Roswell found himself quite suddenly in the company of someone not much bigger than he was, but she had a strong grip and he was suddenly being herded through the sand and monstrous centipedes towards the sharply glowing light and the rest of the hunters from the island who had come as, what, a rescue party?
"Please," Roswell coughed through the sand, "It's not just me. No, please wait-" And his rescuer paid him little mind, but soon disappeared back into the as soon as he was safely dropped off at the portal, "Where- Sir? Merric? Ly-Lysander," Roswell said the last name quite miserably, and refused to go through the portal, gripping Gil tightly.

Centipedes churned in the sand at his feet, and as Vash tried to struggle toward the portal, several of them lashed out around his legs, scraping roughly against skin and the edges of his shield. He raised his gun to fire back at them, but before he could get off a shot, they disappeared back into the sands.
Dizzy, he turned in place, squinting through the maelstrom of sand. "Hello? Is anyone else around?"
Sand was swirling all around, constantly whipped in her face to the point where she couldn't even breathe. Hiking her bandanna up to cover her mouth and nose better only helped so much, especially in the stifling heat, and still the wind buffeted against her, still giant legs shifted the sands, still she couldn't gain her footing or even see where she was supposed to go or how to get there.
There was a point where every warrior began to feel like they'd been defeated, sometimes not even in battle, and this was that moment for Dottie.

Rolling for Lysander - Ignore this I ******** it right up.
Under some circumstances Clyde would be a lot more willing to stay an help, but this time, some people who actually knew what they were doing arrived. Clyde decided that just staying the heck out of the way of they guys who could cut a leg off that thing was just a good idea.
He left the cave and went for the portal and... maybe not. There was a giant assed bug in his way.
Lysander was right behind Roz right up until he wasn't, lost in the throng of bodies. He ran into a really scruffy guy who gave him an ipad, he wasn't sure what to do with it and instead just kept running as best he could in the direction of the portal.
"DAWSON? DAAAAAWS!" America called out above the din at the portal, refusing to go through until she either saw him or had news of him getting to safety. If felt like forever. She could even feel her leg going numb from it.

61 - 70: Your legs (pick one) feels numb, and you realize belatedly you've been stung on that leg. For the next week, your character suffers from nightmares of centipedes and sees shadows of them around every corner.
The crash and heave of the huge thing outside the cave seemed to go on forever. The hiss of the sand and the howl of the wind would feature in Lin's dreams, she was sure. Then there were hunters shouting, shepherding them out, and Lin followed blindly, stumbling in the slipping sand and panting through her scarf. A woman she'd seen maybe once or twice urged her on and brought her to the bright blue, weirdly shaped portal before turning back to help others.

INTERMEDIATE/FULL HUNTER ASSISTANCE clyde is a free elf
There was the portal, he could see it. But he couldn't get to it. Clyde kind of was just going to chill behind this rock here for now. He managed to avoid the worst of the deadly acid that was everywhere. Actually comparatively he was doing pretty good, but he really needed to find a way out.
Look he build forts. He did not want to get squished by giant fort breaking bugs.
There was just too much going on, and in all the chaos and wind and centipede legs crashing left and right, somehow Fredrick never seemed to be any closer to the portal. His legs were stinging worse than ever, and it was so hard to even keep his feet under him, but he had to if he was going to make it. No one had seen him, so he had to just push through himself or- He crashed back down to the sand, because of course he did, and now the struggle was to get back on his feet at all before he died there.
And honestly, to hell with that. If they hadn't seen him, it was because he wasn't being loud enough yet. "Help!" He spat out sand and tried to shout louder even past how dry his throat was. "I need help over here!"
