Wishes~
Saya laid back on her bed. It was her birthday, the a date when her family had adopted her because they confessed that didn't know her real birthday. She wasn't bothered at all though because that was the date she considered real. She had thought it would be a quiet day, as she curled up, reading a novel. But it wasn't, as her father burst into the room with a large strawberry shortcake. Following her father was her mother and her host brother. They burst in with arms raised, singing. They even did a hilarious dance thay had found online, referring to it as the rick roll dance.
Saya could remember that she was laughing so hard, tears welled up in her eyes. She wiped them away shakily, before being dragged by out by her family. They insisted she make a wish, even though Saya tried to protest that she was too old for that.
She wished that life could always be solved by a piece of cake and family.
She genuinely wished that during those times. What a pleasant and lovely wish it would be, if it came true. The memory seemed to fade into the distance, as Saya 's hand slowly lifted from the lake water. How nostalgic..
.. and impossible.

She was collecting them. In her book, there were pressed flowers and the collection was growing by the day. Nobody knew it yet but she had snuck into her old parent's home, even though she knew that if she was caught, she would practically be kicked out of Deus. But this flower was here. It was the flower, from her old flower garden.. in her very book. Looking at it reminded her of older days..
Her days used to go by with purpose. They still had purpose, just a very different dangerous kind. But she had painted with watercolors.. She learned how to dance (although she was shy about it) .. Saya had done all the hobbies she had wanted to do. At the end of the day, she used to look up at the stars.
Snippets floated here and there. She loved her mom's apple pie. Actually, Saya loved all sweets so there was little point in saying she loved one thing.
The lake left her wishing she could eat it one more time.

Sap had heard that the Tugley Wood zone was going to close today. That was sad! She was so sad to be leaving the forest, but she supposed she would. Ah well. This time, she returned to the lake willingly. Maybe, if she went of her own will, it wouldn't be so bad... 3 OF SPADES My character's username: Maple_Syrup My character's level: 12 Character's HP: 30 Character's Job Class: Cheshire Cat Current party: NA Current Guild: NA Location: Where applicable, if you are in another zone. Small IC description of character:Maple Syrup is a puppet woman with very woody, brown skin and orange fall leaves everywhere, especially her hair, which appears to just stay in that hairstyle and be completely made of twigs and leaves. Her eyes and mouth have a yellowish glow to them, but seem very friendly, like a jack-o-lantern. She wears the Cheshire cat cloak, semithere tail, and the semithere scarf in the traditional blue-theme, but has foregone the ears for an aura of shadowy magic that seems to cling to her and shift. She also has glowing, long, cyan claws - her weapon as a Cat. Both the claws and the aura are not visible/barely visible out of battle, but become apparent during battle - the claws are very long and sharp, and the aura becomes a miasmic and disturbing cloud... are those eyes? No, of course not. Aside from being cool and magical, this has no effect on her stats. Its just cool. Character journal: Link

ConfusionSap didn't know where she was at first. She knew she was surrounded by pumpkins, and the remains of one lay around her, glittering in the cool light of the pumpkin sun. She knew she was in Halloween still, and also, that she could look around. She could think. She could feel. She waved her gnarled yet delicately woody fingers in front of her eyes. She could see. She shouted for joy. She could hear. She stood up a little unsteadily. She could move. But how? What? Why? Why was she suddenly so able? She had been a tree only moments before...

Empty[DING. YOU ARE AT 10 HP] dinged her card as Sap faced the wall of teeth and death. She ran. She ran and ran and ran. Was this a memory from the game itself? She didn't want to remember this! Why couldn't it be from something fun? Like a dungeon raid or playing with her red faction friends? The memory went on. She hid, waiting for her stamina to return, ignoring the voices that pleaded and implored her to look back, look back, look back... One of those voices was HIS voice, the graduate, her first friend, her best friend, her crush. That was why she hadn't listened. He wouldn't have promised hr power. She ran and ran, but it was not enough. She tripped. She fell, and the Jabberwock's teeth closed around her. [DING! YOU ARE AT 0 HP] The memory faded to black. [RESPAWNING IN 3... 2... 1... DING!]

EndingsFlames licked at her branches, her roots, her skin, and Acerium - for that was her name - could not get away, though she wriggled. Her own roots held her fast as the flame threatened to consume her. Hazing... was bad. It had been bad for all parties this time. The older students had taken a dragon into the woods for his test of courage or whatever they called it. They had started beating on him right at her roots, but he had fought back with a breath of flame. Flame in a forest is a bonfire of living trees. Sap could hear the screams of other trees that were burning, even over her own. She could hear help arriving, with soothing water, but she knew they were too late for her. Still, she screamed desperately at the unfairness of it all. She was alive, she was a person, she was intelligent, and yet she was trapped by her skin and leaves and bark, unable to act against the fire that devoured her. She struggled anyway, to no avail. It was her end. When she dissipated, she was a charred stump. The forest fire was out, the other trees were safe, and saplings were free to grow in the space that was left. Her - and other trees - ends were their beginning, as in the human world, so in Halloween. It was a beginning for her, too...

He had noticed it for a while now. The Wishling that he had called his own for many moons was acting stranger and stranger. It was no longer willing to visit the other Wishlings with him, opting to go on his own. Was it because he was getting busy with classes? He did try his best to spend as much time as he could at the room; reading, working, writing, working out, and just relaxing. But he noticed it for a while now. It wasn't too long later that he said good-bye to his Wishling as it disappeared with the other Wishlings into the closet. [[ Ending ]]

"Brother, are you okay?" "Yeah." The siblings sat alone in the courtyard, the servants busy with their duties. The two rested by the large, gnarled tree that their mother refused to have removed. "You've been sad for a while, is it because Dad went to his pack?" "No." Brenna didn't know. She didn't need to know. Whatever lie their mother told her was something he would have to stand behind... It wasn't necessary for his young sister to face the truth that their father was banished. She did not need to know that it was all done with the assistance of their uncle who had wanted their mother, the power of the pack, and everything that came with it. She did not to know that their mother used their uncle. She did not need to know the pain he was going through. Uru's brows knitted together as he let out a sigh. "I just haven't been feeling well..." [[ Ending ]] [[ Hiding ]]

Right upper. The demon stepped back, his chin tucked and his hands up, guarding. Beads of sweat sliding down his forehead, his hair slick and wet, eyes trained and focused on the wall ahead of him. The bag was currently being used and so shadow was his other option. Sure, there were probably other students coming in and out that could challenge, but he wasn't willing to hurt anyone. Strike. Cross. Left hook. Right upper.Strike. Cross. Left hook. Right upper.Strike. Cross. Left hook. Right upper.Strike. Cross. Left hook. Right upper.Uru stepped back, his shoulders slacking, his arms falling to his side, and his head raised as he glared at the wall. Reaching to the bench to retrieve his towel, he let out a breath as he wiped himself of excess sweat. It was still a strange feeling that the scarf around his neck wasn't with him, but it was a feeling he was growing accustomed to when he went to the gym. With a chug of water, he pulled himself into proper position. While he preferred a structured posture for fighting, when it came to it and let his wolf free, he became much more wild and fierce... Quote: 1: Kindness - Repeat Doing Despair Everyone would feel hopeless at times in their life. Useless. Without a purpose. Or just destitute. It wasn't common, but that point where one believed they had found the absolute bottom of the world. That it couldn't get any worse. It was a rare feeling for Frostpaw, one he didn't call foreign, but exotic. Yet it was times like waking to find there were many gaps in his memories that he felt it.
He had a lock. He'd heard very basic instructions that he could get back what he'd lost. But not how. There was nothing clear or truly helpful about it. So here he was, stuck as could be... and not even knowing what was missing. That there, was enough to despair over. Because what if he'd forgotten something truly important?

Quote: 17. Empty - Repeat doing Nostalgia Looking back on it, it felt like it had been forever since those days when he'd go out to play with his brother. Since he'd easily been able to casually wander through the outdoors with just the concern of 'Keep an eye on him.' Those were days when he didn't have to worry about things like image or impact his actions had. It was just some fun as a child out with family.
A nice memory if nothing else. But at this point it was long gone. Dreaming about the past wasn't going to accomplish anything. Even if he missed it a bit.

Quote: 13. Fear - Repeat doing Rewarding Now, Frostpaw liked to think that he did things purely for the sake that doing those things. Accomplishing those goals. They were all worth seeing the results of for an overall good. That he didn't need to get something out of it. That it was for the common good.
He really, really did.
But the fact remained. There was some sweet personal satisfaction when his success was noted by someone else. When there was someone pointing out just how well he'd done. Because deep down, he was still quite the prideful demon. And he liked recognition perhaps a bit more than usual. Just a bit.OOC My character's username: Frostpaw My character's level: 21 Character's HP: 30/30 Character's Job Class: Cheshire Current party: None Currently Current Guild: Raiders of the Ark Location: Tulgey Woods Small IC description of character: (See image on the left) 5'7" male, a tad on the femenine side with appearances.
