I named my flute Gemma... oh, years ago. Because the brand is Gemeinhardt. I know I didn't spell that right. >.> Anyway, after I did that my stand buddy (I've had the same one since grade six!) named hers Emma.
...hey, it was, like, 7th grade or something. But we still sometimes use the names.

My bassoon is named Gary, and I named each of his sections a different name: Itachi, Haku, Sasuke, Deidara, Hidan, Sasori, and Gaara!!!!!!!!!! My friend's bassoon is named Pierre, too.

XD Well...in orchestra, my violin's named Eurydice, my electric violin's named Elektra, and my bass drum (#4) is named Big Ben. XD

My old sousaphone before we got new ones had the word 'tank' scratched into the large neck piece, so I named it Tank. But the same asian from my inside joke thing named my new one. She asked me if it had a name, and when I said it didn't, she said it looked like a Henry.
So, my new sousaphone's name is Henry. :3

Well, my favorite instrument is our xylophone. It only turns on to wheels so I'm the only one that volunteers to roll it down the big hill. I grew attached to it and named her Kellie, since I had liked a girl named Kellie at the time.

Okay, this is a funny story.
My two friends and I were in Band, and one said I should name my French Horn.
So, I told them they could if they wanted.
So what's the first name they come up with?
Frenchy Horny.
That didn't sit well with me (or the teacher...) so we named it Felix Helio.
It's very...original?

I named my oboe Herman, and then during marching season, me and the other girl in pit went around naming all of the instruments we used.

bells-phillis
gong-dawn
chimes-father lonigan
wind chimes- flow
and we used to bd's electric metrenome so much we named it marty. smile

My trombone has many names. C:
The case is named Casey, the Mouthpiece is Buzz, the Slide is Slick, and the Bell is Belle. Together, I call my trombone Tromby, or King.
And my stand, Stan. xD
So original. Lol

My violin is named William (or Willie for short) after John Williams. My bow is Zim, for Hans Zimmer. I haven't named the marimba or other pit drums yet. But I think I'll name the tenor drums I played a few days ago Backbreak. Those things are HEAVY.
