What the Pho
Right now, the Manga and Jap Anime are fillers.I've never heard of manga having fillers... although I'm behind on Bleach, so I could be wrong.

Well the Espadas were about to attack and then the manga diverged to like a 10 chapter flash back.
Tried not to spoil.

Flashback isn't necessarily fillers. It's just showing their past which they do a lot. It's part of the story.

"Filler" is something I would apply to an anime as apposed to a manga, since Anime make these episodes to fill out their season, or for public demand, or whatever. i.e. the over 100 episodes of "Filler" for Naruto.

Or like when they tried to find out what was under Kakashi's mask. They use fillers also so it doesn't catch up to the manga.
