Hooooooly hell.

We just came upon something huge. Significant. HUGE AND SUGNIFICANT. MAKES US HAPPY. OH YEAH. HAPPY, HAPPY THORN. biggrin

Anybody here remember the Winslowy guy? Or even heard of him? Well, I thought he had kinda disappeared. My "friend" hadn't heard of him for over a month and I thought all was lost.

Well, she graced me with information. Where he lives (telephone book, anyone?) and the fact that he's going to a museum on the 27th.

EEEEEEEEE! SO. PSYCHED.

Well, as much as I scorn her, I need her for this. She and I are going to said museum on said day in the morning and we are going to lurk in the exhibit he's going to go to. And I'm gonna be the freak friend.

Me: Hello! I'm Thorn. You're hot. I've heard all about you. Can I have your email?

Okay, the "you're hot" bit might be a little much, but I think the rest is okay. If a tad creepy.

Oh god. I'm gonna meet a real guy who looks like Winslow. I'm gonna fuh-REEK.

I'm gonna be all like, cordial and s**t like I get under those circumstances.

That is, if she's not lying to me. I tried looking him up in the telephone book and there's nothing.

Also...will they let me into the museum wearing black makeup? 'Cause they might think that I'm some kind of scoundrel. Which I'm not, but...you know. And I kinda want to meet him while wearing my black makeup. Hmm.

Yeah. I'm probably giving this way too much thought. And damn, I'm going to have to use the money I was going to use for the pens I was gonna get. But ah well, this has, has, has to be done or I'm going to flip.

Wait, I've already flipped. What a surprise! biggrin

Okay, so, anyway, wish me luck and hope I don't make a complete fool of myself!

Youko-chan

Chapter 56 or so, I'll probably finish it up tonight (I knew Mr.Darcy paid for Wickham's debts I just knew!! xp ) *cough* and I just bought Wicked so I'd like to start that (becuase I don't trust myself reading two books at a time....)

Alexis: Winslowy guy? O.o I must a missed this...and don't worry I'm sure musuems have their hands full of people wearing dark makeup (just pull the depressed artist card wink )

*Goes crazy over the Winslowy guy*
I agree with RDS. You probably won't be the only dark makeup-wearing person there. I hope you get your Winslowclone! It just seems fitting for you to end up dating a Winslow look-alike. I'm sure you won't make a fool of yourself. Just try not to glomp him or something (which I know you'll be dying to do) mrgreen

xd Wickham is such a cheating little b*****d.

Well, once you finish, you should go back and read my posts. xd I was very amused/high off of the movie when I wrote them.

And that's awesome, Alexis! whee

I'd say they're probably let you. heart

Erin had a date today. And it went well. biggrin

He works with me (at the movie theater) and just started two weeks ago. Almost two days after Erin met him he asked for her number. I didn't believe he really wanted it at first (1: no guy has ever asked Erin for her number. 2: Erin has low self-esteem. 3: We had just been making fun of some customer trying to get my friend's number) but he asked for it again later so he got it =3

And he came and surprised Erin at work yesterday and asked her on a date (we went to a movie, MI3)

Gawd he's cute <3

Okay. I'll give you guys an example of the clothes and makeup I'm desperately hoping to arrive at the museum wearing:

Do I look like the angsty artsy type? (If you guys still think I do...well...I'm kinda not. But hey, whatever works!)

I dunno. I never thought of angsty artsy sorts wearing spiked collars and gauntlets, but ehh, if that's what I come off as It's all happy fun time.

I just never saw anybody in a museum dressed like that is all. *Shrug*

And that's a very good idea, Roze. I'll be so hyper if I meet him afterward...I'll be like, grinning like a maniac. People will be like...ookaaay then. Which reminds me...some girl in Martial Arts class today thought I was stoned. She thought my pupils looked really dilated. But I hadn't gotten much sleep last night, so that might explain it. I just thought that awfully funny 'cause I am not the druggie sort. At all.

Anyway...yeah. Get this: My mom will have no idea that I have a chance to meet him 'cause she'd likely freak and be all like "I'm coming with you! Meeting boys is daaangerous! You might have sex in a janatorial closet!". I know that if I ever told her that I dated when I was fourteen she'd have my head.

And yay Erin! Looks like we're both lucky in the guy area now. *High-five* Glad you're happy with him.

*glomps Alexis before anyone else can, then runs to reinflate self from being stabbed with that arm band* X3

You make black lipstick look good, Alexis. o_o I mean, really. You look so cool like that.

@ Erin: *GLOMP* Yay! Good for you, sweety! biggrin
PostPosted: Wed May 17, 2006 7:14 pm

Wow, Alexis, lookin' good wink I love the spikes 3nodding
I don't think there is any reason why they shouldn't let you in (they shouldn't judge people by appearances anyway).

Hehe, I have no idea what the angsty, artsy type wears. Let's just hope the museum people just assume that you're one of them. But you shouldn't have a problem.

Yes, I know it'll be difficult not to glomp him (heck, I'd probably feel like doing the same thing). Lol that reminds me of when I was in Montreal and this guy thought I was drunk. I felt like saying "Nope. I'm usually like this." blaugh

Sex in a janitorial closet, eh? Yeah, I think it's best to keep your meeting with the Winlowclone dude a secret.

Anyway, I'm glad some people are lucky in the guy area...

She totally does, doesn't she? I could never get away with black lipstick or black hair, because of my complexion (and because people would probably yell at me if I dyed my hair black lol).

My Alexis, atleast you'll be well armed to fend off any boyish-sex attack rofl

Well I hate to say it but when one dress in a certain mode of fashion people will always judge you accordingly becuase it's the First Impression (which was actually Jane Austen's first title for Pride and Prejudice heart wink ) that people get from you. Personally, as some one who loves to sew, I'm continually fascinated by the ability of ones clothes to completley transform the way people even talk and interact with you; however, my fascination only leads me to the conclusion that humans are of weak opinion and easily manipulated sweatdrop Yet I can assure you a musuem has no RIGHT to turn you away for wearing dark makeup (the spikes...I'm not sure of XD ) but I'm quite certain that you're certainly not the first person of the kind they've seen. On several visits to the Chicago Museum of art myself, I've seen quite a variety of people and that's the beauty of a musuem of art heart

And although I know your initial cause may be to court your future lover heart may I inquire to what exhibit he intends to visit (if there is any specific one)?

and congrats Erin...you can tell spring is starting to fold into summer already.

We actually had a stereotype week last year in my highschool and on goth day I totally took advantage of the black lipstick, wore a long black dress, with a black wig. I think I pulled it off partly well but my math teacher didn't even recognize me he was just like "Um...are you in this class? sweatdrop "

But I agree Alexis pulls it off quite well

Hehe, I have no idea what the angsty, artsy type wears.

Think: ERIK.

Okay no. XD

I dunno if I can classify as that. I'm just pessimistic and artsy. But I wear Wal-Mart mens' clothes. X3

I think you pull off the angsty-artsy type well, Alexis. I know I don't pull off the black lipstick thing well, but you do. =3

RDS: we did stereotype days at band camp, too. muy divertido. Couldn't go all out for goth day, as that would have meant wearing all black outside all day in 100 degree weather, but I did do the black lipstick/eyeshadow. (I looked retarded. Seriously)
And you're a tad obsessed over P&P, eh? 'twas a well written book, if a little boring, but then I've never liked chick books.

I'm not entirely "obsessed" (Although I believe Youko to be....) but my emotions are very easily manipulated and I'll admit it's definantly a teen heart throb book whee but it's also a very witty satire of social codes and affected mannerisms at the time and still quite evident (w/out the formal language) today which, I believe, excuses it as an important piece of literature.

I do believe one of my favorite scenes was when Miss Bingley asked Elizabeth to strut about the room with her (while she was attending her sick sister at Netherfield), and while the very action stricks me as amusing, Mr.Darcy's reply to Miss Bingley's request to join them made me giggle becuase he basically says "Well I refuse on two accounts; one, if you wish for only a chatty accquaintance I believe I shall only get in the way of you; and two, if you wish to show of your figures, as I assume you're trying to do, then I certainly have the better view from where I sit." xd

I heart Mr.Darcy

I do have to admit that it had its funny moments (aka almost everything with Mr. Darcy) I'm sure if I were to decide to read it on my own (I read it for English class a few years back. I enjoyed Crime and Punishment far more) then I would thoroughly enjoy it, simply because I won't be forced to read it. I was actually quite surprised with how much funny stuff it had. Usually you don't get to read funny stuff for school.

Aw! You guys make me feel all happy inside. I never thought anyone could make black makeup look good. I just thought people wear it and the style looked spiffy to me so I adopted the spikes and chains from my character Lex and then just started the makeup thing later. Truth is my mom would have a fit if she saw me like that but honestly, who the hell is gonna try to sexually harass someone wearing black makeup like this? *Snort*

But yeah. Heartage yo you all.

Heartage--> heart

It's not really luck actually with guys for me. At all. My love life is more "Ooh I like that guy!" GUY: "That girl scares the crap outta me! I saw her bend that other guy's fingers backward!" or "...I don't like you. Why don't you just go away?" And then there's the whole GUY: "*Drool* You're hot! *Very sexual guy-ish grin*" ME: "Uhm...ew. No. I'm not interested in you. Go away. *Proceeds to talk very loudly about things I presume he will find repulsive*"

Trust me. It's not good. And the last guy I was mutually attracted to found out he was gay during our relationship. That was kind of weird. And now he's kind of avoiding me a lot. Makes me feel kinda bad.

People think my hair is naturally black all the time. I'm all like "Uhm...."

Yes, RDS, I always like to be equipped to beat the s**t out of people if the situation calls for it. 3nodding

Yeah, I know people judge me, and I've kinda gotten used to itAw! You guys make me feel all happy inside. I never thought anyone could make black makeup look good. I just thought people wear it and the style looked spiffy to me so I adopted the spikes and chains from my character Lex and then just started the makeup thing later. And actually...We're going to the Field Museum. Of Natural History or somesuch. He'll be at the King Tut exhibit (supposedly) so we'll be there to stalk/disturb him.

Goth day. rofl That is very funny for some reason. People are always calling me goth and I'm really, really not. I'm a bit too social and wild to be goth.

Dude. Today I saw this guy I knew from martial arts and he was all like "Where are you going? To a concert?" and I was like "Uhh...to book club." And I don't think he really believed me. It was pretty funny.

I don't make a point of wearing mens' clothes. But if they're cooler than what the store has for girls, I'll definately buy it.

gonk But I'm not angsty and artsy, Erin. I'm just kinda...violent a bit? If I'm hyper, I'm beat something or someone up. If I'm pissed I'll do the same. But I'm not really angsty. Ever. Except when I'm worried about school or having cancer. Otherwise, yes, I'm a bit of a freak and damn proud of it, but it's always the "I'm crazy, I have a good sense of humor, I like to stand up for what I believe in" kind of freakishness. Fun times.

I've worn all black out in 90 degree weather. But then, all I own are black clothes. It's amusing if annoying at the time.

Yeah, I agree with Erin on the Pride and Predjudice issue. It was an okay book, well written, and, yes, a bit boring, but ehh. I dunno. It wasn't bad but I don't have a real distinct opinion on it. Probably why I was agreeing with everyone on it when we did it for book club a while back.
