((well, i know that, but i mean, in total? there's a shitton. plus, one of the guys is a Panzermagus! that's so bad a**, i had to make my own class too. xd ))

Joe raised an eyebrow, looking uncertainly at Siber. "Uhh...I was on fire? So, unless there's something out there that has taken some interest in me-which, by the way, I'm not discounting- I'd say it was just fire itself. Why do you ask?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 26, 2008 2:31 pm

((You mean one of the guys was a Panzermagus. Now he's dead. biggrin ))

"Fire is not the most limiting of terms," Alan pointed out. "As for a more immediate concern, where's Helmsborough's home and how do we get there?"

Joe shrugged. "I know that, but it's not like I had time to check which deities were looknig me up while I was fighting for my life against an incarnation of evil from the Heart of Darkness."
He paused for a breath as he pondered the question. "Well, Siber is the one that knows for sure. He did all the research. I'm just the muscle."

((waaaaaaait...he's dead? when did this happen? sweatdrop
oh, and by the way, one of my RP buddies wants to join in. i can vouch for his skill. reason i'm saying is that i was wondering if you could give him teh once or twice or seventeen times over that you gave my profile?))

"Well, understandable. Siber? Is it close enough to get to easily, or...?"

((Alex the Panzermagus was sniped by Takeshi while he and Paul were wiping out Legion's thaumaturgic focuses. And yeah, the profile revisions come free with each submission. Just have him send it in.))

Joe raised a hand. "Oh, no no! I might not know all the details, but I think it was in Missouri, or Mississippi, or somewhere with an M." He shrugged. "We have to prepare before we go."

((he did? and i missed it?! gonk all the more reason for me to obtain a custom class then!
ok. i'm giving him a rough time with it, so it should at least be decent by the time he sends it. look for it in the next couple days. prolly tomorrow.))

((Aww, got out of the arc before I could read it and try to pull a GE... That is, the arc that developed completely devoid of my presence, lol.))

Siber glanced under his eyebrows at Joe. "Massachusetts. The Commonwealth of, that is. A trustworthy contact gave me an address somewhere in Aquinnah, population about 360. The biggest problem, therefore, is that summoning a bunch of high-power human beings to such a small area could easily wipe out the entire place. My idea-" he paused and winced. "The idea Keldan and I jointly developed," he amended, "was to have two powerful evokers, namely Joe and Samuel, let loose a pretty constant stream of energy starting somewhere nearby, like Philadelphia or New Jersey, to mask the smaller footprint people like Paul and I might make. They could fake a battle and drop us over Boston or Rhode Island so we can hitch a ride from there. The two of them need to go low-profile after that. There are two flaws that I can think of, and probably more. First: Joe and Samuel's only reason to try to kill each other is that they're on opposite sides of a war, and I don't think Abaddon would believe we had a person on both sides willing to give up their locations and waste all that energy so haphazardly when they need to be saving it for Abaddon. Second: why on Earth would we all hitch a ride to Philly or New Jersey?
"So I'm stuck there. Comments, questions... gummy fruit snacks?" He brought out a pack from a pocket and handed the bag around after taking a few.

Joe popped a few fruit snacks as he thought. "Good points. Let me think...well, Sam and I have had...differences in the past. Maybe that'll be enough to be convincing. If not, then we might need to find an agent of Abbadon and let it see some conflict within the group. Maybe if we added Takeshi to the mix, it would seem that Legion's men were attacking a lone Hunter?" He looked around inquisitively.
"Oh, and I don't know about the ride. That's your problem."

Alan waves away the fruit snack. "I would, but I can't taste it," he lamented. "As for concealment... you guys seem to have done fine without me, so I think if I were to set up a sort of massive veil over you guys from a protected area with a little preparation, you would be able to keep Joe and Sam with you and I could keep Abaddon off you. Also, you'd be able to go straight there."

"Unless you screwed up," came a familiar voice from his shadow, which Sindhlot arose from. From within his own shadow emerged an unfamiliar girl (whose profile has just been added to the early profile post. So nyeah).

Joe nodded. "That works too, if you're into that kind of thing."
He heard the voice and was instantly on guard, his eyes flicking across both the demon and the girl. With an effort, he relaxed, remembering that Sindhlot was still bound by Legion's truce. "Why are you here?" he asked cautiously. "And what do you mean, screwed up?"

((cool beans, two new people in as many days. maybe we're pickin back up! blaugh ))

"I mean if Alan lapses in his magic for a millisecond Helmsborough will know you're there," Sindhlot answered. "And she's with us." Takeshi nodded at her.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 27, 2008 2:31 pm

Joe nodded. "That may be true, but here on Earth his own power is significantly lowered. I think that the...five? of us could take him."
He turned to Takeshi with an evil grin, cracking his knuckles. Sparks flew from between his fingers. "Oh yeah? You think that makes it a little more even, or do you wanna try taking us? If we're doing this, then she's with all of us."

Takeshi sneered at him.

"Someone's being overly contentious. You wanna take this outside? One on one?" Takeshi glared at him.

"Takeshi, behave yourself," Sindhlot warned. "Legion wants Helmsborough out, and both of you being alive is conducive to that." He turned to Joe. Or at least he probably did. It's hard to tell with huge masses of Shadow. "And if you think you can take Helmsborough without those who follow Legion, just let us know. You've only seen one of his two power-ups and that was only after Legion got him to waste most of his power. Helmsborough is recovering now. He'll be at full strength again in an hour."

Joe's grin hardened as he stared Takeshi down. He was about to accept his offer, but Sindhlot stepped in. Reluctantly, Joe stepped down. It wasn't because he actually wanted to fight; it was more of a friendly rivalry. he wanted to see how the others had grown in his absence, however short.
Joe nodded. "Very well. We should set off soon then. Does anyone have any objections to splitting up and meeting back here in an hour?"

Siber ate fruit snacks while watching the others interact. When Joe and Takeshi started acting up, he fought not to roll his eyes and succeeded, but only by a small margin. Keldan groaned.
"I'm in favor. If we can pop in undetected and you think you can pull that off, Alan, I trust you to do it. Take your time, though; I'd rather not face Abaddon twice in that short a time." He was only too aware of how serendipitous his escape had been. "And Samuel, I thank you for the diversion, whether it was personable or not." He gave Sindhlot a small wave when he appeared and turned to the new girl. She seemed cold; a demeanor well-befitting the subtle curves of her frame and the icy jade of her eyes. "New girl, want a snack? And what's your name? I'm Siber." He offered the bag, having gotten it back by then.
