Raidek shook his head, taking another fair sized drink from the bottle of liquor. He watched as Jania moved through the crowd taking up a seat close enough where she could eavesdrop on the conversation.

Turning away from the others at the table, disregarding Kin's expression and ramblings, his eyes falling upon Jania. "Girl, aren't you a little young to be in such a rough place..." He smirked letting her know full well that she had not been so subtle, "perhaps you should get along, wouldn't want to see you get hurt." Raidek's grin twisted slightly as he took another drink from the bottle.

Raidek brought his attention back to the group at the table, just as Kin finished asking Sai about the silent caster's name. Waiting for Sai's response, though he himself knew the answer, Raidek allowed himself to partially drift off into a day dream of the most brutal torture. The victim, Kin.

"He didn't announce himself before attempting to kill me, but I'm fairly sure it was the commander of their group, Aruhl Gregor. And that's all I really know on the subject." Sai said.

A serving girl passed by and Sai motioned for her to bring him a drink. Simply talking about the Guard from the previous night was making him tense. Images danced through his head of red clad men swarming the tavern and executing him and his allies with swords through the heart.

Stratus thought to him.

Sai responded.

Stratus replied, having caught a hint the tone of his thoughts.

"So, Raidek, where are you headed from here?" Sai said, deliberately attempting to change the subject.

"Before you, there." Hayte said, and gestured to a space on the ground roughly halfway between himself and his black clad adversary. Spio suddenly appeared there, shifting through several bright colors, before turning back to invisible. "That is my partner."

Hayte thought to his well camouflaged partner.

Spio responded, and began to move very slowly into position.

Raolain quirked a brow at the display.

Before he could finish his mental projections to her, Cookie whooped in anticipation and bounded off Raolain's shoulder, flying in a tight corkscrew like a comet before stopping to hover where the chameleon had just been a moment before, bouncing up and down in the air while laughing musically.
"Awwwwwwpoorscalythingdoesn'twannabeseen?Because
I'ts UGLYUGLYUGLYHahahahahaha!"

Raolain resisted the urge to smack his forhead and ground his teeth.

Jania was a little surprised Raidek had seen her. She had been convinced that he was lost in thought of the idea of another silent caster, then again he had found her so he was probably just fishing for information. "I am not a little kid and you know it," she replied back a little viciously. "Videor senior," she said and her 9 year old form was once again replaced by that of a beautiful twenty year old. For some reason the thought of Raidek, her new apprentice, telling her that she should go home was infuriating.

Rayneer warned in her mind.

< Technically you don't have the right.> Rayneer reminded her.

Jania thought back.

Rayneer began as Jania began forming a spell in her mind, bringing her fingers to point at Raidek. Without incantation she allowed her magic to flow and two strings shot out at Raidek aiming for his shoulders. Jania didn't even bother looking to see if she caught her target or not, once she felt the strings attach she pulled, hard. <. . .silent cast.> Rayneer thought, a little downtrodden.

Raidek snapped from thought, the smile on his face disappearing slightly as he heard the name. Aruhl Gregor… He brought the bottle to his mouth taking a long drink.

That’s when he noticed it, the small magical string attach itself to the bottle, b***h! Raidek had already begun standing when Jania pulled on the strings, the bottle flying from his hand and the chair toppling to the floor.

Raidek twisted his body and throwing his right hand out toward the flying bottle, “Incendia.” A stream of fire leapt from his hand and stuck the bottle of alcohol exploding it into a mass of fire and molten glass as it flew over Jania's table. He wasn’t finished though. Raidek brought his foot back as he turned his body focusing on Jania, “Incendia!” A blast of fire erupted from his hand and it would follow the mass of objects in the second or so it would take to reach its target. “Procella vis ventus!” The air spell threw a strong gust of wind behind the fire spell as it moved toward Jania, lifting up Raidek’s fallen chair, Jania’s own table, as well as items a good three feet to the left and right of Jania’s table. pushing them at the mage as if the objects were nearly weightless.

Dropping to a knee, his breathing as if he’d just sprinted a quarter mile, Raidek shook his head while the mass moved toward Jania, his free hand moving to grab the scythe at his side.

Jania was going to be content with embarrassing her apprentice but she realized she had taken him lightly when she missed him and hit his alcohol bottle and chair. Jania heard the spell and immediately knew she was going to have to prepare for a counter attack. Her first reaction was stand up out of her chair as a small amount of burning alcohol hit her in shoulder leaving a small burn.

She heard Raidek say another incantation and before waiting to see what this one did she recited the first spell she could think of "Glacies Contego mihi ex vulnero," putting roughly half her remaining stamina into the spell. Luckily for Jania the full moon was near enough in coming that her ice spell activated, and a thin layer of ice shot up from the ground around her, the ice withstood the fire attack but the table was a different matter and Jania had to duck down to avoid the attack, her ice shield completely shattered. Jania lay still for a mere microsecond looking at Raidek from her position on her hands and knees on the ground.

"I underestimated your speed," she commented lightly, "Your much faster at incantation then most people I've fought. It may be easier to train you to silent cast then I thought." She sounded genuinely impressed with her apprentice.

Aruhl Gregor... Kin repeated to himself in his mind. Suddenly he noticed Raidek's odd behavior, speaking to what appeared to be a little girl. After what seemed to be a few seconds, the battle has already started with Kin not even making a single movement. Everything happened so quickly the last thing Kin heard was the comment the newly appeared woman who seemed to be the little girl disguised before. "Easier to train you to silent cast?" Kin muttered out loud very quietly. His expression was in utter surprise at the events that just transpired. All this time he was trying to find out about a silent caster when one just appeared before him.

Kin's body shook with excitement and breathed heavily. He has an overwhelming urge to attack this new adversary, knowing she could silent chant. Kin stood up slowly, facing Raidek and the new opponent who still did not know the same to. I know if I make a move now... It will ruin Sai's stay here and perhaps his trust with me. I don't know if I can take hat risk... But... It's just too much to be standing idly by. Kin argued with himself. It was apparent Kin was struggling to make a decision as well as contain himself.

Vix thought to Kin. Kin gave no reply.

Spio thought at the irritating fairy. He then turned his thoughts to Hayte.

Hayte produced a spellbook from underneath his cloak and flipped through a few pages. "Caecus lingua."

Spio recognized the spell and felt the power settle into his own body. He had moved closer to the enemy mage, as instructed, and now stood facing away from him, towards his fairy partner. She wasn't far away, and he thought he could make the shot. He lashed out with his 6 foot tongue, which took all of about 30 thousandths of a second, aiming for the diminutive familiars face.

Sai was slightly dumbfounded by everything that had happened in the last second or so. He had noticed Raidek twist around to speak to a small girl, who had then changed into an attractive woman, whom Raidek had then attacked, were upon Sai had leapt away from his own seat, twirling his staff into a defensive posture while drawing his sword. The thing that had struck him dumbfounded, however, were the last few words that the woman had spoken after dodging Raideks assault.

'Train you to silent cast'... He's being trained. To do what Gregor did...

Sai noticed, from his defensive crouch, that the serving girl had been on her way back to their table with his drink when she, too, had stopped to watch the spectacle. He rose from his crouch and stepped over to her. He dropped a few coins on her serving tray and took his drink, which he promptly quaffed.

At about that same time the bartender ran up to them, a large club in one hand and a black furred bear at his side. "Alright, that's enough. I want all of you out of my bar, now." He put extra emphasis on that last word.

Sai, hoping to diffuse some of the tension in the room, sheathed his sword and set his staff back into a more comfortable 'walking stick' position.

"My apologies, sir." Sai said and then turned back to the others. "Let's go." Then he turned, and led the way back outside. He walked to the other side of the street, and waited there for the others to catch up to him.

Cookie was not one to stay still for very long at all, and constantly moved from here to there. Despite her speed and inability to stay still, she sqwacks ((spelling?)) loudly as something warm and sticky smacks into her foot.

Yeeeeoffoffoffyuckyscalything!"

Jania got up slowly trying to hide her weariness. She was still a long time away from reaching her full power and she had done not one battle but a battle and and ice shield while launching 2 string attacks on Raidek. Her energy was almost gone.

Rayneer asked.

Rayneer said as Jania left the bar for the second time time that day, this time following the man named Sai.

Spios tongue made contact, with the fairies foot instead of her face, and he instantly retracted it. Instead of drawing the fairy to him, though, it left a gob of viscously sticky mucous behind. As soon as he retracted his tongue he moved, cautiously so as not to make any noise or give any sign of his presence, around the black clad man and to his other side.

Spio thought to his partner.

Hayte responded.

Kin was still at his breaking point when he saw Sai making his move to leave the bar. With his mind in turmoil in deciding what choice he should make, he followed closely behind Sai as if he were a crutch. Calm down… These other people are just a distraction on your way to your current goal… Pay no mind to them. Sai is the ultimate prize at the end of the road. Kin repeated within his mind as he followed Sai out.

Raidek's hand was still on his scythe, still on one knee, he was lost in thought after hearing the bartender.

Kill him, kill the bartender and his fury friend.
No.

Raidek placed his spell book back inside his vest, putting the hand then on his forehead trying to block the discussion in his mind from reality.

You know you want to kill.
"I'm going to leave."
No, kill the man, then the bear.
No!

Raidek began to stand, but fell back to a knee, he looked seeing Sai and Kin, Jania, not very far behind him exit the tavern.

Kill
"Quiet..."

"I'm fine."

Raidek managed to stand the voice in his head still trying to order him to kill. He weakly moved past the bartender and out the door to try and catch up with the others.

You disappoint me...

Raolain narrowed his eyes as Cookie swore and squealed in high pitched tones, trying in vain to rub off the sticky gob on her foot. It seemed his opponent was more clever than he had realized. Reaching into his robes, Raolain withdrew a small spellbook and flipped through a few pages before finding what he thought might be helpful.
Drawing power to himself, Raolain extended on hand before him, palm down and eyes closed as he chanted softly,"Sel'tur Har'dro," After a moment Raolain felt the power flow through his body and into the ground, the earth around the combatants for twenty yards softening to a thick, viscous mud. He grimaced as he sank into the muck to almost his ankles and looked to Cookie.

Sai waited until all three of the others that had been told to leave the bar had followed him to the other side of the street. He fixed a serious expression on his face, which was suiting because he was in a serious mood.

"Alright. What the hell was all of that?" He asked, then turned to Raidek. "What the hell are you doing attacking people in a bar?" He turned to the young woman. "Who are you? And did I really hear you say that you were training Raidek to cast without incantations?"

Stratus asked.

Stratus grunted a mental affirmative, though Sai could sense his displeasure at having to remain within his stone, and miss out on all of the fun.
