Jhay-R RanmaxHikaru Jhay-R Wroker Tock864 It's obviously Tifa I mean who was his childhood girlfriend and also he looked pretty comfortable at the end of the game when he's sittin next to her. Woah, bro, bro, bro... The two were friends in childhood, as stated in some game manuals as I have been told by RxH, BUT, they were NOT childhood lovers. I repeat, NOT. Actually I think Tifa might have been in the beginning stages of a slight crush when Cloud invited her to the well but it would have been just weird if they were childhood lovers. I mean I know they were 14 but the game made them look like they were 9. Jhay-R That's a very common misconception among many CloTi fans, but they started out as friends, and in fact, never dated unless you got the Cloud/Tifa date at the Golden Saucer. Which is... Kinda odd that Tifa never even asked for like a picnic or something. Actually a picnic would have been a much better date in my opinion. They were 14? Dang, learn something new everyday, don't you Jhay? Well, guess it makes sense... More sense then a 10 year old saying "I'm leaving to join soldier!" A teenage guy has got a lot of testosterone, and doing something this big seems like something a guy would do. Hell, I wanted to join the Navy and the Air Force when I hit 13, live and die for my coutnry and do something with my life... Still, Cloud telling her and souly her that he was going to SOLDIER, that's kinda cool, you know? Sort of a mix of trust between the two, and trying to impress her without really meaning to. Just kinda bittersweet in my oppinion. Because, he's going out to SOLDIER to better himself, and yet he has to leave his home and Tifa behind... Like a romance novel that was never finished... It is kinda sweet, but who you like when you are 14 is not necessarily who you like when your 21, trust me. I'm only 19 but I love someone totally different then I liked back then. As you get older you change and so does the person you liked.

I think that Cloud really liked Aries, much to my dismay, so the way I played the game I had him and Tifa go on the date at the Gold Saucer. I think that he would have gone better with Tifa considering his past with her but, alas, that cannot be so.
*SPOILER!!!!*
Now after seeing the Advent Children movie I'd have to say he got kinda "stuck" with Tifa seeing as Aries has died.

lastly, as I must say a bijillion times just because she dies doesnt mean
he'll love tifa by default
but glad to hear you think cxa I know he won't fall in love with Tifa by default. Hell, he may not fall in love with anyone at all, like Shuyin has said. Still, it's nice to dream, always has been, and always will be... I am not saying he will fall in love with Tifa just because "she's the only one left." It's just that I always saw Cloud and Aeris as very close friends, having an older brother and younger sister kind of relationship. Cleris's could say the converse of that statement for CloTi, Tifa being the older sister and Cloud the younger brother should you not be in Geometry yet... Still, should he ever learn to love again, or learn to love love instead of love like an older brother, I just see him falling for the girl that had been with him in the beginning, and later on in his life. I mean, it's just more likely should he love again to fall for Tifa instead of some random girl no one has heard of. Or god forbid Scarlet.... *shudder* Monkey monkey monkey monkey... My heart really pangs, you know? Because, people including myself like to see the love between Tifa and Cloud, people like to see the love between Aeris and Cloud, yet there are very few people that can see both.... *sigh* Monkeys...

That doesn't really mean she is older, just that she acts like the protective older sister to Cloud in AC, and Cloud acts like the protective older brother to Aeris in the game. And Pink... I think he acts like an older brother because he's her body gaurd, you know? Protects her from harm and tries to get her out of sticky wickets and all that...

physically you could say that he acts like that
he's the hero ya know!
but 'metaphorically' speaking aerith was much like an older sister
who would take care of cloud
not physically as in wounds
but she'd help him, be himself

also its not written by square but approvedGotta say this, too... *sigh* I know that it's hinted, but you can't always rely on the hints. It's a good basis, but you gotta see compaitbility, hints from the game, history, and other stuff. I dunno... I mean, Square NEVER hints on AeriSeph but I believe it because of compatibility and history... Gotta have more than one line to follow or you're boned...

Cloud say's that he wants to start a new life with her and he's seen looking at her and smiling at her and even blushing around her. In fact after Barret left, Cloud, Tifa, and Marlene lived happily for with each other for several months like a real family. That's more half a year and even when they weren’t getting along Cloud was still living there with them. The way the story was written it sounded like Cloud only started living in Aeris's church less then a month before AC began. Most of this whole story is about Cloud and Tifa starting a new life together with Marlene and eventually Denzel. There is much more evidence in the Clotif then the Cleris. Also your going to deny Clotif evidence just because Cloud's name isn't in the title? That doesn’t seem logical.
