Nina just smiled softly at him, secretly happy he was so worried for her safety, she then said, "But I don't want you to get hurt either, and with my computer we'd have more protection than if you just went by yourself. And I don't know where your world is, but I do know how to find a way back to my world from most other worlds, so if I went to your world first I'd know where to go to visit."

Jack smiled a little, then walked over to Nina and wrapped his arms around her. "I'm not going to win this one, am I?" he half-joked.

She laughed a little, "Well, Yuta does say that I can be pretty stubborn," she hugged back and opened her mouth to say more but closed it, there really wasn't anything to say.

Jack continued to hold her, smiling softly all the while. "Nina?" he began. "When this is all over... Here, and what we might find in my world... When we're both safe, again... I want to take you on a date. A real, romantic date-date."

"Nina would love nothing more," she smiled, looking up at him. It was one of those times that really made her wonder what she did to deserve such a great guy.

Jack just couldn't seem to stop smiling; Nina was just so... awesome. Beautiful. Somehow powerful and delicate at the same time... How could someone who kinda sucked at being evil and who screwed up his one chance so badly at being good that he more than likely would never get a second chance ever deserve to even meet such an amazing girl? "Maybe we'll go up to the mountains... Go skiing. I'm good at skiing and snowboard. Ice skating, too. We could play outside in the snow all day, and then go back in and sit by the fireplace..." Somehow, talking about the possible future helped Jack feel better about the here and now.

Nina giggled a little, it was one of those things that she loved about him the most, when he talked about something he was excited about, it made her smile even more, "I don't know how to snowboard, but I can ski. Maybe you can teach me how to snowboard, Jack."

Jack's smile widened a bit. "Yeah, I could teach you, no problem." It suddenly occured to him the he hadn't said the big "L-word" to her yet. Well, there was no time like the present; might as well make it flashy. "Volim te. Mahal kita. Te amo. Ai shi te ru. Sa rang hae yo. Aloha wau ia oi. S'agapo. Wo ai ni. Je t'aime. Ja kocham ciebie. Mo gra thu. Wanna know what all those mean? 'I love you...'"

Nina giggled, blushing slightly and immensely happy. It was the first time anyone had said they loved her aside from her friends and family back home, and no one had said it to her in so many different languages. She gave him a little squeeze and looked up at him, "I love you too, Jack," she smiled and moved her lips to his.

Jack kissed her back, his grip on Nina tightening minutely. He truly did love her... Loved her so much. And he hoped to every deity ever imagined, holy or un, that he did not mess up, upset her, and lose her...

Similar thoughts were running through Nina's head as she deepened the kiss, he loved her for her and didn't mind that her magic wasn't always under control, and that was more than anyone had offered her before.

One of Jack's hands had made it's way up to Nina's head, and he was absentmindedly stroking his fingers through her hair. He almost could't believe it; she loved him. She had even said it twice, today. And she always did so much to make him feel better about himself... He really couldn't say that about anyone else whom he had ever known. Honestly, he couldn't say that he had thought anyone ever would. He wanted to do everything he could for her, keep her as happy as possible. It was the least he could do... Also, he was very, very glad that Chase hadn't come out of his meditation, yet, and hoped he would stay that way for at least a little bit longer. ...It would be very awkward if he woke up, now...

Nina had completely forgotten about Chase, as a matter of fact, she had forgotten about everyone as she held onto him. This feeling was nothing like she had ever dreamed of.
