Dymetri nodded as she spoke, honestly absorbing her words. Small pictures of a smaller Lin appeared in his mind whenever she mentioned a time of age and he also imagined several perfectionists with pointy ears running around in terror because of one rain cloud in the sky screaming, "EVIL IS ABOVE! EVIL IS ABOVE!" He almost smirked. Deciding to give her history a little more respect, his crude images ceased. He narrowed his eyes at her when she mentioned her pendant. "Do you consider being dead an ailment?" he asked suddenly. He noticed that he seemed to be glaring at the small sample of the spring water around her neck, and he pulled away, clearing his throat. "I'm sorry.. That was incredibly nosy and I was being self-absorbed.." Sure, being a vampire was entirely badass, but sometimes you got bored of having all the abilities a mortal could ask for. Sometimes you wanted obstacles, something to lose. Sometimes you wanted to live, not just exist. When she mentioned her father, he got the feeling she were bragging, though he pushed it away because he didn't care. "Your history isn't meant to be for complaining. You're supposed to enjoy the life you had." he said sadly. "Have." he corrected, for her sake. "But hell, when I was alive, I enjoyed it. I've met vampires who were just like me and just really wanted to stop existing just for the fact that it wasn't natural. Me, I began to think one day, many years ago: If what I was, wasn't natural, why would I exist? You understand, no? Still, the fact that most animals like dogs begin to whimper whenever they smell me kind of ticks me off. It's horrible, people begin to stare at you." he said, matching his step with hers. "Just like the way some people may gawk at your ears." He smiled, finding a common thing between them both. His hand trailed up her arm, never removing his touch, and let his hand hold the back of her neck. He didn't squeeze on it, nor did he just merely stroke it, but he held it. Held it and played with the roots of her hair that was right above that point. She had a floral scent that was opposite to what he smelled like. If he was too close, he probably would have had his nose in pain. Then again, he'd been close to her before. Perhaps she was growing on him. WHAT. Don't even think that, he told himself.

That thought stopped Lin dead in her tracks. He had a point... a very good point. She was thinking so hard that she barely noticed his hand on the back of her neck, gently playing with the roots of her hair.
She had always thought vampires weren't natural. They defied the laws of nature. Things were supposed to live and then die. Not die and then continue... existing. But, if it wasn't natural, why did they exist? She wasn't saying that most vampires weren't evil and dark... but unnatural?
Some people thought that way about her ears until they found out she was an elf, a creature very close to nature. They thought ears weren't supposed to look like that. She loved her ears. Elves cherished their ears. They were kind of like a judge of character and ability... of breeding. The longer and pointier your ears were, the more powerful and refine of an elf you were. Of course, this was somewhat of a myth, but it showed how much elves loved their ears.
Her ears weren't unnatural. She was born with them. Dymetri didn't have a choice in becoming a vampire. It happened. Nature had allowed it to happen and allowed him to exist, survive.
"You're... right." She was still just standing there, the wind blowing her hair and her dress around her.

He stepped in front of Lin, letting the wind remove his hair from his eyes, the sun shining onto them. It was painful, yes, then again so were all those years he spent with the humans on the street who were more cruel and animalistic than he was. Throughout the generations, they turned from the average hobo, to runaways, to drug addicts, the list continued. He's seen all type of pain. The pain that Lin had, though, was one she wasn't aware of. As intelligent as she was, no matter how much knowledge she was destined to have, she would always be ignorant about certain things. Things like him. In the beginning, he wasn't a person at all to her. Merely a thing. An animal that wasn't supposed to exist. "I'm a natural predator in this cruel world. Gifted with speed, agility, and much more. You are also gifted with those same exact things. In your mind, in your home, we are supposed to be exact opposites because of the type of magical beings we are assigned to by elders. I'm dark and you're light. So why do we possess the same gifts? Immortality is one of them, as well. The only difference is you are not cursed with the pain of having to take something valuable from another being in order to survive, at least not right in front of you." The sunshine against his eyes made them turn a bright red. The color of fresh blood. His pupils shrank, and though his eyes made him look like a monster, his face remained soft and tender towards her. He was old enough to not explode in his true form because of a little sun. For now. "You're not forced to see your food die as you eat it. As a vampire, you cannot control yourself at all, if you need to feed, you cannot stop. You must go, go, go! And at that exact moment, or else you might regret it." He hadn't noticed that he was holding Lin by her waist with both his hands, holding her close as he spoke to her. "You are a smart woman, Lin." he said, making it clear he classified her as a woman rather than a girl. "You very well may become a leader for the future youth of your kind. Separating the light beings such as nymphs, elves, angels, fairies, and so on with the darker beings such as lycans, vampires, demons, drows.. it's wrong. We are all creatures of nature." He blinked, realizing his eyes have changed. The sclera transformed to a marble-like coal while his eyes were a solid red. "Ach," he gasped, releasing his hold on Lin as he went to cover his face from her. He didn't want to frighten her, not now. He was shocked as he watched gravity pull her down. "Lin!" he called, reaching for her arm after the cold ocean water absorbed her legs. Her weight, surprisingly, pulled him into the water along with her. His eyes acted like a flashlight below the water, and from the way the lights were flashing back and forth, it was clear Dymetri was panicking. His eyes, since now being covered by the blackness of the deep water, had changed back to their normal, bright color. Lin was in front of him, seeming so calm, and for a quick second he was embarrassed. He calmed down slightly, remembering that he couldn't drown since he was already dead. He took another look at Lin, using his eyes for a light source. If she were to stare directly into his eyes in the form that they were, she'd probably see a spectrum of light. He drifted towards her, forgetting how beautiful a woman looked as her hair was weightless with the water. He extended his hands to her and pulled her slowly against him. "Lin.." His voice seemed to echo in the ocean. He wasn't aware of how his clothing was pulled to the surface quicker, making his torso visible before it was against hers. His face was inches-- now centimeters-- closer to hers than what it was in Starbucks. Dymetri gave her a soothed smile as he closed his eyes.

A hooded figure stood in the rafters above Ialo and the thing the commander became. "Haha cool." he smirked to himself and looked at the soldiers aim guns at the dragon "... now this just isn't fair" his words fell were inaudible over the crashing that the commander made. "to help or not to help ... hmm what to do what to do." he paced back and forth for a bit with his pondering expression. His scarf trailed behind him, and he cracked his knuckles "I guess I'll help him out." altho he spoke as if he was going to help he showed no rush to assist Ialo.

((Hey guys, guess who had a snow day today? AND IT WASN'T EVEN SNOWING. Even the mere PREDICTION of snow shuts the city down, lol. I think the superintendent just wanted a day off for inauguration.))

Lin wasn't panicking at all when she slipped into the water. She was actually smiling slightly. She couldn't drown. It wasn't possible. Elves were immortal. When in the water, elves' bodies were able to absorb the water in their skin and filtrate the Oxygen particles out of the water particles.
What she had been panicking about earlier, though, was when she saw Dymetri's eyes turn blood red. The rest of his face remained the same, but Lin's heart felt like it almost stopped when she saw his eyes fill with blood.
Now his eyes were back to normal in the dark water. And... he was looking at her in an odd way. She didn't understand it. Did she look different? Did the water do something to her? She had never swam in the ocean before.
When his face drew very close to hers and his bare torso rested against her clothed midsection, Lin started to panic again. What was he trying to do? Well, she had a very good idea, WHAT he was trying to do, but they couldn't. They never could. Her blood was lethal to him, for goodness sake! This couldn't happen.
She pushed away from him and started swimming to the surface very quickly. When she broke through it, she was breathing heavily and water was dripping from her hair down her face. She wasn't breathing quickly from a lack of oxygen, obviously, but from her heart racing.
When he joined her at the surface, she couldn't look him in the eyes. "I really need to get back to do my homework. I haven't touched it yet, at all."

He swam to the surface, breathing through his nostrils. They were practically flaring, really. But it's not like she was able to see. He was angry, really. He couldn't think with logic at that moment from the heat that should have been gathering at his cheeks. She rejected him! Him! He was a vampire, the only species who was given attractive looks just to catch their prey. Even when it wasn't for his prey, he was distasteful to her. He thought for sure all the deep s**t he was blabbing to her would make her fall for him. So what the hell happened? She was probably smarter than him in certain fields of study, so age didn't matter. If she was fearing for relationship problems between them two, God forbid, she shouldn't have because they both could continue an intelligent conversation. What the hell happened? Returning to the situation before him rather than his own thoughts, he proceeded to levitate until his entire body was out of water. He spun around at an epic speed until he was completely dry. Having removed the dampness from his clothing and hair (which was now slightly frizzy-- but what the hell. It would go back to normal by itself.) he set himself down on the still ocean, standing upon it just as easily as he was before. He kneeled down, offering Lin a hand out of the water, with a solemn expression on his face. "Indeed." was the only word that he spoke. He noticed that she wouldn't look at him. Well, he couldn't help but do just that. The only thing he held back as he gawked at her lovely features were his words. He spoke nothing for the duration of the walk.

Lin noticed that Dymetri was silent for the rest of the walk, all the way until they were back at the garden at the side of the school. She figured he had gone to the garden for a reason in the first place that evening, so she wanted to walk back there. Plus, she needed to gather herbs for the first class she had had earlier that day. Her need for and love of learning had forced her back to that classroom earlier that day to collect her books that she had left on the desk. She would stay with that class because the material was fascinating. And after tonight, she realized that she could at least tolerate the instructor.
Lin turned to face Dymetri. She smiled at him, wishing he would go back to how he had been earlier that evening. Why did he seem so angry all of a sudden? She didn't understand.
"You know, I actually had a really good time tonight. That coffee was amazing and the walk on the water was incredible. Thank you. I have to stay in the garden to gather herbs right now."

Upon Silverwings NeoNeon There was a short gasp as Ialo ducked, then slid around behind the man. Every gun was pointed at him. Perhaps 15 soldiers. And one very strong, pissed off man.
All against one dragon.
Psshhh... Ialo thought. I can take this. His eyes turned a vengeful crimson, and lightning flooded the room, all the lights exploding. However, the tanks and LSS interfaces remained intact, untouched. His scarf trailed behind him, and he cracked his knuckles "I guess I'll help him out." although he spoke as if he was going to help he showed no rush to assist Ialo. On a whim, Ialo looked up at the ceiling, and was shocked to see another person up there. He brows furrowed for a moment. His plans didn't account for an aerial attack, so he would have to quickly make up a new plan. In his distraction, Ialo had momentarily left himself wide-open to attack.

Chris stepped off the ledge and hooked his foot to the rafter makeing him hang upside down. he looked down at Ialo a smile on his face. "sup scale a**? having a nice time?" He threw a silvery knife through one of the soldiers armor causing him to spark, then fall over.
with that He un hooked his foot and landed near the body "not so tough" he chuckled to himself looking at the soldiers now splitting they're aim between Ialo and Chris.
