Tatsu nodded and went through the hand seals he had seen her use earlier. slowly he began to sink into the ground. He kept a hold of himself as not to lose concentration to panic or amazement. soon he was up to his neck in the earth and he brought himself to a stop. looking at what he had done he was satisfied and thought his teacher would be be pleased. looking up to her he asked "is this good ma'am?" he did not want to use the words good enough as this meant it was only good enough to pass. Tatsu wanted more then to just pass.

Dragging himself out of the ground he nodded and said yes ma'am. he knew to the ground and tried to focus himself again. he closed his eye and quieted himself. he blocked out the sense of hearing and the noise of the room fell away. as he put his hand to the floor he let the rest of his senses die. soon all he felt was the earth under his palm. not long after he could not even feel that. all he could feel was the vibrations in the earth itself. ever movement was like a pinprick tremor. he could understand at first what he was feeling. it was all very confusing... like hearing a room full of people screaming different noises at deferent pitches and trying to understand it all. at first he could not tell what any of it meant but as he focused he began to comprehend. there were all of these tiny differences that made each one unique and told what it was and how far away it was. from people running and practicing taijutsu to people to someone barley shifting their weight. yes this was indeed a powerful technique. brining himself back to his senses he said "i feel it m'lady. every vibration...each like a installment in a grand symphony."

now that was something was a lot more aggressive and Tatsu liked it. it was like the saying 'a blade is not forged to stay sheathed.' rising to his feet he looked at his teacher and said "Yes ma'am" he waited for her to actually show the jutsu or at least the hand signs for him to do. so far he had gotten two jutsu no problem and he eagerly wanted it to be three. perhaps then he could move on to what he was really good at.

Tatsu drank in the details displayed before him. it seemed a simple enough concept. "i understand" he said then sped through the hand signs. at the very end he said calmly but with force "Tounyuu no Jutsu" focusing on the same tree and same spot on the tree he stopped the ground. as a rock flew into the air he sent it hurtling at the tree. he connected with a crack resounding back to where Tatsu stood. he could set more bits of the tree fall away. Tatsu felt he might have sent it a bit fast and perhaps with a bit more force then was needed but felt good since it was only his first time. He looked back to the face of his teacher for approval that he had done as instructed. now that he had done all three jutsu he could at last learn some of the sword style. he had travelled far from his home to learn this sword style. he had felt it would be a good place to start with learning sword styles.

Tatsu nodded at the words then went back to his sword and umbrella. Grabbing the sword by the sheath he came back to his teacher. "my lady i would like to learn a sword style" he said with a fire in his gut. a fire that was starting to spread to his whole soul. this is what he loved. this is what he wanted. this is what he was good at. learning annoying having to deal with swords was natural for him. this wa his passion; one that could not be easily explained but it was strong enough for him to take his own left eye in order to pursue it.
