Masaki | Academy Student | Suiton | Doton | Mokuton | | Assassin | Support ninja | Combo User | ------------------------------ [from academy] Masaki walked calmly up towards the mizukage's office. He had never seen him before, but Masaki expected to like the Mizukage. His frustration at not being trained had somewhat died down now, and he was able to resume being his cheery self. He walked up to the kage's office and knocked. "Sorry for bothering you, I am Masaki. I would like to talk to you about training?" He tried in vain to dampen his tone, he didnt want to sound too cheerful after all. The Mizukage probably wouldnt understand that side of him. He stood outside the room and waited for some form of invitation. The lady in the front had strongly recommended he do this, to avoid interrupting something important. ----------------------------- chakra 18/18

Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner Before Kaizen seemed to have any time to respond to Luo's request, another young student walked in and introduced himself. At first, the boy seemed cheerful....very cheerful. However, as the sentence progressed, he seemed to attempt to slow himself down almost as if he wanted to hide the eagerness in his voice. Nodding, Luo sighed a bit at the fact that he would have to repeat himself; it was something Luo didn't really like to do. "Good afternoon Masaki, I am the Yondaime Mizukage Luo Ushio. It is usually customary to bow in the presence of your superiors is it not Masaki?"
Posing the rather rhetorical question, Luo left no time for him to answer or even apologize as he began to speak once more. "Well Masaki, it seems you came at the right time. Kaizen here is taking two other academy students out for training and field training in water country. If you would like, I'm sure it would be no sweat off of Minoru's back if you tagged along with the two young ones he is to teach anyway."

Masaki | Academy Student | Suiton | Doton | Mokuton | | Assassin | Support ninja | Combo User | ------------------------------ ((i was actually picturing him standing outside the door, so bowing would have done no good. Still he doesn't exactly know proper manners anyways so it works.)) "bow? oh, i'm sorry." he said quietly. I never knew i was supposed to bow. what kind of sense does that make? he put that thought aside for later. His voice regained its cheer "that sounds like a good plan!" He wondered about the details, but decided it would be funner to find out along the way. Masaki did like surprises. unless they were birthday parties. birthday parties drove him nuts... it better not be a birthday party... "It isn't a birthday party is it?" he said plainly, his face serious. ----------------------------- chakra 18/18

  |- Genin-|-|- Konoha-|-|- Kyuubi-| Sev's eyes scanned back and forth, surveying everything as it unfolded. For a moment he felt uneasy, like perhaps he should step outside. That moment washed away at the slight humor he felt as he watched Kaizen become what he could potentially call "sensei". A small smile crept onto his face, one Genin was cheerful... ecstatic even. Yet Kai kept almost a cold aura about him, something had changed in him but Sev couldn't quite place it. "Ahh... training." Simple, but fun memories swarmed him at the mention of it. It truly had been too long since his last visit.

Kaizen Minoru 改善 山崎實 Lotus of the Mist Fire | Lightning | Earth | Water | Wind
At the Mizukage's request, or order rather, Kaizen's eyes widened ever so slightly, before returning to their original listless state. Before he could speak however, yet another student stumbled into the room, his manner cheerful, though he seemed to try and hide the fact. The sight of the happy child caused memories of Kaizen's own days as an academy student and genin, he had been so carefree then, even in the midst of great dangers, but now was no time to think on that. After the Mizukage had finished telling the new arrival what was to happen, Kaizen looked to each of his new... students, his cold gaze almost seeming to look past his new charges, without even a hint of recognition when his gaze fell over Sevvyn.
Turning to face the Mizukage, Kaizen bowed stiffly as he said, "As you wish, Mizukage-dono." Standing straight once more, Kaizen took the letters from the Mizukage and turned on his heel, walking past the students and out of the office on his way towards the village gates, not even looking back to make sure his students were following him. As Kaizen stepped outside of the Mizukage tower, it occurred to him that he might have to learn some of the jutsus at the same time as his new charges. Luckily he had been given scrolls for the most basic techniques upon his return as a chuunin, Luo's way of helping Kaizen to harness his full power.
With one last cursory glance over his shoulder to look up at the window to the Mizukage's office, Kaizen moved forward towards the gates."I live to fulfill the dreams of those that came before me" [exit to gates] (hope you don't mind me taking the liberty to automatically give myself some scrolls Luo mrgreen )

Masaki | Academy Student | Suiton | Doton | Mokuton | | Assassin | Support ninja | Combo User | ------------------------------ Masaki had gained a whole new level of respect for the mizukage. He had given him, a mere academy student, a mission. This was his chance to become stronger. He looked at the man Luo was referring to. He was a strange man, but his cold gaze caught his interest. He wondered if the man was strong... and how he could help him become stronger. Masaki prided himself on his ability to make others stronger. He turned and followed his new "sensei" out of the kage's village and towards the village gates without a word. [exit to gates] ----------------------------- chakra 18/18

Shaking off this feeling Gin bowed to the Mizukage and headed for the gates. {Exit: To Gates}

Hana looked over Kaizen with a analytical look. He looked strong but then again everyone does. He would have to prove that he was strong in her eyes. As everyone left, Hana bowed down and picked up Sorairo and bowed her head to the Mizukage as she ran after her new sensei and squadmates.

Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner As Luo's room at last seemed to clear out, his eyes fell on Sev who was left standing alone. Motioning for him to come closer and sit on one of the blue silk pillows with gold intricacies he brought from his own home, Luo muttered, "You like so many of my students have grown since the time I last laid eyes on you. Tell me Sevvyn Thurn, what brings you from Konoha all the way to the mist village?"

Sev's eyes watched the younger ninja leave the room, smiling all the while. Luo caught his eye with the gesture to sit down, and Sev took it. Not wanting to be so impolite as to refuse the offer.
"I suppose you're right, it has been a little over a year since then." He chuckled for a moment, had it really been that long? "Well I suppose it's the same story, just a different day. I'm here for a few reasons, but what I really want... dream of even, is mastering several sword styles. I'd like to start with both sides of the Infinite One, both Leaf and Mist."
Sev didn't want to come off as too demanding, so he let his ideas sit for a moment before sighing quietly. No matter how friendly, Luo-sama had an air of power about him. Sometimes it was unnerving, but usually it almost felt protective.

"You'll never understand me..." [Enter from: Gates of Kirigakure] [OoC: *cracks fingers* Time for an epically long return post to make up for my crappy RP-ing in the past few weeks.]xxxxShe was trembling. Her senses, sharpened from the deprivation that bordered on starvation that she forced upon herself, duly noted the gentle, rhythmic feeling of her muscles clenching and releasing in gentle, jerky motions. Her tiny frame shook, the spasms teetering on the edge of convulsions as the voices began in her head. Sayuri ground her perfectly white, straight teeth together, an audible crushing sound emanating from the tiny young woman. Her hands were squeezed so hard into fists that her fingernails cut deep into her palms, her knuckles having turned a sickly shade of off-white. She could already smell the sweet odor of blood that hadn't yet been spilled, the rust and salt smell of her memory pervading her senses, twisting and manipulating the fine line that separated Sayuri's reality and her hallucinating mind. She dragged in a long, ragged breath through her teeth, not wanting to have her mind force the memory of the smell of blood into her already sensitive senses, and was hit with a bitter memory of the taste of blood, the force of it choking her, making her gag. She whimpered slightly as the usual voices, dominated and controlled by The Voice, raged and taunted at her in her head, giving her the usual feeling of her head splitting along an invisible fault line inside of her as she knocked feebly once on Luo-dono's door and entered without being instructed to do so. There were two men in the room: the Yondaime Mizukage and Pride of the Mist himself, Luo Ushio, and a foreign shinobi whom she didn't recognize and didn't particularly care to recognize. It wasn't his face she was focused on anyways. Her eyes had rivited themselves on the side of his somewhat-exposed throat where she knew his pulse beat, pumping blood through his veins at a speed faster than the average eye would have been able to track. She tried to be subtle about where her attention was focused, but the Voice caught on before she did, and it released the full force of its silkily persuasive powers. Perfect, is it not, Saya? The perfect target. Think about it. When was the last time that you truly allowed Yume's perfectly smooth blade to taste the blood of a victim? Never, if I remember correctly, right? Why not start? He looks strong. He looks like a fighter. You know how much you prefer to play with your food before you eat it, isn't that right? He'll try to fight you. It would take one motion, Saya. No energy at all. Simply rotate your shoulder cuff and his head will fall to the floor. You and your beloved sword will taste his blood. Yume's bloodlust, your bloodlust, and our bloodlust will be satiated. Think about it, the Voice laughed sinisterly at the images that Sayuri's brain conjured to torment her, standing slumped against the wall in Luo-sama's office. She forcefully struck the back of her head against the wall, trying to inflict enough pain the chase the images from her head. Her azure eyes squeezed shut, her thick blonde lashes brushing her cheekbones lightly as the small girl seemed to collapse in on herself. "Luo-sama, when you have a moment, please." The words were spat as a rasped hiss between Sayuri's teeth, the corners of her lips pulled down into a pained grimace. I doubt Luo would mind, Sayuri. Kill the boy. It will take seconds. Kill him. Think of his blood spilling across the ground, think of it pooling on his pale skin. Think of how his eyes will look, glassy and haunted, when he dies. Do it, Sayuri, the thoughts continued. Moving no more than absolutely necessary, Sayuri unslung the enormous 65 inch blade from across her back, casting her beloved Yume from her to resist the temptation of the Voices. The speculative scenarios were all too realistic. What she would give to have her twin here to console and control her...

((Soooooooo sorry about the delay you two, I've been busy with work, and now I'm catching something!)) Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner As Sev sat and spoke, Luo's fingers drummed on the bamboo desk as if he were sort of bored. And he really wasn't all that bored, it just took quite a bit to gain his full attention. But at last he sighed and perked up a bit as the boy's question was asked muttering a simple, "I see." There was then a brief moment where the room fell silent once more as Luo thought on his answer. The infinite one style was not so easily conquered, and in fact even Luo struggled to master it in its later stages. As one of the creators of the style, that in itself was a testimony to just how nerve wracking the style really was. It was for that reason, Luo felt compelled to ask a few questions to anyone attempting the style. However, he was interrupted by the entrance of Sayuri.
Watching her movements out of the corner of his eye, Luo could decipher the manic brain activity she had going on. She was being inwardly conflicted, but by what Luo was unaware. She heaved like his cousin before she took her life, and his cousin was indeed considered insane. He could only gather that Sayuri was suffering from some bout of insanity, but the cause once again was not known to the young kage. However, if there was anything Luo's astute father and former ANBU head taught Luo, it was psychological analysis. And just by those few moments of her being in his office, he could tell that she might have to be watched carefully. "Sayuri, as a genin of the mist you are to act with the utmost of respect in front of your elders and peers. I don't tolerate feeble attempts at politeness. Either act as you should, or have someone teach you. Either way is fine with me. As for a moment of my time, I will have one for you in just a few minutes. I suggest you take that time to collect your thoughts."
As Luo's light rant ended with a hint towards whatever rampant thoughts Sayuri had running around in her head, Luo's attention returned to Sev. "Well, the style is certainly not an easy one to conquer. It takes more than diligence and brute strength to overcome some of its obstacles. That is why I must ask above all else why you chose to learn this style, and why you think you are capable of learning it under myself."

 |-Rank-Genin-| |-Village-Konoha-| |-Bijuu-Kyuubi-|((No worries Luo, my internet died for a few days while I had to wait for someone to come out and repair it sweatdrop )) The Mist-nin, Sayuri, caught Sev's attention. She seemed quiet, and bothered. But it was not nearly enough for Sev to think of it any further. Luo's words seemed somewhat dull, like his day was being stretched out with so many visitors. Sev could feel a twinge of regret, the last thing he wanted to do was be on a bad note with the Mizukage.
The question caught him off-guard, why did he want to learn this style? Sev smiled lightly, he had known for a while even if he didn't admit it. "A while back, little over a year and a half ago. I was normal, nothing special at all. Nothing great, nothing bad about me. Then a natural disaster hit, and I'm stuck with it." He turned his head so only the Mizukage could see, then lightly scratched his cheek. Hinting to the Kyuubi sealed inside him. "Now, I'm not sure exactly what all is expected of me with this. But I want to be able to never have to worry about my fellows around me." Sev tilted his head upward, he remembered the stories of the past hosts.
Sev smiled, and let out a soft laugh. "I guess you could say, if I can't master my sword. How could I master my demons?" He let the words hang in the air for a moment, but he couldn't even begin to imagine the Mizukage teaching him. It was a great honor, he didn't even know what to say to it.

"You'll never understand me..." xxxxSayuri's teeth closed over the soft pliancy of her lower lip and she crushed her jaws together with as much force as she was capable of. The soft pink skin split and began to bleed, a thin line of brilliant crimson beading on the surface and collapsing to slide down her face. She nodded once, squeezing her brilliant aquamarine eyes closed and forcing her entire body to go rigid, and tense. Her quiet breath caught in her throat and the kunoichi's body seemed to simply shut down. No. No more. No more blood. Peace. Quiet, her tension eased slightly as her breath returned to a steady, even, slow pace. The Voice in her head taunted and ridiculed her, forcing images into her conscious mind until the hatred and bitterness built up in her mouth and a fresh wave of bloodlust consumed her. Stop it. Stop it, goddamn it. Get out of my head, Saya screamed internally, shudder delicately. It will pass, Sayuri. The things that can be seen are temporary, while those that cannot are eternal. Her mother's words, in that same soft-spoken voice that the woman had always used when she spoke, cleared her mind of the scarlet haze that clouded her head. Sayuri's azure eyes, like sapphires in water, snapped open, clear, sharp and very aware. She examined the other boy closely, taking careful note of everything she saw."That's the whole point." Luo Ushio Pride Of The Mist テキスト翻訳 Suiton| Ina Hassei Ryouken No Jutsu l Fire l Mizukage l Wind l Shark Summoner As Sev answered Luo's first question, he let the young boy's words digest before nodding rather aloofly after a moment. It wasn't too bad of an answer at all, and as Sev scratched his cheek, it was clear that he hinted towards the three marks bared on each side of his face; the marks of a kyuubi host. It was something Luo understood considering Kaizen was a host himself. It was a sentiment Luo could understand, and in fact encouraged. The boy was right in a sense. What use was trying to control what was inside if he couldn't even control his weapon of choice. However, Sev had not answered Luo's second question and he was quite eager on the inside to hear it.
As Luo spoke, he kept a silent eye on Sayuri. It seemed that the kunoichi had caught her breath at last, noticing the stammering in her breathing pattern correct itself. Her eyes seemed to rest at last as she found some sort of internal relief, something Luo personally was grateful for. "Well Sev, as I've asked before, what makes you think you are capable of learning the infinite one style under someone such as myself? Certainly if you have any hopes of learning it and you journeyed so far to ask for my blessing so-to-speak, that you had an inkling of a reason as to why I would say yes, as well as to how exactly you would be taught. So I ask again Thurn, why do you think you are capable of learning under me, if at all?"
