Solia really didn't take well on being touched by a spider. Angel division or not- she was not into weird hentai s**t thank you spider could die and she wouldn't eat them even if they were in dark chocolate that would be gross and spider legs were already in her chocolate she didn't need to remember that fact now she hated her life thanks internet.
Caelius also hated her but she was sure he was just looking out for her best interests with that violent toss.
It was the toss of a sempai.
Who noticed her.

That was probably the most pathetic little love tap Maebe could have managed, but it was still really dark.. and she was still reeling from being yelled at. Twice. At least somebody felt like encouragement was.. Pocky? What.Quote: Rolling a 6. The Sun lead shouts encouraging words, something about nakama and kokoros and Pocky and heart of the cards, moving with you to deliver a blast. It's super effective! Your attack does double damage

Kostya looked at Mimsy, and just...stepped behind her, so that their backs were almost touching.
I've got your back, the stance said. Always.
Nothing Yet deeply pathetic shortpost

It was hard to look the division leader in the eye when he just kept telling her about her nakama. She felt dwarfed by his presence, his exuberance leading her to keep a side glance on him even as she stabbed the monster with Thaw. When she heard her weapon hiss triumphantly, she turned back - just in time to see what she'd done. Or rather, what they'd done. "Uhh.." She whispered hoarsely. "I don't know what nakama is.. but whatever it is.. I'd like to sign up to your newsletter." She gave full credit where credit was due. Quote: Maebe HP: 20/40 Damage: 2 (Allan buff) Boss HP: 0

Then he was faced with Caelius instead. The next thing he knew he pretty much went sprawling. Truly Jude's love for the Division leader grew twelve times that day.
That is if you mistake loathing for love, anyways.

Smith was late to the fight, but he still managed to summon up the courage to call upon Raiquen to begin the assault against the Captain, but first, he had a few waves of spiders to get through. Raiquen was thoroughly disgusted and Smith really wished he had stayed home sick for this mission.

There were countless insects and many, many hunters between Kostya and the largest of the spiders, so when Mimsy heard her name from another familiar, accent-laden voice, she considered the probability of a negative outcome was small enough for her to safely address the other Life trainee. "Lucky." She greeted him with a nod and a half-smile, glancing down at his suit. "My condolences for the loss of your formal attire." Someone else was speaking to her - someone unfamiliar. She curiously tilted her head just slightly, and blinked once at him. "Hello." A tentative pause. "I do not recall speaking with you before. Did you wake with the other recent trainees?" She felt something against her back, and she stiffened uncomfortably, until a glance over her shoulder indicated that briefly distracting herself from watching Kostya was not quite as risk-free as she'd thought. Worrisome, but he was safe. She gave him a crooked little smile.

It was official: Smith and Raiquen hated these awful spider creatures. Though Smith had hoped for more practice before using his new crossbow, the good news was that the two of them meshed well and he was actually hitting something. The bad news was that something was hitting him too.

Crack.
The ceiling was crumbling, even before the boss finally began to dissolve. Everything paused for a moment, at a standstill. The spiders dissolved first, followed by the crew down to even the seemingly human passengers of the ship, just simply fading into thick black dust that escaped through the hole in the ceiling.
More cracks, the floor was sinking. There was a strange darkness seeping into the ground, it was flooding as the ship unraveled itself. Chandeliers disappeared, broken tables, ceilings and fancy lights. If there was one saving grace however, it was the food, the clothing, the items that floated in the water. Those had been real, those had been gained to lure humans on board as it had for hundreds of years, always by a different name. Fear evolved after all, even a nameless Fear, even one eventually broken, consumed by Insanity-
- Hiding a terrible secret.
The Captain, just a mass of grey and spindly legs, still moving, still twitching, slowly rotated its eyes to stare accusingly at the Hunters. Thick, black Fear escaped from his mass, blood-like, pouring out of the main abdomen, skin peeling apart, then skeletal ribs, to finally reveal-
- A heart. Of course.
It pulsated a deep red.
"If you remove it," the Captain rasped, limbs still twitching, "If you remove this memory, everything will here disappear. The legacy of this ship, the legacy of the-"
- Simply put, the Death lead was closer. One second the core was oddly pulsating, the next it was gone and empty. The hollow carcass of a body simply fell apart into pieces.
And so did the rest of the ship.
More cracks formed, and for a second, the Hunters could see the evening sky that peeled out from where the ceiling had been. Everything else unspun faster, unwinding, walls, props, lights, even the odd spider pieces until-
- The water rushed upwards, unforgiving. Cold, harsh salt water that slammed into them. At the same time, winds, terrible and torrential, a hurricane already in motion throughout this Fear-saturated mess. The waves swept upwards and then crashed down with terrible force, able to crush bone, able to devour lesser humans as the air continued to howl, as salt water collided with vision, collided with darkness, dark water upon darker winds, the sky obscured by the twenty, thirty foot waves. There was barely time to breathe, to take in a breath, to shout or simply plead before another wave would drown them again, pushing them deeper, down into the abyss. The ocean was unforgiving, even to Hunters.
There was a flash of light, white, brilliant, and melting into blue, only for a glimpse of a second before another wave pushed the Hunters down. A portal. A portal had been set up, twenty, thirty yards away, like a demented life raft drifting sideways. It felt impossibly far to get to and was their last hope. OOC WELCOME TO THE MIDDLE OF THE @#$# OCEAN- In the event your character cannot swim, they will need to cling onto someone who can. - With your remaining endurance (HP), you will need to swim to the safety of the portal. Once you get to the portal your character can either hang around to help and salvage others not in yet or escape to safety first! - If your character's HP hits 0, they start sinking. They will need to be saved. The best way to prompt they need help is oddly, to summon their weapons, which glow in the dark and will signify others that players need to be rescued. - If your character is not rescued, they WILL BE ABANDONED HERE. A not rescued character is any character who is sinking. - If your character is sinking post SINKING in ooc in bold red so someone can rescue them - Roll 1d6 as you try to swim to the safety of the portal. You will need to survive three waves. The damage you take is the 1d6 you roll x3 obviously for three waves. You cannot use any effects or heals or anything, and your HP is CARRIED OVER from the boss fight. - If you are carrying someone, roll 2d6, one for yourself, one for them. Only you take the damage from both, for three waves. - If someone is SINKING and needs to be saved and you are already at the exit, you will need to swim back, and then roll 3 rounds of 2d6 to save them REGARDLESS of what wave they are in. Good luck!
