xxxxKaris' misty aquamarine eyes tracked the white-haired boy's seamless, practiced motion as he fell from the ceiling, his body twisting in the air so he could land properly on his feet. In the second of silence that had fallen, another boy entered the classroom and stood in the doorway, invading Karis' personal space and mimicking her posture. Her azure eyes narrowed and darkened, directing a fierce glare strong enough to raise the hair on a person's head at the boy, her snappish attitude taking over quickly, a side that Tares would surely recognize. Her lips pursed as she glared at the boy, ready to bite his metaphorical head off, when something LT said caught her attention. Her sapphire eyes snapped back to his face. If she hadn't seen his lips moving, she wouldn't have believed that he had spoken the words. She raised her eyebrows, slightly amused, but not much else as she spoke to LT, never taking her eyes from the boy that Tares had referred to as his relative.

The words exploded from Karis before she was able to stop them, a crease appearing between her eyebrows as she stared at the Hatake boy who could hardly be older than she, if he was even her age to begin with. She highly doubted it. Her certainly didn't look older than she was, but then again, Karis also did not look to be eighteen. Shrugging off the thought and knowing that age wasn't a factor when it came to skill, she inclined her head respectfully to the boy and held out her hand. "Karis Tengokou. Most call me Kay, Karis, or Sayuri. The last one's a long, boring story, and I don't like being called Sayuri, so I'd rather not be called that. I would be honored to recieve training from you, senpai. This is Clymene, which means 'famous might.'" Her words were spoken quickly in her usual soft voice as she unbuckled the strap that ran diagonally across her torso, keeping her enormous blade on her back. Clymene measured sixty-five inches in length, including the hilt, and seven inches in width. "I've already done the first stage of speed training, but that's about it."

Mizu Peretto (Water Pellet)
Description: An enhanced Uo Tsuba, instead of a stream, it is a bullet that impacts the enemy at high speed (though with blunt force,) and it is roughly about the size of a fist.

Mizutamari no Jutsu (Water Puddle Technique)
Description: By altering personal body shape, the user can melt into a puddle of water on the ground. This allows the user to hide and set up an ambush, or lose inexperienced trackers.

Suiton: Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu (Water Release: Water Shuriken Technique)
Description: Through the use of water manipulation, the user can create multiple small shuriken comprised of water and launch them towards the target. After hitting and/or cutting a solid surface, they revert to water. It is important to note that these shuriken can be physically launched (by hand) or launched as they are created.

Isonagi no Jutsu (Beach Crab)
Description: A jutsu that can only be used on water or atop loose soil (sand, non-rocky aerated dirt, etc,) this technique causes a pair of pincers to rise out of the ground/water and grasp the target by the ankles before pulling him underground/water. An important difference between this technique and Doton: Shinjuu Zanshu is that in this technique the target is fully enveloped in the earth or water. If strong enough, the target can break free, due to the loose earth. Water is less efficient because of its fluidity, and the target not held long. There is something to be said, though, for the change in momentum that can occur when you force an opponent to abandon all thoughts save survival.

Mizu Tate no Jutsu (Water Shield Technique)
Description: A shield of water is formed around the user as a cylindrical barrier that reaches just above the user's head. After the initial creation that user can manipulate the water, allowing for water spikes, tentacles, hands and the like, though these appendages are not dexterous enough to handle a weapon. The bad thing is that the shield isn't that reliable against ninjutsu. However, an opponent who is strong enough can break through the shield.

masaki looked the list up and down, reading the jutsu as they were written. there were a few useful offensive ones, but it would be useful to have a defensive jutsu as well. He decided he would start with an offensive, then a defensive. Mizu shuriken to start with, then Mizumatamari. that would make a grand total of three genin level ninjutsu, which were a little more useful than most of the academy jutsu. He had barely reached that decision when he noticed a perfect example of a mizu shuriken flying his way. Without thinking, he quickly broke the jutsu holding him to the ceiling and crashed ontop of an otherwise perfectly good desk. "ow...." he muttered as he pulled himself back to his feet. "I'll remember that one." he muttered to himself as he rubbed his back. The poor desk wasn't strong enough.

He didn't have time to spare however, he wanted to learn as much as he could today and he wouldnt do that nursing a sore back. He went through the seals for his first jutsu several times to get a feel for the flow and then focused on his water chakra. Once again he felt the now familiar pleasant water chakra flow within him as he guided it towards a puddle of remaining water and begin to mold it. It suddenly occurred to him at that time that he would be forcing water to take shape, rather than merely guiding it to do something. this one wasn't going to be as easy as the other water jutsu. He began by guiding it into the basic shape of a shuriken, but this shuriken wouldn't do more than spash a target. Next came the hard part.

After getting the basic shape of the shuriken, Masaki began to push at it, hopefully forcing the shuriken to become just solid enough to perform it's job. It could rest after it did it's job. With great effort, the shuriken shrank into a slightly less liquid shape. It looked almost solid. almost wasn't good enough though, Masaki continued trying to force it into shape, until it eventually popped in a nice little splash.

"too much..." he muttered as he rubbed his chin in thought. All that he could think of was to merely keep it as it had been before, perhaps it wasn't as weak as he had previously thought? Once more he gathered the water together into a shuriken-like shape, and once more he began forcing it to take it's form. It took a bit of concentration still, water didn't like being told what to do and was strongly opposing the attempt. Just before the point where he had broken it before, he stopped focusing on it and reached down to pick it up. The shuriken was probably the most contradictory item Masaki had ever held. It was wet, and unmistakeably liquid, but it held it's form even when squeezed. Perhaps that's what hapenned, he condensed it to the point where the water couldn't be pulled any tighter. He threw it at the wall, and watched it land with a loud thunk-splash. The wet wall, now sported a rather fetching hole, almost what could be expected from a real shuriken.

Water from the teacher using the genin level water pellet flew across the room and pelleted Sparraw with intense accuracy, it was a good hit and she was kind of thankful due to the fact that it caused her to tumble from her spot on the ceiling. In turn it helped her dodge the water shuriken that was shot out from the teacher. When the Mizukage entered, Sparrow immediately bowed at the respectful man, funny that the Mizukage-sama was several years younger than the LT sensei. But when a young boy protruded out form behind the man, and introduced himself she bowed and waved back at him. He looked rather cute with his teddy bear and blue hair. "Oh, Konichiwa Kenji-kun! I like your bear! What's his name?" She wish she could have payed more attention, but she had to get back to her studies, though it was always fun to meet new people. "Mizutamari no jutsu!" Sparrow said out loud as she finished the signs and let her chakra flow about him. 1/3 At first her legs felt wobbly, but she didn't move an inch or change in her position. She felt flustered so she slowed down and went through the signs again reading and feeling each one. She walked around in a circle in the water logged classroom trying to get a feel for the water along her legs and beneath her feet. She decided to try once again just to get a feel for the way she was converting her chakra and the water together. She tried to move her chakra through out her body starting with her legs, as if she was already made of water or like the water was apart of her, or more like a blanket she was covering herself with. 2/3 She growled in frustation as nothing happened so once again she tried it. Her signs, hands, and fingers worked through the handsigns flawlessly and when she called out "Mizutamari no jutsu!", she instead began to sink into the water on the floor of the classroom. She stayed there for a few seconds before releasing the jutsu and slowly crawling out of the water that she was just a few seconds ago. "Wow! That was intense!" 3/3

Downer was shaking the water from his clothing when the Mizukage walked in. He gave a small bow of respect before listening to LT's words. guess its time for me to hit the hay. I'm beat. he thought as he rung the water from his sleeve. wait a sec, I'm a ninja, I shouldn't have to do this. He thought as he was starting for his other sleeve. He bowed again to LT. "Thank you for the lessons" he said as he did so. He closed his eyes and focused on the water in his clothing. "Mizu Soujuu", he muttered almost soundlessly. He poured chakra into the water of his clothing, essentially boiling it by turning it into steam. He grimaced a little as the hot steam rose from the folds of his clothes. He began to walk out as the last of the steam left him and took a breath of relief when he was out of earshot. He then took off in a run and jumped up towards a tree, disappearing from sight as his speed picked up.
