User Image Proud Ares, warlike Olympian. What is it like having to live your palacial life alongside rhe mighty Herakles?

User Image Herakles may be an Olympian god now, but I seem to recall a time when he slaughtered your son Kyknos in Makedonia, and I also remember his vanquishing of your precious Stymphalian Birds. It must gall you to bear witness to him every day, feasting at your banquet table, knowing that he is the Allfather's favourite, while you alone of all his children Zeus would glady dispose of.

Annoying. Never fails to mention the time he speared me in the thigh...NEVER. Thousands of years have past, and he never fails to mention that. The b*****d killed two of my kids! stressed

Maybe I would get used to him, if he'd just shut up for ten seconds...and I know Zeus doesn't like me. Frankly, I don't care anymore.

Then.. trap him and say it was an "accident."

How do you trap the strongest once-mortal that ever lived? Ares, Does Herakles have any faults- Gullibleness, Prone to expletives, Accidentally insults people... Those sort of things?

He's prone to bragging. stare

There may be a sort of solution to your problem...
Does he brag about 'I once caught the biggest leviathan seen on Olympus' or even having slain a really fierce creature?

Yes, on numerous occations. Why? neutral

I'll need the exact wording of his most latest boast to work on a solution. Was it Hydras, Minotaurs, Leprechauns, Rabid Unicorns?

He claimed he had slain a herd of rabid unicorns two weeks ago, if that helps.

Has he ever bragged about catching a live Roc? I have a favour owed from a friend who can change me into a hard-to-catch creature (and hopefully back). It all depends on whether you want to make Herakles feel embarassed or have a n.d.e?

...Oh no. Oh HELL no. No way are you risking your life for that, because even though the man brags alot, not all of it is hot air. Don't even think about doing that!

I could do a simpler solution. I can create an illusion of a Great Underwater Panther that can't be caught?

Ares, out of Deimos and Phobos, which one would you sell off to Hades?

...Well, it sounds less risky. There's a good possibility that might work.

My mother told me a tale that Thor was tricked by Utgarda-Loki who made illusions over things that could not be beaten- Thor wrestled with Elli who was Old Age personified, tried to lift Jörmungandr appearing as a cat and finally tried to empty a drinking horn connected to the sea.
Maybe I could barter with a friendly wind spirit to make it appear like a Great Cat?
