Growling with each step trying to see if he could figure out what the Voice would look like, but nothing came to mind. Oh how he got a little more excited when Adiyan saw the next floor and so hoped that it was the last as he was getting sick of walking up all these stairs and for the fact he wanted to know how this last adventure was going to end. (( Entering~ )) Another floor, another door, this one requesting the sacrifice of speaking. Merope crossed his arms as he thought, considering the message. Speak... would that be the same as he said? Perhaps what he stood for and represented? He had already abandoned his staff. Perhaps now... Merope reached to his waist and removed the shadowy robe, plucking his Shadow-Tarot Deck out of its pocket and shoving it into his sash. He folded the robe as neat as he could, holding the cloth in his hands. His thumb stroked the sheen fabric, lingering over it. He forced himself to set the robe down, tucking it out of the way in the corner of the door. His plain, unassuming robes covered the bright, almost playful clothes of the fool. He wondered if he ever was one in his fake memories, who later took up the hermit's staff at the same time he too withdrew from everyone in Amityville. He took a deep breath, pushing the door open and stepping through. It felt like a weight was lifted off of his shoulders, replaced by the even heavier weight of doubt. Why was he doing this? He didn't owe then anything. But why not? Merope replied as he ran a hand through his hair. He was already here. He might as well see what was going on, if only to finally understand the rumors and gossip he heard in the hallways.
