Noraboo it really ticks me off to see people lie and get artists to do charity auctions for them. :/ Do tell! And as long as we;re on the subject of lying....anyone read the TokyoPop Rising Stars of Manga finalists? ( http://www.tokyopop.com/news/mangatalent/index.php ) The one called "Charlatan" is a total rip off of the 19th century ballet "Coppelia" (also made into a childrens book by the same name). gonk

I've seen the ballet, and it's wonderful. And I dunno, it just pisses me off. People lie about why they get banned and make up s**t to make people feel sorry for them, and then people raise money for them. It's really frustrating to see, and I can't go up to them and say 'so and so is full of s**t'. So I grouse here instead. XD

Why can't you just tell them they're full of s**t. xd Isn't that sort of scamming? If they are lying to get people to give them money, that sounds like a scam to me. xp

Especially pandering to people who are putting their hard time into artwork to help them out on false pretenses -,-
THat does seem to be a far too common theme of art auctions - much more than I think actual hacking of accounts or banning (which usually are for a REASON - and if not, I've heard reversing it isn't impossible) occur. People also beg around the chairty forum a LOT claiming to be attached to hacked accounts :/

I think the artist deserv to know if they're being lied to.
I'm here to tell you guys that my computer is broken so I can't do any whore banners right now. I'll catch up as soon as it's fixed. I think it was Nausicaa and Emelyn, right? If anyone else want one or if I've missed you; info/form is on page 69. whee

If they are lying to get people to give them money, that sounds like a scam to me. xp No, people are allowed to lie to get charity, like "I got hacked, donate to me?" when they weren't hacked (not something I've seen regarding art though, all the cases of hacked users having charity auctions I've seen personally were actually hacked), or "i was wrongly banned, help me get my stuff back' when the ban was fair and they're lying about the reasons for it. Plus I'd be violating the users privacy to reveal the reasons for their ban publically. It sucks and is frustrating.
