After hearing Samantha's reply, Anansi could see why she didn't have a partner as well. In an ironic way, the two were opposite yet eerily similar in some ways. "I don't believe it was a fluke. If you've been to class, you would know that it is extremely rare for two strangers to be able to resonate like that." he told her before smiling. "Face it, you and I are compatible with one another. Though Anansi failed to realize that he shouldn't be sleeping in class, but that can be handled another time. As he heard Sam's remark, Anansi actually looked like he was serious. His smile was gone and his brows were furrowed, "Good." he muttered as suddenly chains would materialize all around Anansi, each one had sharp edges. As Samantha managed to evade his chains and release one of her own, Anansi stood there. Once her chain come close enough to him, Anansi would easily evade it by simply stepping aside. "My problem? Well, lets just say, if I am going to be partnered up. My partner has to be able to keep up with me. I refuse to let anyone weaker than me, command me and use me in battle." Anansi told her before running towards Samantha. "So, you will need to defeat me." he added before unleashing two more chains at her, aiming to impale her arms.

am knew her chains were not the fastest attack but she was hoping to throw him off but seeing it failed. she pulled it back towards her. he then began to charge at her as he ran he sent two chains at her, she pulled the shadow like chain even closer she managed to use the chains to block his chains from impaling her arm, it was a quick reaction of course, on the other hand the other chain went through her right arm, yet she gave no sign of pain rather the arm h pierced reached up and grabbed the chain so it wouldn't get away. the chains on her arm disappeared as she pointed her palm at him, firing a soul attack at him it took the form of a bird and it was rather quick. if it would make contact it would go through him and all pain would be from inside his body "then maybe ask the person to fight and not just send a surprise attack"

Anansi watched as his chains flew at Samantha, when it appeared as though one of them actually made contact and pierced her arm, he gave a somewhat shocked and regretful look. While it was true that he wanted to test her strength, he really didn't plan on injuring her. "Did I take it too far?" he thought to himself. However, as his chain embedded itself in the girl's arm, Anansi felt something off about it. It didn't feel like there was anything there. No skin, no bone, not even an tiny speck of blood could be seen. This caught Anansi's eyes and as a result he would be hit with the strange soul attack of Samantha's. The bird-like object would enter his body and emerge from his back. As soon as it left, Anansi would experience an tremendous amount of pain coming from within him. However, it was not enough to hinder him. With his chain still in Samantha's grip, Anansi would wave his hand, causing the chain to vanish. "That was quite an attack." Anansi commented. "But what intrigues me the most, is that bandaged arm of yours. Care to enlighten me about it?"

"Just bandages?" he repeated. Soon after he said this, Anansi would laugh, "You really are an interesting woman." he stated before lowering his guard. "You know what? I think we should end this here. I mean, I've gotten a glimpse of what you can do and I can tell that there is something special about you as well. Needless to say, I think teaming with you would be fun." Truthfully, what really mattered to Anansi was whether or not he could actually picture himself having fun and enjoying being partnered. There was no point in joining together with someone that doesn't have fun once and awhile and remarkably, he can see that despite her stern attitude, Samantha was someone who could possibly fit his ideal partner. The one thing she can touch with this are Souls, but she can not harm them in any way, she can reach into someones body and force soul energy inside of them granting them more energy or even power if needed, this one move tires her out since she uses her energy, so her arm ability disappears after this unable to use another arm for a while(end of fight)(magically re wraps itself after fight, or to injured to keep it out) Soul Charge Sam is able to force out her Soul in a burst creating what looks like lightning from her body. she is able to harness it into parts of her body to enhance damage given by the part of body when attacking. without implementing to her legs the Charge already gives her boost of speed, jumping, and agility, but the effects are gone when she focuses it to attack but it returns after the attack. Black Rose Dance LVL 1 Black Rose Dance makes Sam able to turn into what looks like Black Petals for a breif moment to a long time. this is used to dodge attacks and travel far distances or go through places one would normally never fit. she can not attack while in this form, rather she is harmless in this form, but be warned this can easily lead to her forming back up and attacking. the way this works is that her body turns black and falls apart quickly into petals to which begin to fly as if there is wind around blowing them. Soul Chain LVL 1 Soul Chain Lvl 1 she can summon a chain that looks like a shadow based form, the chain forms around either arm(not cursed arm when active) it wraps around the arm so that the chain remains connected. the chain she can send out attempting to grab an opponent or even strike them with the chain, but the real purpose is to grab things, if she grabs an object she can throw the object using the chain at a target.
