Kit nodded as they soon found their way to Dusk’s room. “I know you’re right…” She smiled, looking amused as she knocked, not getting a response. “Dusk… Dusk, darling, we know that you’re in there…” A groan came from her as the door wasn’t unlocked but the two were shadowed into the room, leaving Kit dizzy as hell. “You could have warned us…” Dusk simply groaned again as she didn’t stop her pacing. In the slip, she looked closer to getting ready for bed then getting ready for her wedding. “I don’t know if I can do this…” Kit sighed softly. “Put down the bottle Dusk…” “Hell no!” Kit glowered, looking over at Nyx. “So… Do you wanna go tell the guys we might be a bit slow or shall I?” This wasn’t going to be easy but the good thing was that Dusk wasn’t drunk and she hadn’t ran. Yet.
A glare came from Rave but Ziggy was gone before he could stop him. “You are truly planning on drinking more?” Talon shrugged as they got a glass, each getting one; even Rave. “He’s gonna be here a bit, I bet. I mean… Dusk is probably drinking now, so why shouldn’t he? You don’t get drunk easy, right?” Talon didn’t take Kyoshi as one to get hammered easily but then again, one never knew… “And is there anything you wanna do in these last moments where you’re unchained?” Ziggy rolled his eyes. “You make it sound like a curse.” “Well, is anyone else in our group married? Either of them? And not past marriages, those don’t count for Rave or Joker…”
Kalore kept his eyes on the other’s, sure that he was imagining things. But then… “Gambler.” Whispering the word, he spun on his heel, watching the other with wide eyes. Surely not. He thought that he was seeing things before he heard Monty and looked at him. “Is that… seriously it’s not… Oh hell no.” It was Gambler. He didn’t understand why he kept thinking that it was Gambler because surely it wasn’t. But then again he knew that it had to be. All of the signs pointed to it. He didn’t doubt that the woman was alive, Monty was there as proof that it was possible, but dear Goddess, why was she here?!

krusnik05 Nyx grinned and shook her head. “I’ll leave you to this…Let me tell the guys that we are going to be slow..” Winking at Dusk she walked to the door and opened it, smirking slightly as she shot an amused look at the two elves. “But don’t be too long Dusk…If you’re not careful, you just might lose Kyoshi and all these dresses and decorations would have gone to waste.” Which would be a pity since Kalore did work hard on it and made everything beautiful to the point of making those coming in look in awe. Walking out of the room and closing the door, she walked over to where the guys were holed up. Hopefully they weren’t meeting with trouble like the ladies were…That would make the wedding postpone. Monty nodded slowly and watch the party of four sit down, both Nova and Titan animated and cozying up to each other in speaking together about the ceremony and no doubt Nova was doing her best in convincing her king to make a wedding as beautiful as this. Perhaps she could just ask Kalore for it. That will be something the demon will do for his sister. Yet the two guards sat there, stiff and silent like statues. The short one, who was no doubt Gambler and going to murder the author in her sleep for keeping up with the short comments, say next to Nova, staring straight ahead. The other one sat next to the King doing the same thing. Yet there was something different about Gambler. It was the same eyes but it looked like no one was there. It was as if the life drained out of her and the eyes were the mirrors showing what was empty from within. Looking at Kalore, he touched the elf’s hand lightly. “Yes but say nothing. I’m sure keeping things to a minimum would be best until after the wedding is completed.” If anything Monty was giving Kalore the chance to calm down until later to let it out. As much as he didn’t want anything to happen to Gam, the elf earned his right to lash out if need be or to say something. Kyoshi shook his head. “Hell no. Thank the heavens I don’t get drunk easily. It wouldn’t have worked between me and Dusk.” He quipped with a grin. Looking at Talon he nodded. “Sure Tal…I want to go find the nicest piece of a** out there and go for it before I spend the rest of my nights with Dusk until everything turns vanilla.” Granted Kyoshi was joking, he knew that things in the bedroom wouldn’t lead to just vanilla. They were very adventurous even though they were bada**es. Shaking his head again he chuckled softly. “I’m kidding. No, I don’t think I have any interest in anything else before I condemn, I mean, commit myself to Dusk.” Then the last question got his attention and he stared at Rave. “You were married once? Like leg shackled and fizzled out passion turned into boring vanilla with bill payments and annoying in-laws?” Which was a god and goddess send that neither Dusk nor Kyoshi were having in-laws. It was just so shocking to him that Rave could have been married at one point. He didn’t look like the marriage type at all. Then the image of Rave married with three kids came into his head and it was….nice but scary. Rave as a father? Heaven help the next generation.

.Dusk glared and threw the bottle at the door, hissing at Nyx but Kit rolled her eyes. They all knew that it wasn’t done with ill intentions but the woman was stressed. Then again, it was pretty damn funny to watch Dusk act like this. Amused, Kit cleaned up the mess as she got the woman to finally sit down to put on the rest of her makeup, wrapping her arms around the shoulders of the Queen. “You know… I never thought that I’d ever see you walk down in white willingly, Dusk.” She kissed her cheek, the two women comfortable enough with one another to do more intimate things than just a kiss. The memories brought a smile to Dusk’s lips as Kit seemed to know what she was thinking. “Don’t even say it…” Dusk had to laugh but there was something sad about it. When she stopped, a small smile rested on her lips.
“Am I being stupid, Kit?” The blonde shrugged. ”No more than normal…” “I mean really, you b***h.” The blonde continued to laugh before she sat down beside Dusk, slowly brushing out her still short black and white hair. “Look… You’re not being stupid, Dusk. You’re doing something different for you, yeah, but that doesn’t’ make it bad.” She continued to smile, cutting off Dusk before she could say anything. “You disagree… I know. But, you also said that you’d never be back in these borders, let alone be the one to rule us.” Dusk had to think of that, slowly nodding as Kit smiled more. “See? And it’s turned out amazing. You and Kyoshi? It’s a great thing. If you didn’t marry him then I’d say you were being stupid.” The shorter woman had to smile just a bit, nodding slowly. “Alright… Alright. Finish up the damn makeup so we can get this going.”
Watching the woman for a while, Kalore had to have someone else greet the guests as he wasn’t even sure on what he thought about that. “Why is she here, Monty?” Whispering harshly, Kalore didn’t even feel anger in his tone. He was confused, surely, but there had to be something else in his tone, right? He wasn’t sure what it was, though. Instead of figuring it out, the blonde elf simply watched them before slowly turning away, letting Monty take his hand and tell him to leave them be. Would he blow up later? He knew that he wasn’t going to let that specific guard leave without speaking to her, even if he had to make up some bogus charge to keep her there for a moment… but what would he do then? Kalore didn’t know. He really, truly, honestly didn’t know and didn’t have a damn clue.
Talon laughed at the other, “Oh darn… I’ll tell Zig to cancel the strippers.” He grinned but then the grin wavered as Rave was questioned. The pyro didn’t know the stoic man that well but he knew his past well enough and knew how Rave reacted to it. He was surprised to find that Rave simply nodded but there was a tense air about him. “Hey… back off for just a bit, man.” He nudged Kyoshi’s side, shaking his head. Rave did answer, though tense as he did so, not looking at either of them. “Yes, Kyoshi, I was married. I almost was a father as well, if that is on your mind.” He said nothing more of it, though. Isabella… No, now wasn’t the time to think of it. Rave knew that he probably wouldn’t allow himself to fall into that trap again. First with Isabella, second with Gambler… it just wasn’t worth it.
“Ziggy should be back soon… you guys want anything?” Talon glanced between them. “He’s bringing booze… I know Dusk. We’ll be on time but we’ll be pushing it.” Hell, she had even managed to be late for the wedding before; and that was when they had to drag her out. Now she was choosing it. He knew she would doubt it. He didn’t doubt her choice, though. Talon didn’t think any of them did.

Kyoshi blinked but kept his mouth shut, nodding respectfully at Rave. “Well…Let’s hope this is the only wedding for a while….” He smiled slightly, trying to attempt to be light hearted. “Though by the looks of how Joker stares at Kit when she’s not looking….I’d say there could be on in the making.” Then he looked thoughtful. “You think Kalore could prepare for a wedding when Joker works up the nerve to do it?” Now that would be awesome so they didn’t have this delay. If Dusk was nervous about this, then who knows how Kit would react to this being her day.
Nyx walked over to where the guys were holed up and knocked on the door firmly. “Kyoshi? Gentlemen? The ladies are having a delay. Something about the dress and liquor.” Which was the truth since the dress wasn’t on Dusk and she had liquor. “If you will just wait a while I’ll come back to let you know when it’s been resolved.” She said through the door, which made Kyoshi grin. “Yeah? Well…If she doesn’t come out ready to meet me at the altar, Ziggy hired strippers and they might be useful if we are here too long.” Nyx rolled her eyes. “If I told her that she might kill you before she meets you at the altar….Then again maybe that’s a good thing since everyone is here, it can be a funeral rather than a wedding.” Kyoshi twitched and snarled a curse.
“I don’t know why she is here Kalore. I can’t read her mind nor can I predict her movements.” Whispering softly, Monty leaned close to Kalore. “I’m going to sit with them since my sister is there and if you like I can see if she will answer me….Will that be good or no?” He asked, worried that some of the elves here that knew Gambler or could recognize her would have a few words to say to her. Perhaps it wouldn’t do much but maybe he was siding a bit with her in not wanting the same reaction he got on her. That wouldn’t be comfortable.

Kalore nodded slowly, not totally sure on what to think. Looking down for a moment, he grit his teeth before leaning back slowly to rest on the wall. “I… Alright. See… see if you can figure it out.” He glanced over near the woman, his eyes narrowing. “If you can’t then… that’s fine.” He’d figure out a way for the woman to stay. With the relations that they had with the fae, it wouldn’t be too surprising if one of the guards was held. Before, in times past, there had been problems with one another’s guards. Kalore could use that to make sure no one was suspicious. He could even have them both interviewed but he’d be the one to talk to Gambler. Or Monty too… seeing as he knew the redhead would get a bit pissed at him doing that. But damnitt, he wanted to know why that woman was there.
Laughter came from Talon at the woman’s words. “I knew it! Knew she’d get drunk!” Rave shook his head but a small smile tried hard to appear on his lips. “She is not getting drunk, Talon… simply attempting.” Talon grinned and poked his head out at Nyx, smiling at the woman. “Just get us when she’s dressed. Or not dressed… you can send her out that way as well…” “Talon!” A laugh came from behind Nyx as Ziggy had the drinks, laughing hard. “Behave, damnitt! She’s not yours anymore, man.” The pyro stuck his tongue out but glanced over at Nyx, smiling and… pleasant. “But yeah… just tell us, alright? We’ll make sure this guy’s at least a little presentable… Got a long way to go…”
He laughed as Ziggy nudged the man aside. “Flirt later. I have drinks!” Rave could only sigh, running a hand over his face. And this was what he had to deal with… At least he could find the humor in it, however.

krusnik05 Kyoshi twitched as he glared at Talon’s back, muttering under his breath. The only way Dusk was going to come out in nothing with him and him only…Or else blood was going to be shed. Nyx on the other hand rolled her eyes at what Talon was saying but there was amusement in her violet eyes. “I promise to let you know the status on Dusk.” Then she twitched and scowled at Ziggy. Talon wasn’t flirting with her. She would have noticed and possibly either responded in kind or… You know it was hard to continue talking smack about Talon since the pyro did grow on her. “Anyways,” Her eyes rolled with annoyance at Ziggy. “I’ll go ahead and leave. Make sure you don’t have any strippers in there…Or do…Maybe that will inspire her to at least get out and enjoy the show.” Grinning, Nyx turned around to walk back to where the ladies were, her walk graceful and sensual in the bridesmaid outfit. Monty nodded and kissed Kalore’s cheek, not caring who saw or who thought anything. He was learning to not antagonize the elf and he was learning that their differences didn’t have to make things difficult but make them stronger. “I’ll try but I won’t promise anything. “ Looking over at the seating group, he kissed Kalore’s cheek. “I’ll go now if you like to see if I get anything out of her….If not I’ll let you know.”

With another nod, Kalore was about to let him just go before he reached out, taking the other’s arm and pulling him back. A gentle kiss was placed on his lips, a soft smile appearing on the other’s face. “Alright… if you can’t figure something out, then I can figure something out, alright?” Kalore said no more as he turned and began to walk away. He needed a better distraction, one that he wouldn’t take to some closet somewhere where he knew people would hear but Kalore was beginning not to care. There had been some run-ins with Kristopher lately, some run-ins with some others from his past while he was with Monty, but the blonde was beginning to care less and less.
Though, he wasn’t able to stop caring about his family. b*****d. Sighing softly, he ran a hand through his hair before he put on a smile. Time to greet the guests.
Talon watched her go, smiling just a bit as he leaned against the doorframe. Tilting his head a bit, he enjoyed every motion of the warrior woman before Ziggy yanked him back into the room. “We don’t need anything else going on, damnitt…” A drink was thrust into his hand as the pyro couldn’t stop laughing. “You’re just jealous that you don’t have an interest…” The bluenette shrugged. “If I want someone then I’ll go find a girl for a night. For right now, I honestly don’t care.” He grinned, though, as he watched the angel in front of them. “Now… a little toast to the man of the hour… A man who’s braving what none of us would dare…”
Even Rave had to chuckle at this as Talon just lost it, raising the glass. “Here, here!”
Surprisingly, Dusk had made some progress. She no longer had a glass in her hand, didn’t even have a longing look for the alcohol that she had lost. Her eyes were set forward, watching as Kit played with her short hair, simply adding a circlet to it, not doing anything else with the short, not even to her shoulders cut. The black and white streaked locks looked unique, exotic as Kit applied the eyeliner to her almond eyes, bringing out the abyss that was already in Dusk’s eyes. Her lips were painted a luscious dark red, enticing and wonderful, while the rest of the makeup was bare minimum. She looked… perfect. And that was without the dress and veil.
Kit couldn’t stop smiling as she hugged the woman tightly. “You look beautiful.” Dusk had to smile a bit, glancing over as she touched her hair, shaking her head. “It… I can’t believe that it’s me… and we’re not even halfway there.” The blonde could only smile, nodding. “Well… in a few minutes we’ll be ready. And the you’ll see just how beautiful you really are.” And they only had a few more minutes. Everyone was sitting and ready. It was almost time.

krusnik05 Nyx came to the door and knocked lightly. Entering she closed the door and looked at the vision before her. Raising both eye brows she smiled slightly. “Well….If you getting married isn’t enough to turn heads no doubt you looking that beautiful will do it.” Walking over she looked at each inch of Dusk that was done even though she didn’t have the veil and dress yet. “Kyoshi is going to have a good heart attack when he looks at you.” With that, she let the women know that the boys were almost ready, they were just finishing something up and going to drink, from what she say Ziggy carrying. Lifting his glass up, he looked at them and chuckled. “Don’t say that. Someday your going to do the same thing and if you don’t then you might lose the one thing important to your very life.” Stopping for a moment and rolling his eyes at how sentimental that sounded, he chugged down the drink and looked back at his best men. “Alright….I’m ready. I can do this and stand out there with everyone’s eyes burning into me.” Which was possible given that he wasn’t an elf. Nodding, the demon smiled slightly and looked at Kalore in surprise when he was kissed gently by him. Yet he couldn’t say anything else as the elf was gone off to do something that was no doubt giving him distance between him and the woman in question. Walking over he sat down next to Gambler, nodding a greeting to his sister. Leaning close, he softly spoke to her in their language to see if he would get a response. Gambler sat there like a statue. Just….Not moving….Not even breathing as she just stared straight ahead and ignoring Monty.

Dusk laughed softly, shaking her head. “I… I’m not that good looking… This hair, damnitt.” Kit smiled, touching th strands. “I like it. I mean, how you got it is messed up, but damn, I like it.” A shrug from the bride and the minutes went by in a blur. Before she knew it, she was dressed, veil and everything, and looking at the mirror in pure astonishment. Kalore had outdone himself yet again. She didn’t even… it didn’t even look like her. “Go… Go and tell Kyo that we’re ready, alright?” Dusk’s voice was softer, a bit of fear in it. Was she really going to do this? Kit nodded and soon was gone, reaching the boy’s room as she knocked.
Laughing with the guys, Ziggy had to admit that this was all weird. Kyoshi was being sentimental and that sure as hell wasn’t normal. With the other’s constant desire to shoot him in a club, Ziggy hadn’t thought that they’d be like this, drinking and laughing. The current lover, almost husband, of their girl… it was weird. But the knock on the door sounded and Rave opened it, nodding to the beautiful blonde. She had to smile at them, nodding to Kyoshi especially. “We’re ready, boys. Places.” With that, Rave shooed her away to get the others as he turned and watched Kyoshi. “I will get Kalore and let him know that we are starting… Be prepared to walk down the aisle. Ziggy, Talon, you two will follow him. I will have to go in with Dusk…” He played two roles but he couldn’t think of that at the moment. “Now… shoo. Get moving.”
By the time he was with Kalore, the blonde seemed… stressed. Now wasn’t the time to think of it as he nodded. “We’re ready.” Nodding, the blonde got the others to take their places and ushered people to sit down. The music would start, Kyoshi would walk down, the others would follow, people would take their places and… and then Dusk would come out. Goddess, it seemed like it was almost to much.

krusnik05 Nyx smiled at the sight of Dusk, tilting her head to the side. “May the sun shine upon you and Kyoshi on this day and all your days to come. It’s something we say when we wish another well….I wish you the best.” With that the woman took up her flowers and offered Dusk her’s, waiting for when it was the women’s turn to walk. Kyoshi blinked and stiffened a bit. It was time. Holy hell it was time!!! Cracking his neck, his back, and his hands the seraph went into his mind to bring out the blank expression he would use when he was going to do a hit to keep all his nerves under control and hidden. Muttering a prayer in his language, he made sure he looked good and started to walk out. At least he had Joker and Monty there as the familiar faces he could count on to look at for some strength.

As the music started, everyone was sitting down and in their places. Kyoshi walked to the alter, Talon and Ziggy behind him and soon beside him. Gabe and Ali walked down with their adorable outfits, Kalore having to smile as Ali giggled, putting flowers in Gabe’s hair as well. She was cute. And then the women… Kit and Nyx and Alice all three looked stunning as they walked down, Kit glancing over as they passed Joker, smiling at him brightly while Alice just nodded a but to some fae that Kalore wasn’t sure he knew. Ziggy caught the look but this was all in front of thousands of people… no time to react. As the music changed, he, along with every other person there, held his breath. The doors opened and…
Nothing.
Dusk wasn’t there.
His eyes widened as he glanced over at Rave but the man wasn’t there either. It wasn’t a too awkward pause, this was normal, and they had things to distract from the Queen not being there, but… still. He looked over at Kyoshi, biting his lip. Dusk wouldn’t run out on him, Kalore knew, but she wasn’t there. He strained his ears, trying hard to hear her or something, but he couldn’t hear her. He was sitting away from Monty, near the front so that he could make sure everything on this end did well while some others focused over near the back. Damn it all, where was she?
“I can’t do this.” Pacing, dress in hand, the woman was nearly hyperventilating. Rave tried to get her to calm down but it was getting harder. Finally, his hands rested on her shoulders, the bare skin cool under his touch. “Calm. Down.” She parted her lips to speak but he shook his head. “Cecilia… Dusk, listen to me.” His eyes, the icy blue that she was so used to, bored into her own obsidian ones, causing her to feel as though she were sixteen again, getting in trouble for jumping off the roof. Goddess, she wished she could be that again. But as he spoke, she slowly began to calm down, happy just to listen to something familiar. “You can do this. You want to do this, else you would not have dealt with all of it.” He gently touched her cheek. “Calm.”
As the doors opened, signaling her need to go out, she just shook her head, her eyes a bit watered, whispering. “I can’t do it.” He smiled softly, a strange thing to see from him but enough of a push to make her… listen. “Yes you can.” A gentle kiss was pressed to her forehead. Her eyes closed for a second as she took in a deep breath. The thirty seconds had to feel like an eternity, for everyone, seeing as it did for her, but slowly she calmed down. “O-Okay… Okay.”
He nodded and soon the two embraced. Her father wasn’t there, so no one was there to give her away. Originally they weren’t going to have someone do such a thing, but as he kissed her forehead again, shifting so that he was in his own place, able to fade in without anyone there to see him, Dusk couldn’t think of anyone better to use. Rave was her father-figure. And now she was alone in the room, pacing for a few more seconds before the music sounded. She closed her eyes, whispering a prayer, before turning and soon she was visible.
From top to bottom, Dusk looked like a vision. Her dress clung to her body, gracefully falling off in waves of silken material to give her the shape that every woman dreamed of with a trail behind her that was elegant, but not incredibly long. The stitching was simplistic at first, until one looked up close. To match the black and white in her hair, Kalore had changed the design of the all-white gown, including onyx stitching as well to give her a shimmering look as she walked. Her feet weren’t visible, Kalore knowing that he needed to cover the boots that she wore underneath the dress, but with her graceful strides, silent as she walked, no one could tell. But it wasn’t the dress alone that caused her to turn heads.
Dusk’s eyes nearly captivated all as the eyeliner made her catlike eyes shine brighter, just the smallest hint of violet eye shadow to go with the theme surrounding them. With the bloodred lips, the fullness was more apparent and her face had a beauty that was… breathtaking. With the Queen’s circlet resting on her brow, the veil giving her the apparition type look, she looked almost identical to the ghost of her mother that they had met years ago. Just now she was… Dusk. All Dusk. Holding a bouquet of violet roses, the slightest smile on her lips as she walked down the aisle, her arm soon in Rave’s as he walked her down the rest, soon parting ways as he kissed her forehead once more.
Walking to the alter, she nearly stopped again but with a small nod to herself, her eyes remained on the one man that they had stayed on. Kyoshi. She couldn’t keep her eyes off of him, blown away by the man’s own beauty. Even with his disheveled hair, she wouldn’t dream of changing a damn thing about him. The thought brought a smile to her lips. No… she couldn’t change him at all, even if she wanted to.

krusnik05 Joker sat at the front in his handsome tuxedo with a large white handkerchief that was held against his face as large tears spilled down his cheeks. Watching everyone take their places was beautiful, especially Kit. How beautiful she looked in her bridesmaid outfit that it…No, he couldn’t think of things like that when their relationship was still pretty new. Turning to see the door for Dusk, he braced himself…. But no one was there. Joker frowned slightly and looked up at Kyoshi. Kyoshi stood there like a statue with a blank look but within…The seraph froze and felt a sharp pain in his chest. It wasn’t that he thought Dusk didn’t want to marry him, he thought she wasn’t ready and it was his fault. Kyoshi held himself stiff there, with his eyes wandering over the crowd until it settled on a set of brown eyes that were so familiar that it made him momentarily stop thinking about where Dusk was and whether he should go find her…He would have to keep his eyes closed to not look at the bride but…. Then the set of brown eyes looked directly at Kyoshi but the face was fully covered. Trying to think of where he had seen those eyes, the eyes winked at him then looked straight ahead. Before he could react…His attention went to the doors where Dusk was walking through. Eyes going wide, his breath taken away, Dusk was a complete vision. She was so beautiful that he had to wonder how he managed to ever be with such an incredible person. Kyoshi’s eyes were only on Dusk that showed a love so bright it make him breathless and a smile slowly grew. Hot damn, Kyoshi and Dusk were really going to get married.

The ceremony went without a hitch. Dusk couldn’t keep her eyes off of the man before him, smiling softly and soon even taking a step closer to him. With all of these people around her, watching her and trying to judge her or do something to make sure that she was behaving, she couldn’t do anything out of protocol. But she couldn’t help it. Touching the other’s hand gently, Dusk couldn’t help but smile at him as the priest spoke loudly so all could hear. He did what he needed and followed her demand of making this quick, but there was one thing that was up to all of them. The vows.
With the last stretch there, Kit and some others dabbed at their eyes, smiling brightly. It was… amazing. “Now… both bride and groom have requested their own vows… Prince Kyoshi is to begin.” Dusk smiled at the title. He was considered a prince now… but soon he’d be a king. Soon. Dear Goddess she was actually doing this…

krusnik05 Kyoshi smiled widely at Dusk, totally captivated by her appearance and her presence. He was so far gone as he touched Dusk’s hand to hold it in his, he was startled by the voice of the priest calling him Prince Kyoshi. Holy cow he was a prince! Like The Prince. Well not the musician Prince but the title you know? Then the rest of the priests words cut in this mind…The Vows. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Dusk, into her beautiful eyes that seemed to swallow him whole. With a strong, loud voice for everyone to hear, Kyoshi expressed himself into words that would never be enough to express how much he loved her. “My love…Since the first time we met, we have been through the very good and the very worst….” Kyoshi held Dusk’s hand firmly in his hand to feel her warmth. “Despite all that, I couldn’t imagine myself going through life’s challenges and joys with anyone else other than you. I stand before you and everyone else here declaring my eternal love to you. I will always be your friend, your partner, your lover and whatever else you need me to be. I will stand beside you even when you want me gone, I will lend you an ear and a shoulder. I will tell you the truth even when you don’t like it but need it.” Kyoshi smiled wider, getting into saying his personal vows. “I take you as my equal…My heart, my soul and my life.” With that Kyoshi finished his first ever, and possible last, sentimental declaration of his love.

Listening to the vows, Dusk’s eyes welled up just a bit. “Dear Goddess, you Old Man…” Whispering that, she clung to his hands, unable to believe the words that he spoke to her. They were beautiful, perfect. As the priest smiled at the couple, he turned, stating that it was time for the Queen to say her own vows. Like before, she froze, but at least this time she had Kyoshi’s hands in her own, keeping her at least a little more stable than she had been on her own. “Kyoshi… Kyoshi, as I stand here before you, I’m astounded by all that we’ve accomplished… We met and I was lost, not where I needed to be. Through all of our… arguments,” she, along with every other member of their group, grinned at the comment, “we have stuck it out and created something… amazing.”
Dusk looked down for just a moment. “I’m not… I’m not sure that I can really form into words the love that I have. I never wanted it… I never thought it was for me. I never thought that we’d get to this point, or that I’d get to this point with anyone. Now… Now I wouldn’t give it up for anything.” Her grip tightened on his hand. “I don’t think I say it enough, really… but… I love you. I love you more than anything out there, more than anything that will ever come near us or even attempt to come between us. Through everything, fights, deaths, battles, illness… Nothing will be able to separate me from you, Kyoshi. And it’s for that reason that I ask… implore you, beg you, to allow me to be your… your wife.” The words were strange on her tongue, yet came so easily as she watched the man.
“I… I love you, Kyo… I can’t imagine a world where you’re not with me… So, I take you as my other half… my equal, my heart, my soul, my life…” She squeezed his hand, unable to believe this but… soon, the priest grinned at them, the book in his hand closing as he said the magic words. “And now, with the power vested in me… I now mark you as husband and wife.” He looked at Kyoshi, the elf chuckling as he gestured.
“You may kiss your bride.”
