad too slow to react and her combat boot with steel toes hadn't contacted the guy's face but that wasn't anything to sulk over yet. There was plenty of time in which to get him back in the grave and if he was smoking, well, that left him quite open. Seeing as the headstone wasn't all that faraway or even out of her reaching range she bashed the head of the shovel into the back of Stein's head, intending to knock him back into the grave.

The Shovel connected with Stein's head but no movement was made and his glasses just fell into the Grave, Stein took one long sigh but insted of Carbon Dioxide leaving his body it was cigarette smoke, He jumped behind the hunter and attempted to sweep her feet while electricaly charging his arms,
