Finishing up her work in the kitchen, Reijin wandered into the main hallway and looked around for another task. She decided to dust and straighten up the rooms reserved for entertaining guests. Approaching the first room, she listened carefully at the door before daring to peek her head inside, checking to make sure that no geisha were entertaining within the room. She was sure she would be reprimanded if she interrupted anyone. After making sure the room was unoccupied, she scurried inside to quickly complete her task.
She straightened out and fluffed up the cushions guests kneeled on, and wiped down the low table used for serving tea or sake. Retreiving a broom from the other room, she swept the floor, the rhythmic pattern of her strokes soothing. She also used the broom to knock down the beginnings of a cobweb from a ceiling corner. Surveying the room and judging it finished, she repeated the process to clean the other room.

Kyri walked into the house took off her shoes and put on the ones that she must wear in the house. she walked around looking for mother to ask her what she should do. but couldn't find anyone. she thought it might be disrespectful just to start yelling so she wandered around and making sure to remember everything she went by so she would know where it was.

Looking outside, Reijin noticed the darkened sky and realized the late hour. Her stomach grumbled, a most unladylike gesture, and she realized reluctantly that she had not eaten since breakfast. Returning to the kitchen, she found a pot of rice left sitting, and set about making rice balls for the Okiya. They were a simple, plain meal, but food was food. Fixing a tray of the rice balls, she went in search of others, more than willing to offer them something. Reijin assumed that the other maids especially had probably been, like her, working without a dinner break, and would appreciate a little something.

Kyri couldn't find anyone anywhere and then thought it might be rude if she was wandering so she went straight back to the front door and sat there until someone came and told what she should do.
she waited and waited but no one came.

As Reijin made her way through the Okiya, offering the others a bite to eat, she noticed an unfamiliar girl sitting near the front door. Judging from her attire, Reijin guessed she must have been another maid. Backtracking a few steps, she kneeled in front of the girl, carefully balancing the tray of rice balls and extending it to the girl, offering her one. "Hello, I have not yet seen you around the Okiya today. I am Tsukiyono Reijin. Would you care for a rice ball? I made them myself." She smiled warmly, softening her dark blue eyes.

Once Reiko had finished organizing the shoes, she simply sat back and glanced around the okiya, at least the main floor where she was. Everything seemed to be in proper order, the tables cleaned, the plates and bowls were put away and clean, shoes were in the proper order. And she knew which rooms and places were off limits. So for the time being, Reiko would wander outside, after changing her shoes, into the garden area of the okiya. There she would sit among the rocks in the garden and sigh, simply waiting to be called upon again.

Konoka huffed and puffed, running down the street, searching the signs, "I-I can't believe this! I'll be late and Okaa-san will surely beat me!" Her sandals flopped on the ground, making loud smacking sounds. Her short silvery hair blew behind her, flicking this way and that as she turned her head quickly. Her eyes widened and her face broke into a smile, "Yus! There it is!" She skidded to a stop, dirt flying up around her as she pounded on the door, "Gomen nesai! I'm supposed to be here!"

Izumi and her babies were very greatful for the rice balls, and thanked the young lady for the nice little treat.
As Izumi puts her babies to bed, Namari asks for a small glass of water, which Izumi hapily gets for him. as she is on her way to the kittchen she spots some more new faces and decides to welcome them. "Welcome" she bows low to them "I'll be back in one moment" Izumi quickly gets Namari his water and returns to the maid's quarters handing him the small glass of water "Thanks mommy.." Namari doses off after a long day of work, Izumi tucking him in loveingly.
Izumi quietly returns to the new girls sweatdrop "sorry, I'm Izumi.. " she trailed off noticeing one was quite distraught and smiles sweatly "don't worry, we don't bite" she reasures the girl before noticeing Umi trying to sneek out of the maid's quarters stare Izumi easily picks up the 60cm (2ft) tall girl and takes her streight back to bed.

Konoka looked through the small squares of the door, seeing and hearing people talking, she banged on the door again with her open palm, "Onegai! Let me in!" Thunder crashed and she rolled her eyes, shaking her head, "Kuso..."

Reijin was waiting expectantly for the girl to respond, when she heard someone knocking, and a distinct feminine voice outside pleading for entrance. Noticing that Izumi was preoccupied attempting to put the little ones to bed, she opened the door for the newcomer. The girl was somewhat disheveled and clearly distraught. "You seem upset," Reijin murmured. "May I help you in some way?" Looking out through the still-open door, she heard a clap of thunder and watched the storm clouds as they continued to gather. "Please, come inside, quickly. It looks like a storm is approaching." She ushered the girl inside and closed the door behind them.

Reiko heard the thunder in the distance, and could tell the rain was coming. They needed some rain, she thought as she sat there in the garden looking at the weeping flowers and the blossoms falling down carefully from the tree. All at once it seemed the downpour started, as was common in the Hanamachi, given the mountains and the valleys and whatnot. Reiko knew she should go inside, but... for some strange reason she remained there on the rock where she had set herself before. The rain poured down onto her, soaking through her thin kimono, making her hair go limp and out of the style she had done it in that day. Reiko felt a bond with the water, it was strange, she knew, but, it made her feel relaxed, as the lightning flashed, and the thunder boomed, she smiled as she looked towards the sky, sitting on her little rock in the Okiya garden.

Konoka smiled and twirled around, placing her hands in front of her, giving the other girl a small bow, "A-Arigato... I was just assigned to this okiya, but I couldn't find it. Gomen ne... I-I just didn't know if I should walk in or not... being it so late..." She continued to rattle on, rubbing the back of her head, still kind of embarrased.

Hearing the lightning Luna left the Geisha's room and headed down stopping as she noticed one of the maids out in the garden getting soaked. Quickly and carefully she moved down towards the bottom level and grabbed a towel and unbrella stepping outside slipping her feet gently into her Zori and walking over to the young girl. "Your going ot catch cold out here that wont be very good I'm sure!" She had a very soft face and kind features her voice soft and lulling as she wrapped the dry towel around the maid and held her unbrella over both of them.

The fact that a Maiko had come out into the rain, for her sake, it was shocking to Reiko. She looked up at the kind Maiko, and offered a smile, before she wrapped the towel more around her soaked self and would stand slowly, so she would not fall into the other woman. "Oh... I... thank you for coming out I... I probably would have stayed through the whole storm." And the Maiko did have a point, being sick would only anger the Okaa-san of the Okiya and she did not want to anger the Okaa-san. "My name is Reiko... I don't believe we have met..."
