 Mizuki barely heard the rustling of the grass as Masato turned towards Jayden before he hit him. She muttered, "Something's not right..." When she heard what Jayden added to his sentence, she had flashbacks of her life before. As she did, a smile struggled onto her face. She shook her head as she snapped back to reality. 'He has faster reflexes than that, he could've dodged Jayden... So why didn't he?' She thought. After a few quick moments of not coming to any conclusions, she decided it didn't matter. She had to save Jayden, no matter the cost. She slowly got up, making it look as if she was going to run away. Instead, she charged towards Masato.Masato decided to watch Mizuki for a bit, to get the amusement of seeing her run off scared. He was confused when a smile struggled onto her face. He continued watching her for a bit, before he sighed, deciding not to worry about it. He got ready to do another high jump, but before he could do it Mizuki charged at him, and tackled him. He said, "What the hell?!" He wondered why in the world Mizuki would do that.

Feeling Masato fall, Jayden looked at the source and was shocked that Mizuki charged instead of turning to run. "What are you doing? Go for help!" Jayden said to Mizuki. "Quick before he gets back up."

Mizuki shook her head, and said in a slightly scared tone, "No, I know these people. They'll have moved by the time we come back. We won't be able to find you again." She punched Masato, and continued talking, "You run. I'll be fine. I-I'll be able to get away. Just like this time. Y-You won't. At least I don't think you will."Masato decided to be nice enough to let Mizuki finish talking. He chuckled, "How entertaining. I definitely did not expect that you wouldn't run, even if you caught wind that I intentionally let him hit me." He smirked, and pushed Mizuki off of him, "But the fun's over. Apparently you've forgotten how weak you are. There's no darkness, no technology, nothing here to help you. I on the other hand..." He drew water from the grass, and made it flow from his fingers visibly, "Have all I need, and I'm not about to have Shion on my a** over some brat like you." He attempted to use the water to encase Jayden in it, which he would then attempt to freeze the water around him, encasing him in it. He smirked as he saw Mizuki frozen again, which he assumes is out of fear. 'Good, she remembers her place.' He thought.

Watching Masato control water, Jayden remembered he could too. When the water started encasing his form he started pushing the water back with his ability as best he could. His attempt was pretty weak, and he wouldn't be able to last against Masato for more than a minute and a half...maybe less. "Mizuki run! He can have just me or the both of us. You have his scent on you, get it to everyone else." Jayden begged knowing he was fighting a losing battle. Just talking and losing the little bit of concentration he had sent Masato's water right under his chest. "Run, I can't fight...anymore." Too tired to fight against Masato, Jayden was covered in ice, frozen.

Mizuki was, in fact, not frozen out of fear. She intentionally made it look that way so she could think about what she should do. She looked towards Jayden as she heard the water freeze over. She muttered, "I'm tired of running..." When she said that, something stirred in her heart that she hadn't really felt in a long time, bravery. She didn't even care that Jayden figured out who she was. She slowly got up, while saying, "I'm not... Going to run... Anymore." It sounded as though she was assuring herself more than making a statement. She turned to Masato with a determined look on her face. She felt less sunlight where they were than she did before, which made her confident. She put her hand up to the side, and said coldly, "Forgive me. I don't think I've introduced you to the demon who lurks in the shadows." Just as she said that, a rustling in the bushes at the edge of the clearing where her hand was facing could be heard. She smirked, as she used her other hand to manipulate her shadow and make it start moving slowly towards Masato.Masato watched Mizuki curiously, while he continued to keep Jayden frozen, without it being permanent. When she got up and spoke confidently, Masato's eyes widened. He was surprised by her sudden bravery. When she spoke of a demon that lurks in the shadows, he knew that he had to think of a strategy quickly. As well as figure out what she was going to do. He was distracted by the rustling in the bushes when he heard it. He looked over at it, startled a bit. He said, "What nonsense are you trying to fool me with, little Mi-mi?" He was even more startled when he felt Mizuki's shadow wrap around him. It was still weak due to the sunlight, but it managed to get to his arms. He tried to fight Mizuki's shadow off, while keeping Jayden frozen, but it was no use. He had to choose one. He lost his focus on Jayden, thus unfreezing him. He wasn't quick enough to act, though. His arms got pulled back, and he dropped Jayden.

 Coughing and breathing heavy, Jayden rolled on his side shivering from his wet fur. He was freezing and the sun wasn't doing much to warm him up or dry him off. If one were to look closely enough at Jayden, you'd see his lips had a blue tint to them and his skin was a bit paler than normal.
Slowly standing on shaky legs, Jayden walked away from Masato as fast as he could, since his legs felt numb, as he made his way over to Mizuki. When he was close enough to the blond, he fell beside her, teeth chattering loudly as he curled into a ball and rubbed his arms to warm up.

 Masato growled at Mizuki. He said, "You have no idea what you just did, little Mi-mi." Noticing that Mizuki was trying to do something else with her shadow, since she was receding it, he picked up the water with his powers, and looked at Jayden. He smirked, "If you care so much about the boy, then save him!" He hurled the water towards Jayden, making it colder and colder whilst it flies through the air. While he did this, he thought about what his next few moves would be. He said with the smirk still on his face, "If you can, that is. After all, we both know how weak and fragile you really are."Mizuki looked towards the water hurling towards Jayden as she heard it swooshing through the air. She then looked towards where Jayden was. She said to Masato, "Do not mock me." She stepped over Jayden, and stood in front of him. She muttered some words under her breath, using her magic to manipulate the shadows. She said in a mocking tone, "Honestly, you're gonna have to do better than that, and you know it." RIght after she said that, the water engulfed her instead of Jayden. Masato went ahead with his plan regardless of who it was. The water around Mizuki began to freeze.

"Hey," Jayden shouted as he stood up "leave her alone, jerk-face." tossing his head back some to keep the hair out his eyes, he glared at Masato, faint shivers still going through his body "Or you'll have to deal with me!'

Masato smirked at Jayden. He said, "Oh, but I can't leave her alone. She's my fail-safe." He laughed, as he started freezing Mizuki faster, "Besides, your threat was as pathetic as hers was when I took her sight from her."Mizuki looked towards Jayden without moving anything but her eyes as much as she could for a few seconds. She then looked straight ahead, and closed her eyes. She was muttering under her breath, still controlling the shadows.

Shrugging, Jayden started bouncing on his feet "Alright, suite yourself" Turning in a random direction, Jayden ran to the woods quickly. "Come get me." he said as he rushed off, using a bit of super speed to help.

Masato sneered. He said, no louder than he normally is, "I'm not as dumb as you think, boy." He continued focusing on freezing Mizuki, and added as an after-thought, "Besides, I said that she's my fail-safe."Mizuki gave a glare to Masato. Still being able to move in the water, considering it's not frozen yet, she goes to the edge of it, getting out only with her head. She takes a breath of air, and called out, "Jayden, run, I'll catch up with you. Trust me!"

Jayden ran behind where Masato was and heard Mizuki tell him to run. Its not that he didn't trust Mizuki, he just didn't trust her fears. Debating on what to do, Jayden ran fast. He didn't run away, he ran to where the wind blew downhill so his scent wasn't noticed or found and turned invisible, Jumping in a tree where he could see the duo, Jayden sat quietly and watched, just in case Mizuki needed him.

Mizuki's head got sucked back into the water. She closed her eyes and continued muttering under her breath as the water froze more and more. She was concentrating hard on what she was planning on doing. As the water freezes, instead of the light of the sun-set shining through it, it simply shines on it. Though it reveals that it's filled with darkness, completely. Mizuki is still muttering, the darkness is protecting her from at the very least her mouth being frozen. She began getting just a little bit louder each second, as the darkness seeped out of the ice. The ice cracked as the darkness seeped through, no matter how much Masato tried to resist. It didn't take long for the darkness to break free from the ice, and the ice shattered. The darkness started spreading throughout the clearing, as it began getting darker in the clearing than it was in the forest. Mizuki merged with the darkness as soon as she got free from the ice. She spoke, but it was different than when she normally spoke, her voice seemed darker, and more evil, but also child-like, "Were you getting cocky, Niichan? Did you think it was going to be that easy to catch me? Are you confused now? Try to fight your way out of this one. Find a strategy that will help you against this darkness. I dare you." Each of her sentences, sounded like they came from a different spot. Well, because they did. A different spot in the darkness. She laughed, and continued speaking, "I've gotten stronger since we last met, a lot stronger. You knew that already though. You were counting on my fear, weren't you? You had to of known it was only a matter of time before something out of your control happened once I stopped being afraid. Oh, but I guess you thought if I got trapped in the ice I wouldn't be able to do anything. I suppose that was a logical guess"Masato looked around everywhere, as he said lowly, "What the hell?" He called out to Mizuki, "What sort of trick is this?! I will not fall for your mind games, Mizuki!"

Jayden shivered feeling the darkness from his hiding spot. He wanted to run but was frozen in place by fear and curiosity. Listening, he shivered at Mizuki's voice and griped the tree branch he was on tighter. "This is scary." he whispered to himself.
