"Mmm, it's the best when they come at you without any sort of weapons. Just pure manpower versus manpower," she said, thinking back to some of her fights throughout the city. She had been training for years, but before she got to New York she never really understood the thrill of taking on an immortal with your bear hands. Lycans were a little tougher, if only for the size difference, but since she was turned the effect on her strength, speed, flexibility - it all made her a more deadly fighter in hand to hand combat. Turning her attention back as he agreed with the outcome of her encounter at the diner, she laughed slightly as he let out a sigh.
"Oh, don't get all broody. Everyone is discrimintated against sometime. Hopefully it'll pass...no one said it was going to be easy. Being a hunter AND a vampire is by far the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Have both groups not trusting me once in a while. But, I wouldn't have it any other way." Taking the bottle from Marcus as he refilled his drink, she managed to pour another half a glass for herself before taking a sip of the amber liquid. As much as she complained about her plight, it was clear to those that knew her how much she loved the life she lead. She was good at what she did, and she had an amazing group of friends around her. Ones that she could even joke about sleeping together without it being insanely awkward.
"Oh, it could have nothing to do with being a lightweight and passing out on the floor. And for the record, I put you on the couch. You're the one that wanted the bed," she said with a laugh, sticking her tongue out at him playfully as she took another sip of her drink as the conversation turned to her jacket. He offered to buy her a new one, a very sweet gesture, but the huntress simply shook her head.
"Aww, you're so sweet. But you're not spending your hard-earned money on little ol' me. Brownie points for offering though." Leaning into him softly, giving him a soft nudge to show that she did appreciate the gesture, the huntress broke into a soft chuckle, running her finger around the edge of her glass absentmindedly.

The hunter offered her a warm smile at the comment about discrimination and shrugged his shoulder. Even though she was right, didn't mean Marcus had to be pleased with it. Letting out a sigh of slight frustration at how the world worked, the man took a sip of the strong drink and chuckled to ease his mind.
"Now wait here. You could of left me on the bar floor. It wouldn't be the first time." He laughed as he shook his head to the comment, then laughed a bit more at the brownie points system she was using. "Also, we still use brownie points here? Delicious." Bearing his mischievous smirk, Marcus shrugged his shoulders as he glanced at the coat once more. "But no brownie points for me. I'm on a diet. The only reason I offered is well...you look attached to the thing."
"Anyways...seems pretty quiet here. I wonder where everyone has gone off to?" Glancing at the empty bar, the man's thought then began to wander off to the vampire from earlier. "Heh, don't think they got some major hunt goin' on or something, do you?"

Kerrigan laughed as he said she could have left him on the floor, a distant look appearing in her eyes for a moment, as if she were considering the possibility before breaking into a grin, shaking her head.
"Now, I would hope, in everything we have learned of each other over the past few days, that you would realize by now I am not as much of a b***h as people might think," she said with a laugh, taking a drink as he commented on the brownie points system. At first she gave him a soft wink as he expressed midl excitement, then sticking her tongue out at him when he said he was on a diet, explaining his reasoning for offering to buy her a new jacket.
"What's the fun in diets if you miss out on things like brownies? Daffy humans," she said with a chuckle, shrugging slightly as being attached to her jacket.
"If anything, I feel like I should buy you a new jacket. I wasn't exactly there to back you up, now was I? That's what I'll do! What're your measurements, I'll find you a spiffy new coat," she said with a laugh, though the look in her eyes told him she was being serious. After all, they already had this conversation earlier in the evening - her money came from a trust fund, so she was pretty much set for the rest of her life.
"It's getting early. Everyone is probably sleeping, or they'll be back in a little bit. We run on a backwards schedule here, unless something big is going down during the day, as I'm sure you noticed." Grinning, she down the rest of her drink, stifling a yawn with the back of her hand as she slipped her jacket off, tossing it onto the stool next to her. Her white cami had a good sized blood stain on her abdomen, it really looking a lot worse than it actually was. It was a good thing the man in the diner was just a normal human - she was really getting soft (and drunk) if she couldn't avoid an attack like that. Good thing she still had fighting instincts when she was pretty tipsy - no wonder she survived for so long in this city.

"Eh, you aren't no b***h and from what I've heard and seen, no one has said otherwise...yet." The hunter said softly as he offered a warm laugh and another sip of his drink. Studying the woman in silence as she spoke of diets, Marcus shook his head. "Oh, easy for you to say. You no longer have to worry about heart disease or diabetes anymore. Heh, I quit smokin' out of fear of cancer." Marcus then broke into a small chuckle as he sighed and shook his head once more, attempting to shake off the chuckles in him.
"Anyways, I'll give you my measurements if you give me yours." He said in a friendly tone, winking at her once more before finishing another glass of whiskey. The burn that followed that was numbing as he had been drinking for quite some time now. Yet, the effects of alcohol were starting to take a greater toll on him at his current drinking rate. "It'd be a fair trade. I wasn't there when you needed me and yeah...we both lived through it. Might as well purchase each others heartwarming gifts to make us feel better about nearly dying." From his face, a large grin played across his face as he held a playful mood about him.
"Yeah...guess it is gettin' pretty early. Heh, does that mean you're headin' off to hit the hay? Need some company?" Once more, the man winked and gave a wolfish smile before breaking into a small chuckle. Releasing a relaxing sigh and studying the raven haired woman for a brief moment, Marcus shook his head. "I'm kiddin'. But yeah, I need to head to bed nonetheless...heh, I gotta head to work in another..." Stopping to look at his wrist where his digital black watch was, his eyes widen and then he began to squint at the time. "Oh...hell. I gotta be at work in another five hours..."
Face palming and shaking his head, the man broke into a laugh before settling down to another sigh. "Blah...f*ck it."

Grinning as he brought up the good point that she no longer had to worry about health related issues, she gave him a soft shrug, breaking into a fit of laughter.
"Yea, well I guess it should be some consolation that I get to keep this body for the rest of eternity, knock on wood, but...well, I'm not sure there was a negative to that statement actually," she said, breaking into another laugh while he attempted to get himself together once more. Clearing her throat, attempting to gain control of herself as well. Alcohol consumption was clearly getting to her tonight, something that she was normally pretty good at keeping in control. Now, her head was swimming, as the saying went, and she knew that she was slurring her words ever so slightly.
"You know, technically, I was no closer to dying than when I woke up this evening...But, you know, we can discuss that when you aren't setting glass after glass of whiskey in front of me," she said with a laugh, knowing that if she were in her completely right state of mind, she would be against him buying her a new coat. According to her count, she owed him more than he owed her, but it wouldn't do either of them any good to start arguing about measurements and who was buying who a new coat. Giving him a playful shove as he joked about "hitting the hay," she downed the remains of the glass in front of her before turning to him, running her fingers back through her hair.
"And you accuse me of trying to seduce you," she said with a laugh, giving a nod as he said he had to get up for work in a few hours. It was admirable, seeing a hunter that still held a day life as well as a night life, though she wasn't sure how long that would be able to last in this city. It wasn't so much a matter of strength, but more a matter of time. Sometimes there were just not enough hours in the day, and exhaustion would certainly get to him once things really picked up in the city, more so than they were now. Reaching over and putting a drunken arm around him as he face palmed, her hand gliding over his back a few times.
"Aww...you'll make it through! You just need a good night's rest, so no more whiskey for you mister," she said, placing her hand over the top of his glass. Turning to him, she gave him one of her looks, though as serious as she tried to seem, a fanged grin broke across her lips. If he thought she would be escorting him to bed, he had another thing coming. But, she wouldn't be a very good friend if she kept him in the bar all night and let him go to work hung over the next day. Thankfully, she would get to sleep in slightly, and any hangover she had would have time to dissipate before the next night's hunt.

"Awwww, come on...one more glass won't make it any easier..." Taking a hold of the glass and slipping it away from her hand, the dark hair hunter chuckled a bit as his other hand took a hold of the bottle of whiskey and attempted to refill the empty glass. It was clear though the man was intoxicated for his initial attempt failed as he spilled some of the brown drink onto the counter before getting the rest of the content in the tumbler.
"One more and I'm done." Taking the glass in his hand and closing his eyes, the content of brown liquid vanished in one long gulp. "Ahhhhhhh..." The man uttered, expelling the fiery breath stemmed from the alcohol as he put the glass before him. "There. Done. Now I'm immune to your seduction and ready for work!" The man playfully mused as he gave a small dance on his stool.
Slipping out of the stool, stumbling a bit, Marcus looked over to Kerrigan with his crooked smile and wavering balance. "Anywho...no seducing and sleepovers tonight. I seriously need to hit the hay. Heh, tomorrow morning at work is gonna be a very interestin'...thing. I'll tell ya if I vomit or not during my benefit meeting when I get off work." With that, the man gave the vampiress a weak wave before working his way around the bar counter to the backdoor that lead to the Hunter compound. From there, Marcus would head straight to his room and his warm bed.

Sethe walked into Hunter's bar, a lot calmer than he had left the bar. As he walked in, he flicked his cigarette out onto the street, and turned back, looking inside. his shades were off, and his eyes held no glow right now. His hood was resting at his shoulders, and his right glove was off. He took his left glove off as he continued walking in, and walked up to the bar, for the moment not fully paying attention.
'Hunter, Bacardi on the rocks, please.' he requested. He pulled up his left sleeve, and looked at his PDA, then covered it back up, again.
'Right-o, mu boy.' Hunter replied. 'It's good ta see ya back, Sethe.' The old Hunter went over to the fridge unit, pulled out a bottle of Bacardi, and poured it into a ice-filled glass. The ice cubes cracked as the liquid changed their temperature. He passed the glass to him, and smiled. 'We all thought ya were gone from us, kiddo.'
Sethe shook his head in response. 'No, I was on a Hunt. AO kind of forced me to do it. I didn't have much of a choice. I'm made an agreement with the beings in the glaive, and it won't happen again, thank God.' He sighed, and took a sip from the glass. It was clear he didn't quite register anyone else in the room, though he knew Alethea was on his tail. 'Nobody really understand it, though. It kind of has me upset. Everyone thinks I left, and didn't want to tell anyone. Like I didn't want to come home. AO wouldn't let me tell anyone what was going on. The beings I was hunting were too dangerous to put anyone else in danger. They couldn't risk that. I don't blame them, they were powerful. I have more than a few scars from fighting them.'
'Well, yer back, an' that's what's important. I welcome ya home, buck-o.' Hunter said, leaning forward on the bar, a towel resting on his left shoulder. 'Good thing it won't happen 'gain, though.'
'I just wish Kerri would understand that. It feels like she thinks I just left without saying anything for no reason. I'm not even sure what she thinks about the whole thing. Apparently, she's mad, though. When I was finished with AO task, all I could think about was coming home, walking up to her, and holding her tightly, and not letting go. I just wanted to be with the woman I love.' He sipped his drink, and pulled out his cigarettes. 'But it would seem she got used to me not being here. Got used to thinking I was dead. I wanted to tell her, I wanted someone to know I wasn't gone forever.' He pulled a cigarette from the pack, put it in between his lips, and as he put the pack away, the cigarette lit itself.
'I'm sure she'll come around, mate.' Hunter said, looking over towards Kerrigan. 'I'm sure she'll come around.'
Sethe wasn't watching Hunter, so he didn't catch his hinting that she was there. He was completely oblivious at the moment, and not using his senses. He wanted to relax, and get some weight off of his chest. He'd just gotten an argument with his sister cleared up, had another near break down, and then calmed down talking with Eden about some of his issues. He just wanted to chillax, and was taking extreme efforts to do so. 'I hope so, Hunter. I love her more than anything, you know? On the way back, the only thing I could think about was finally marrying her. I'd been away from her touch for so long, I just wanted to put it all aside, and finally settle down.' He dragged his cigarette, and released the plumes.
'But it seems she doesn't anymore...' his voice saddened. He wasn't doing much to calm down. Now he was getting himself upset, again. He sighed, and dragged on his cigarette, again.

Laughing as Marcus took one last drink, slipping off his stool and stumbling off towards Haven, she gave him a pleasant wave as he disappeared through the trap door. Turning her attentions back to the bar, the clearly intoxicated huntress ran her fingers back through her hair, taking a deep breath before she heard someone else enter the bar. Turning, she saw the semi-blurry form of Sethe enter the bar, taking a seat at the other end of the bar as Hunter made a reappearance. She remained silent, head in her hands on the bar, though that was not to say she wasn't listening to the exchange between the old man and the Omega. Despite her senses fading in and out, she caught the gist of what was said, dulled green eyes turning to his sunken form on the bar stool as Hunter turned and gave her a look.
Slipping off the bar stool, the huntress faltered slightly in her heels, reaching out and grabbing ahold of the bar counter to keep herself on her feet. She seemed to forget that she was only in her white cami, dried blood surrounding a hole in the fabric on her abdomen. Every step was determined, though she knew she was stumbling ever so slightly as she made her way towards him. It had been years since she remembered being this drunk, and chances were she wouldn't remember anything in the morning, past the diner at the least. Moving over to him, she stopped at the stool next to him, putting one hand on it to keep from falling, her words slurring slightly as she looked at him.
"You think it was easy? That I just got over everything, and moved on? Do you know how many months I spent in a therapist's office while I was in Boston? I had to leave here because everything, literally everything, reminded me of you. I cried myself to sleep every night for a month when you left, and it only stopped then because I was out of tears. I'm sorry you had to leave, and I understand your duties as the Omega, but you have no idea what I went through when you were gone. A girl can only take so much heartbreak before she has to keep going, and so that's what I did," she said, swaying once in a while in her own shoes as she spoke. As much as she felt sorry for him, at least now that her emotions were so unhindered and she understood the whole story, it seemed she was still resolved to not dip back into her past. Even in her inebriated state, she knew that to go back to him would mean a relapse into everything she left behind in that old life.
"I worked so much on myself, and was finally ready to start the hunters again, ready to live this new life I had forged for myself and then you come back and..." Her voice trailed off, eyes fluttering as one hand went to her head. She was too dizzy...standing was not a good idea. Her knees started to give out from underneath her, though the huntress' reflexes kicked in, grabbing the bar stool before she was down all the way.

'Kerri!' Sethe jumped reflexively, putting his hand on her back, and using his powers to help her catch herself. He helped her onto the stool, and sat next to her. He felt stupid. He hadn't even noticed she was there. 'Oh god, Kerri...' he sighed, and sucked on his cigarette. 'I wish I could have told you what was happening. I wish so much that I could have... I'm so sorry, darling...'
He sighed again, and held his cigarette out to the side. 'Can't you understand, I tried... I couldn't do anything but Hunt. AO forced it. You don't realize how much I wanted to be here, with you. When I was done, all I could think about was you. About finishing what I started with you...' He sighed, and shook his head, following with another drag.
'All I could think about was "I do."' He looked her over again, and sighed, again. She wreaked of alcohol. His senses were nearly overwhelmed by the smell. 'You're drunk... this really isn't the best time to talk about this...'

Tilting her head to the side slightly at Sethe's surprise, feeling him help her stand with his powers and position her onto a stool. She looked at him as he apologized once more, her green eyes scanning over him as she let out a sigh once more. There was no question that he was sorry - she knew he was really sorry from the moment he came back into her life. Sighing as he continued to apologize and explain himself, eventually she reached out, placing a drunken hand on his shoulder.
"Look, enough with the apologizing already. I get it, ok?" giving him a fanged grin, she chuckled as he said she was drunk, attempting to push the conversation off to a different time. Part of what he said was absolutely true, she was wasted. And while they really should defer the conversation to a more appropriate time, Kerrigan wasn't sure she would ever be able to say everything on her mind in any other state.
"I do forgive you for leaving. But you have to understand how much of my life you're upturning just by showing up again. I need....time," she said simply, pushing herself off the barstool once more and running her fingers through her hair again. She managed to balance, hand going to her head as she took a deep breath. Putting her hand on his shoulder once more, she gave him another smile, hoping he would understand. Maybe they should try the whole friends thing for awhile, reconnect. That was something she would have to ponder when the majority of her mental capacity wasn't preoccupied with standing.
"Ok, I need to get to bed while I can still move," she said with a drunken giggle, waving her hand slightly before turning to make her ay down into Haven. How much of this she was going to remember tomorrow night remained to be seen.

Sethe sighed at her as she explained that his resurfacing was hurting her. Why would his coming back be such a problem? Sethe was terribly upset and confused beyond anything. Right now, though, he wasn't going to bring it up, or continue the conversation, as Kerrigan was drunk as hell, and she really needed to get to bed. 'Do you want me to help you down to ou-' he stopped, bit his lip, shook his head, and quickly rebounded, '-your room?' He offered out his hand, and started making movement towards the trap door to Haven.

Kerrigan paused mid step, faltering slightly in her heels though it wasn't enough for her to completely lose her balance. Looking at the hand offered to her, she followed the trail of the wrist to the arm, up to the shoulders and then his face. Part of her wanted to say yes, just for old time's sake, while the other part of her was warning against letting him in again. However, knowing how difficult it would be to navigate the ladders and hallways with continuously shifting balance, she nodded, taking his hand and allowing him to help her into Haven. The last thing she needed to explain to everyone was why she fell through the trap door instead of taking the ladder...
"If you want the room, I'll move to a different one. We can make the arrangements with Edith," she said simply, not looking at him for fear that her expression might be seen. For the first time, there was actual pain in her eyes as she spoke, something she wouldn't want him to see. She could keep it out of her voice, not necessarily out of her expression in this state.

Sethe could see something in her eyes while she scanned up his arm to his face, slowly. He felt her wanting, but deciding against it. It brought a pain to his chest, but he concealed it. He walked her to the trap door, silently, and opened the door. He wreathed her in his telekinetic abilities, and lowered her through the trap door into Haven.

Alethea had deliberately given him the time he needed. She knew from her own conscious that Kerri was already at the bar - she chose that place on purpose. Spending time outside on a bench, in the chilly winds, she noticed how the wind picked up & howled tonight. The moon had been very lonely - for a long time, it missed the stars that kept such a distance away from the beautiful moon, almost seductive.
As the time passed, her thoughts and memories had become quite entangled with emotions for the few minutes that they both needed to confront their issues. When the time came to an end, Aly stood accordingly & entered as Sethe was helping her off the floor, she smiled sincerely for them - her heart jumped at the love that was expressed in their evident eyes. Finding her way toward the bar again, she slipped onto the bar stool with ease & motioned to the tender.
Hunter nods in compliance to it & spins around finding the jack daniel's, coca-cola & a tall glass of ice. After the mixture, he politely handed it to her, knowing she didn't have the skill of catching the sliding glass on the bar and he chuckled, "You seem awfully introverted & quiet tonight on this full moon..." .
With that, Aly nods in agreement to him, "Haha, yea..." winking from reflex to play off her serious mood, "It's just great to see the kind of love these two have....it's quite more intense than I'm able to feel right now. It'd be nice to have someone that close.." her vocal chords tightening with a bit of sadness at the thought & then immediately takes a strong swig of the drink. Hunter definitely knew how to make it just right for her.
As the night flickered through the hours, her mind wandered in & out of reality, pondering when her time would come for love & passion like that. She couldn't really estimate how much longer she would be able to stand this loneliness her parents left her to, much longer.

Kerrigan walked up into Hunters, giving the old man a smile as she headed straight towards the door. Her attention shifted to the redheaded lycan momentarily before giving her a simple, small wave and continuing on her way. As much as she wanted to know the new girl, she needed some time to herself - some time to think. What better place to do that, than a hunt? Pulling her phone from a pouch on her belt as she disappeared into the streets of the city. Opening her text messages, her green eyes read over one in particular as she walked:
'Kerri - Small group of vampires managed to escape last raid. I think heading in your direction. Extremely dangerous. Probably find them preying in a public place - they like to raise a scene. I know you can take care of them. I would have followed them, but Aubrey was injured. Probably won't make it through the night. -Dee'
Reading the note over once more, the huntress sighed, replacing it in her pocket before turning and heading towards the more populated parts of the city. If what Dee said was true, she had quite a fight in for her.
