Actually if you look at the original SW RPG (WEG) The credit went a shitload farther than it did in even KotOR...
but back to the Ships...
The V-Wing did evolve into the TIE...

Why is the V-wing called the V-wing anyway? last I checked, the wings were vertical.

I really wish I had a tie interceptor, just for routine, cross-world flights. It'd be so much fun to eat lunch in London, then come back to the US for breakfast in a short amount of time.

I dunno, I rock so much at flying Interceptors on BF2, that I don't think I'd have any trouble doing so in real life, given some training, whereas I don't think I even know what the Auric Runner is.
