Mitsu was quiet at the comment, or rather compliment. She turned around and blushed, her actions slow like a Slowpoke, well not tht slow.

Ivy, wanting to have a bit of fun stuck out a vine, almost like an extended arm waiting to trip the fighting Pokemon. He held a mischeivous look in his eyes.

Mike smiled as he stard out to sea, the wind whipping his brown hair over his eyes. "When are we going to reach Dewford? I'm itching for a battle!"

Portabello hopped around on one foot, lauching lghtspeed kicks with the other, never halting. I'm going to pound that Brawly into sand!

((Eep! Mom's back. I may get kicked off. gonk ))

Her eyes widened at Mike's stunt. The boat found the dock and Mitsu departed from the boat Karri in her Pokeball now too. She walked up to Mike. "What's first? The gym?" She asked although she knew the answer.

The Pokeball opened, and Anna did not come out from it. Instead, another Normal-type Pokemon did. It lazily laid on the ground, not caring that it was raining.

"Perrrsian..." it purred, sounding quite relaxed. Nina smiled as she saw the expression on the male trainer's face. "That can't be... Is that really Giovanni of Team Rocket's Persian?" Nina nodded, with a coy smile. After a second, she asked, "Wait. How did you know it was..." The boy pointed to the Persian's chest. Nina saw it had an R pin on its fur. She blinked. "That pin must hurt it, unless it's some type of velcro..." She shook her head. "No matter."

The boy blinked. "How'd you get that? Do you work with Team Rocket?" Nina's expression turned to that of being disgusted. "No, never. We found it inside its Pokeball near Saffron's police barracks."

The boy said, "I see. But, it's no matter. Espeon, use Confusion!" The Espeon did as it was told, but Persian didn't seem to be affected as badly as Mihoshi was. Nina smiled a little bit. "Things are finally back in my favor, it seems. Now, let's see how well Giovanni has trained you; Persian, use a Bite attack!" The Persian seemed to object to the command at first, but got to its feet and dashed to Espeon, and bit it. Espeon seemed rather damaged by the attack as Persian quickly returned to Nina. The boy looked a little worried. "Espeon, use a rapid-fire Swift attack!" Espeon nodded, and fired many star-shaped beams toward Persian.

"Persian, use Faint Attack!" The Persian seemed to completely disappear, causing Swift to miss. Persian reappeared near Espeon and slammed into it, before once again returning to Nina.

"And here I thought Giovanna just trained you to be a lap cat," the boy commented. "Espeon, you're looking tired... try one more Confusion!" Espeon's eyes closed and it blasted Persian with Confusion, who was more affected this time than it was the last. Nina bit her lip; "If he does that again, you'll probably get confused... Quick, Persian! Give it a hard Scratch attack!"

Persian regained its bearings, before lunging at Espeon, digging its sharp claws into it. Persian jumped away and the Espeon fell to the ground in defeat. The boy recalled Espeon, and a few moments later Nina had recalled the Persian. "Good job, Persian," Nina whispered. "I wish you were my Pokemon... you shouldn't be with an evil man..."

The two trainers approached eachother.

She followed close behind. Already thinking of a stragety to use. She would most likey have the advantage of seeing Brawly in action when Mikle battled. Maybe I should go first, so Mike can have an advantage. Her thoughts flooded back to the battle with Roxanne. She was crushed easily after seeing Mike's battle, plus this time she had the type advantage on her side once more.

Kasiya had trekked to the Pokemon Center to get her and her Pokemon fed. She now waited outside, enjoying the feel of this island. People seemed to be chatting to each other, and she was happy to see several smiles come her way. Ariel sat next to her, swishing her long, fin-like tail, as they waited. Kasiya had her fingers crossed that she'd spotted the right boat when she'd flown over on the Pidgeot's back, but she'd see soon enough.

After a short walk, Mike and company found themselves at the doorstep of a small cottage. "Hm, why not make a stop, maybe they know something about Brawly!" He reached for the door, hearing a bit of a squabble coming from inside.

"I told you, it's 'ELECTRIC RHYDON' !" One boy shouted.

"No, you're so stupid, it's 'SHINEY MAGIKARP' !" A rather annoyed girl yelled, planting her hands on her hips.

"Um, might I ask what's going on? Pardon the intrusion." Mike walked in on the fight, curious as to what in fact they were screaming about.

"This idiot thinks that 'ELECTRIC RHYDON' is the new hip trend, when in fact it's 'SHINEY MAGIKARP' " She said, pointing at the rather flustered young boy.

"She lies, that's not true at all!" The boy yelled back, fists clenched.

"Kids, kids, you're BOTH wrong." Mike said with a wink to his Pokemon. "The hip phrase where I'm from is... 'Locamotive Machine' !"

The two kids gaspsed, unable to speak for a moment. Finally the girl stood forward. "You must be the guru of cool, here, I want you to have this." She held outa purple disc, containing a TM. "That's Sludge Bomb, a very powerful move that you can teach to many Pokemon, but be careful, it's on use only."

Mike took the disc with a smile, and exited the building. "Well, that was unexpected."
