How much do you think a 1000 (roughly) point grey knight force would cost me?

power armored: 7 boxes of GK to assemble as troops, heavy suport and fast attack according to taste, Draigo to act as GM = £157.30
termies only: 4 boxes of GKT to assemble as troops and/or paladins, Draigo as GM or himself = £124.60

calculated at GW website, need to add shipping and taxes

I think he was referring to the Banner. sweatdrop
Rads can be taken by almost all character in the codex
(Not counting specials, 2 cannot).

Paladins and Terminators only has the banner as an upgrade,
3rth if you take GM Mordrak and get Ghost Knights.

But I see what your getting with the banner. :b

So around 170-180 US Dollars? Not as bad as I thought it would be.

yep, but with librarian and 3 dreadknights youre all set against the tricked-out demons... fatecrusher CAN be dealt with, though it is harder to do than most setups

remember though that any rhinos/razorbacks will make the army much costlier with low points to money ratio...

True true, but honestly, it's unlikely a person will take three DKs.

if youre taking it, take 3... this way youre setting up multiple targets and maximize the possibilities with d3 roll for GM's strategy - 3 scouting or scoring dreadknights anyone?

Aye, I can imagine it, it would pwn quite a lot of things, and they are tough, no doubt about it, but I just see it unlikely that a person would take 3 Dks, aside from Power Gamers.

I dearly hope so, otherwise the hobby is pretty much universally screwed.

Hmmmm, any one, with the codex, care to make an entire Brotherhood? I assume it's a company, like a Space Marine chapter, although I could be mistaken.

dex states it is usual for the brotherhood to have around 10 squads, divided in various proportions between terminator, strike and purgation (heavy weapons) squads, paladins and purifiers exist aside from the brotherhoods, paladins mainly serving as bodyguards for the GMs, purifiers guarding tainted artifacts etc.

my take on the "fluffy brotherhood"
captain - 150
5 termies, 1 psycanon 225
5 termies, 1 psycanon 225
10 strike squad, 2 psilencers - 200
10 strike squad, 2 psilencers - 200
10 strike squad, 2 psilencers - 200
10 strike squad, 2 psilencers - 200
10 purgation squad, 4 incinerators - 200
10 purgation squad, 4 incinerators - 200
10 purgation squad, 4 incinerators - 200
total 2k exactly
note the free psilencers on strike squads and incinerators on purgation squads
