((Impressive, I figured that would have scared pretty much anyone away, but I guess I was wrong. Also did you receive the guild invitation?))

(Well I guess I'm special then. x.x Yay me. I did, and I joined, although I haven't been able to think of anything at all for the guild.)

Tanner walked into the restroom and bathed, and then washed his clothes. Feeling very refreshed, he walked back into the parlor and picked up the book. "I expect to leave at noon and be on our way again. Everyone get ready to leave," he said with authority. Kai went to wash up. The sun was already approaching its peak in the sky. Sarte whimpered in his chair, he was very stiff from not moving around all night. Lucas took notice and walked over and released him. Sarte was grateful but too weak to move. He sat there, weakly smiling at Lucas, who handed him an apple from the dish on the coffee table. ((Sorry for the boring post, but nothing exciting can happen until we get moving.))

Leszya re-entered the temple, walking into the parlor with her coat on and her pack on her shoulders. A bit of a warm up had invigorated her, she was smiling slightly and her stance and relaxed. She walked to the coffee table and picked up an apple, wrapping it in a piece of cloth and slipping it into a side pouch for later. Leszya moved to the side of the room, leaning against a wall with her hands resting lightly oh her hips.
" Ready when you are."
(( Sorry 'bout the posting delay ><. I've written 68 pages of essays in the last 2 weeks or so, I'm not so into typing right now. Good idea to move it along though!))

((Sorry for not typing anything for the past 10 pages or so.))
After the brief announcement that the old man was dead, Evacy had fallen asleep in one of the guest rooms. She woke with a start. It took her a minute or two of staring at the ceiling before she remembered where she was. Evacy then flung off the covers, quickly washed up and took a bath, forgetting to have done so last night. After having refreshed herself, Evacy walked into the parlor. "Sorry for missing out." She said as soon as she opened the door. Her bag and things were still where she left it. "So, what'd I miss?"

"I believe we missed each other." Leszya walked up to Evacy, extending her hand.
"My name is Leszya, I'll be joining this crew." her smile still lingered, exercising had put her in a spectacular mood. " A pleasure to meet you."
" Other than that, let's see...." she looked around. " The elderly gentleman is no more, and his grandson, if I am to understand this correctly, has been bound to a chair quite tightly for the night. Since our human resources haven't provided us with much information, the individual by the name of Tanner has gathered it from a book that we are to follow when we leave. Which is noon."
Leszya turned to Sartre " If you can, sir, I'd attempt to stand, stretch, or move some of your extremities. The longer blood flow is hindered, the more difficult it will be to regain your control. I'm happy to assist if you so desire it."

Evacy shook Leszya's hand. "I'm Evacy. Welcome." She sat down and started to much on a loaf of bread. "Has Tanner let you see the book or whatever?" she asked, watching Leszya talk to Sartre. "And does he have anything to do with it?"

He was freshly shaved and attired, donning himself a fine crimson cloak and black doublet over his habitual leather armour, if a little sore from his activities of the previous night. He should learn to leave it to the young.
Finding Evacy and Leszya in the parlor and approached them, "Why hello there ladies." He waved half heartedly, his mind on how he would be training them all on the way.

"Thank you, Evacy. I'm glad to be involved, it should be a fascinating little endeavor." She shrugged, running a hand through her hair while she paused for thought " I looked over a few pages briefly, but Tanner's got the plan here."
She glanced towards Sartre. " I don't think he knows a thing about it. I have no idea what they're doing with him."
She glanced over at Pix.
" Well, good morning Mr. Pix" her mouth formed a wicked grin. "I trust you had a productive evening? From the sound if it, I'd say as much."

"What can I say? I'm good at what I do," He matched her grin, meeting her eyes, "I'd say that I wouldn't mind you testing the theory, but it seems my Lord Tanner wants to jump your bones." He laughed remembering the man's expression when he had first seen her.

One of her eyebrows shot up.
" Oh really? I'm flattered, Mr. Pix. However, a delicate female such as myself shouldn't be subject to such conversation. Since you and Tanner have obviously played a game of dice and he's rolled higher, I'll just go limp and allow myself to be led off, shall I?"
Her hands moved smoothly to her hips. Her head was cocked to the side, and her pale eyes were alert.
" My bones are my own, and my reflexes are too quick to allow myself to be jumped by anyone. But don't think I'm not appreciative of the compliment." She finished with a little laugh.

He chuckled, this woman was quite entertaining, "Ah what it's like to be young and with the belief that you don't belong to anyone, reminds me of myself some twenty years back, minus the fun parts of course," He smiled at her fondly, "You'll learn soon enough that everyone has their chains." He turned away from her, yelling out to beckon the others that had to be around the parlor at this point, "Alright you dogs! Get your asses here, it's about time I began teaching you all what being a mercenary is all about!"

Tanner gave Leszya a grin; at least she didn't mind that he was a man just like any other, sometimes motivated simply by sexual intentions. He was immediately even more attracted, but of course kept that to himself. Sarte heard Leszya's comment a moment earlier and nodded weakly, attempting to move his legs and stand. After several attempts to get out of the chair, he got up and stretched, joints popping from the little movement he had made all night. Tanner stood up as well, after glaring at Sarte. "Several revelations and discoveries made by Ulysses have led me to believe that we will now easily find the hive of the Khaal. When we leave, that's exactly where we're going to head. It's going to take a while, so of course we'll have to make stops on the way. But now we have direction. The book has proven useful, as I had hoped. I'll let you all know the important things on the way there. Now, it's not important. Let's go." Tanner led the group out the temple and they went on their way. He took the opportunity to explain their first landmark. "We're traveling to the west coast of this continent, the place where the Khaal were, allegedly, first created according to the stories that Ulysses also believes are true. Now, it's a ways away. I'm going to utilize our time and go to a small Khaal breeding ground on the way to the coast to further study their habits and learn more about them, directly. Hopefully figure out their weaknesses and how to exploit them, and whatnot." With that, Tanner led them on their way. ((I think Pix probably wants to do a training thing now, but if not, I'll fast-forward to the point where they reach the breeding ground.))

" I believe I said I don't belong to anyone here." Her voice was quiet and smooth as she followed Tanner out of the temple and began to walk, her thumbs hooked into the shoulder straps of her pack.
" If everyone has their chains, Pix, I must wonder who you are chained to."
"Espionage!" her face broke into a grin as she turned towards Tanner. "I assume the Khaal are these fish-man types. A pity they're unlikely to be distracted by a worm on a hook." she paused thoughtfully. "Though I suppose there are logical places to start. Some kind of motivation must be apparent in their actions, save if their actions are simply indiscriminate and profitless violence and mayhem."
