You know.. I've been wanting to share this for a while now. I had shared it with a group once before and all I got was ridiculed and looked over for an inappropriate blue collar joke.
I'm not to good at description so bear with me.
The dream started with me, my step-father and my mother walking into this very large college / university of study. It's main classes were focused on earth studies or something I'm not entirely clear what they were because that wasn't the focal point of the dream. Anywho, My dad and I decided while being led down this very long hallway by one of the teachers, to order a pizza and see what would happen.
Low and behold, The pizza was delivered to us in the middle of the hallway so my dad and I ended up feasting on this pizza. Breaking out into a food fight and just having a good time. I get distracted by a classroom on my right, inside the properties of hologram technology were being highlighted. I was immediately fascinated by what was going on in the room but I was never shown what caught my attention.
Mom, Dad and the teacher had continued on without me. I had been separated from the people I had come here with in an unfamiliar area so I immediately got a bit nervous. I rushed down the hallway to see if I could catch up but to no avail. I came across a fork in the road and though on which path to take, one was brightly lit and filled with students and the like getting things from their lockers.
The other, on the left, was dimly lit. Not a soul in sight. I decided to go down the dimly lit path on the left simply because I was curious as to where everyone was. Classrooms lined the hall on the left and right sides, all empty. I made it to the end of the hallway where a large double door stood. I looked inside and there was a gathering of students in a Colosseum type room. Seats sitting in a circle around the middle of the room where a teacher stood.
Apparently I knew this teacher because I charged recklessly into the room to greet him. He had been teaching his classroom about the theory of space and time and how he discovered it isn't as linear as we thought. I sat in on this class and listened for a while to his blurred speech, I imagine this being because I can't hear something in my dreams that I do not know. Perhaps.
The lecture was interrupted by the rumbling ground, Lights flickered and then the earth shook violently. In a panic the other students ran away fearing for their lives. Only the teacher and I remained in the room, just looking at each other before both darting for an exit that I hadn't noticed before. The exit led upstairs and to the roof, We charged for the railing and look out on the ground.
Fissures spread out everywhere either centered from or to this university. Cars had been flipped, thrown or damaged during the quake and I decided to look up for some unknown reason to me. What I saw above was absolutely breathtaking. Above it would have appeared that our atmosphere had broken. Clouds had been stolen away to the depths of space and yet somehow, oxygen and gravity still applied as normal.
Various multicolored planets dotted the sky, tendrils of purple, red or pink gasses waved and spread across the sky. The dark blue or blackness of night that we know was no longer there and replaced by a sort of setting sun glow all over. Stars were still visible between these various planets and through the gasses and yet, the sun was nowhere in sight.
People on the ground were screaming and panicking. Running away in no apparent direction. The professor and I looked at each other after taking in this remarkable sight and ran for the ground floor of the school taking in the destruction that had been wrought. We made our way outside and for his car, my parents were the last thing on my mind but I noticed that their car was gone. We passed by a mother speeding off out of the parking lot, leaving her kids behind.
We made it to his car and got inside taking another look above through his sunroof, the scene hadn't changed aside from the night trying to encroach on the sunset colors cascaded about, but never truly victorious. There was an ebb and flow about them as they battled over who will rule the sky.
I looked to the teacher and asked him what could be causing this and why, he replied first by saying my name and was ready to explain what had happened as if he knew exactly what was going on and boom. My mom woke me up and the dream ended.
The dream was probably meant to be something sad and depressing, but it didn't strike me as anything short of the most beautiful dream I had ever conceived.
I know it's random, but I wanted to share this dream with someone. razz

I might even have to put it past my girlfriend and ro-kun as they are both dream interpreters better than I.

I would like to hear what they have to say very much! biggrin My descriptions do no justice to what I actually saw. It was truly something amazing. 3nodding Edit: You as well most definitely. I always want to hear what you have to say. xD You already knew this though. :3

gaia_nitemareleft That dream is just amazing! It's been a long time since I've had so vivid dreams. I've been pouring out all of my imagination into my stories lately so I suppose my brain is so exhausted that when I finally go to sleep, it just want's to shut its self off for a while. whee gaia_angelright

Or perhaps your brain isn't blanking you out simply because it might be tired, but working behind the scenes to come up with more ideas for you to add to your stories. :3

I've been filled with ideas lately. Some times I must seem like a zombie, walking around with bit glazed look on my face because I'm constantly thinking and "day dreaming". I suppose this is a one form of escapism. I had a rough year at work this fall and it's not going to be any easier next year either, so my brain counteracts the stress by creating these stories that I then write down. smile *sigh* It's not good for your social life though, when you are zoning out every now and then. xd *brews herself a pot of Russian Earl Grey Tea* "Ahh, just what I needed." *burrows herself into the armchair in front of the fireplace* gaia_angelright

Yar, I find roleplaying to be a good form of escapism. I used to roleplay a lot on these here forums but it would appear that I grew up and the quality of RP on gaia has... declined. Writing stories is a good way to keep your imaginative spark alive.

You know, I agree with that opinion. It is difficult to find a literate roleplay here! Even the guilds that cater to that, errm, yeah. Then if you actually start one in the forums, you cannot drum up enough people to play! So, I write too. I also read a lot and play RPG's. My mind has to be busy or I drive my family insane!

It's a sad day when one comes to realize this. When you do manage to drum up enough people for the RP they eventually fade away. It can be quite depressing. Besides, Nowadays, Roleplayers are more interested in 'Cosplay RP' I guess it could be called. Where they RP in a universe that they are familiar with, that already has a set of rules to govern it and restrict just how creative you can get with it because things have already been debunked by the anime / show they want to RP about. Don't get me started on Twilight RP's. That's when RP declined for me. I imagine today being some sort of hell filled with My Little Pony' threads for RP and the like. I used to run an RP guild myself, It flourished for a while but eventually died off. It is now a skeleton. Then I tried a Pokemon RP. It was / IS a lot of work to do things the way I wanted to do it. If I had ever completed that masterpiece I had in mind, It would have been a replica of the games themselves . Only a more descriptive awesome text version. Then of course there was Calamity of Rogues. Another RP world of my creation based around greek mythology and the like... Those were the days.
