Raising a brow, Kalore couldn’t help but glance at the tea curiously. He hadn’t had good tea outside of the elvish lands... ever. But the man’s question brought his attention back as he watched him with a calm look. “Over a year. I’ve known him for a while now. But are you asking how long have we been together?” He raised a brow. “On and off for a while. What’s it matter?” So Kalore was still a bit hostile towards the other... but it was fading. At least he wasn’t being horribly snappy or bratty to the man. He was being as nice as he could imagine being. It would get better eventually; probably within a few minutes. Selik hadn’t done anything to really piss him off horribly.

Selik raised a brow and shrugged. "Just curious. Your the first one to come down here with the demon that's not being sold for something. Granted, you understand the nature of this place that I had to ask and make an assumption." He waved his hand around carelessly. "This place isn't something you bring partners or anything like that. Only business not pleasure....Unless your buying for pleasure."

Monty chuckled softly. "I assure you that Kalore isn't the type to be owned. He was born free and he will die free. Besides, he's mine and I'm very reluctant to let this male go." Malika came out of the back room, writing furiously as she ripped the paper out and gave it to Monty that had the price, which was alot of zeros. "You can pay after you receive the goods and if they are to your liking. You will have a period of seventy two hours for the money to be transfered to us. If you don't then you lose the materials and we will charge you higher than before. Anything else you both need?" She asked, looking between Kalore and Monty.

Selik hugged his sister. "Your the greatest helper ever sis, I love you." Malika glowered and elbowed her brother in his stomach hard, making him lean forward with a groan. "I'm sorry. It will...Never happen again." Monty chuckled and looked at Kalore. "Would you like to see if you find something nice for Dusk and Kyoshi? Perhaps fabrics or accessories?"

Kalore rolled his eyes. “I’ve realized that by your comments...” He glowered for a moment before glancing over at the amount that was needed to pay for what Monty got. His eyes widened as he slowly glanced over at Monty. He was paying for all that? For Kyoshi’s experiment? That surprised him but at the same time it was... interesting. Smiling just a bit, he sighed before leaning back and listening as the three interacted thinking if he really wanted to stay in this place. “I don’t like it here... but if they have interesting garnet jewelery, then that’s something that I want to incorporate for Dusk.” He really didn’t like the people there, though, and if one more person gave him that look...

Malika raised a brow. "If you want garnet then you go down to the left when you exit this, otherwise to leave it the way you came." She said, her bluish-green eyes sharp like gems as she bowed to Monty and walked into the back room leaving Selik with the two males. The man shrugged. "It's not a matter of liking the place, it has what you need if you haggle the prices where other places on the surface will rip you off." The demon rolled his eyes and shook the man's hand. "Come along then Kalore. I'll show you to what you need. I'll see you soon Selik." "Sure thing, old man." He saluted with a lopesided grin and bowed to them.

Standing up from his seat, he offered his hand to Kalore. "Just ignore everyone outside. They don't know any better and it's their trade. Sometimes, they have to ask regardless if you walk with a scary demon or not." He kissed the elf's cheek. "I promise to make this up to you later." He murmured softly.

He sighed softly, trying hard not to snap at those that were around him. Kalore didn’t think that there was anything that had to be made up, but he couldn’t help but feel a bit annoyed at those that decided to just comment and be less than helpful. Glaring at the woman finally, he took Monty’s hand before kissing his cheek, watching him. “There’s nothing to make up... if we can get Dusk a good gift then this trip will be worth it... But, you got what you needed, right?” He knew that there would be those that would continue to ask and try to see if he was ‘for sale’ again and Kalore knew that throwing a fit wasn’t going to stop that... but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to attempt it.

Not that it would be intentional, of course.

Monty shook his head and tugged Kalore towards the exit instead to get him out of the underground store before the elf got too annoyed or ticked off that someone was upraising him for purchase, which truth betold he didn't like anyone else looking at Kalore like that.

Yet to keep the peace he controlled his possessiveness and kissed the elf's hand. "We can go someplace less annoying if it pleases you. That way we can go eat and then I'll set you off to work on the outfits." He said, not wanting to keep Kalore from wasting any time on not doing his work.

Sighing again, Kalore nodded before giving just a small smile to the other, watching him. “Monty... if you want things here then we can stay here. I know where to get some nice gifts, but it’s up to you. I can deal with idiots decently enough.” He shrugged as on their way back out, there were those that were looking at him as though he were something for sale. So far no one had touched or bothered him, but the elf knew that it would happen if he stayed there. Selik was right; this wasn’t a place for partners and he obviously wasn’t the one there to sell things. “But... I do need to finish the outfits... No need for Dusk to kill us all...”

Monty nodded and pushed Kalore in front of him through the door they came from and closed it behind him. Then he motioned for the elf to go ahead of him to keep an eye on his back incase someone decided to risk their neck in crossing a demon hellbent on killing anyone who touched his elf.

Opening the door to the hallway, he looked around and tugged the elf next to him to leave the hallway. Monty sighed softly, opening the front door for Kalore. "Are you hungry before you work?" He asked, wanting to make sure that the elf was eating rather than missing out on the importance of food given that they were together....again.

The possessiveness that the demon had surprised him but then... didn’t. He smiled just a bit at the other as they went out of the place, the elf unable to stop himself from glancing back. Such a weird place to be hidden there. “I’m a little hungry, but it’s not too bad.” Another shrug and they were making their way to the car. He probably needed to eat something, but he just wasn’t all that hungry. Food was a good idea, though. “Monty, am I working on the outfits at your apartment or...?” It was nice being at Monty’s place again, but if this was going to become normal, he needed some more clothes.

The demon considered that as he unlocked the car and opened the door for Kalore. "You can work at the apartment." He shrugged. "I don't mind at all. I can clear up the living room or where ever you want to make them and be out of your way." He kissed the elf's cheek and went around to his side of the car and entered, starting the car. "Let's get what you need and then set to work."

“Really?” Blinking, Kalore soon smiled as he sat down, closing the door as he sighed softly, smiling a bit more. He didn’t know why it made him so happy but it was nice to know that he honestly was one of the few people to actually be able to stay around the demon for this long. It was nice. “How long are you going to stay in the apartment until your house is built?” Kalore blinked, leaning back against the seat as he placed some hair behind his ear. Goddess, he couldn’t stand how short it was now. Maybe he would just do it and use the enhancer. He’d had headaches before, so he could handle it, surely.

Driving away from the mansion and the rich district, the demon drove through familiar territory that was more to his comfort zone and tastes. Not that he had anything against the rich when he was a mega money maker in his own right, it was just he didn't like to draw attention to himself. "My house is already built. It just needs me to live in there but I'm fine with the apartment until I'm ready to take up residence." He said. It was true but there was one thing that needed to be done with the house that Kalore couldn't know about. It was just too complicated to explain to the elf who didn't know anything about demons and such.

It was best to keep that part to himself until he was alone to work on that part of the house. Finding a grocery store, the demon parked in the no parking, fire lane and looked at the elf. "Let's go get you some food and then I'll call Joker to give him the menu." He said, as if nothing was out of the ordinary of him parking in a no parking zone.

Kalore looked confused, tilting his head to the side. “I don’t understand... I don’t see you actually liking the small apartment...” Not that it honestly was all that small. “So... why don’t you just move into the house?” From what the elf remembered, Monty had wanted to move into the home pretty quickly. He didn’t realize that there were more... detailed things that had to be done before it could be done. Sighing softly, the man leaned on his arm as they drove away from the rich people, glancing around and seeing the stores and other shops that had become something nearly normal for him to see. And then Monty parked.

“Um... we aren’t supposed to park here, Monty...” Unless he wasn’t able to read English as well as he thought he could, Kalore was sure that that sign and the yellow lines meant that they couldn’t park there. Blinking some, he raised a brow, watching the demon. “And... I don’t need much food... just a small bit and I’ll be fine.”

Monty shrugged slightly. "I want to be sure that we are going to stay together before I move into the house where you can stay in too." He said bluntly and went to open the door for Kalore when he heard that they weren't supposed to park in the no parking zone. "I don't want anyone to scratch me car." There was a blink and a careless shrug as he tugged the elf's ear gently. "You need food. Get something and then you can ignore it."

Freezing for a moment, Kalore blinked. “Wait... live...live together?” He looked confused, watching him before giving a soft hiss at his ear being tugged. It didn’t hurt, but it wasn’t comfortable as he got out, pouting some. Even then, as they went into the store, he glanced over at Monty. Kalore didn’t think that they’d live together. He stayed over at Monty’s a lot, but he still didn’t consider that living together. He didn’t have all of his stuff there and he didn’t invade his home unless given permission; and normally it was just because... well, he didn’t really know. “I didn’t think we were going to live together.” Green eyes blinked as he got a basket, only wanting one or two things.
