Walking through the large double doors leading into the Mizukage Tower, Kaizen made his way through the waiting area that was the entrance. As he walked past the rooms occupants, their wary stares boring into the back of his head, Kaizen was not surprised to hear the high-pitched squeal of the Mizukage's rather annoying secretary. "And just where do you think you're going!", the woman screeched, causing Kaizen to stop in his tracks and turn to face her. As his stony gaze met her narrowed eyes, she stopped for a moment with a quick inhalation of breath.

"Yamatano and I are going to see the Mizukage, unless you have something important to tell us, we'll be on our way", Kaizen replied in a voice filled with neither malice nor annoyance, he simply stated it as a fact, nothing more. As Kaizen turned to continue on up towards the top of the tower, the woman lifted a hesitant hand, as if on the verge of trying to stop him once more, but lowered it as she turned away resignedly.

As Kaizen approached the door to the Mizukage's office, Kaizen lifted a hand to knock on the door when it slid open, the Mizukage stepping out with a young girl in tow. Lowering his hand, Kaizen bowed stiffly as he said in a flat tone,
"Yamatano and I are back to give our mission briefing, Mizukage Dono."

The shadows inside of the Mizukage's office wavered wildly as a creature materialized out of the very shadows themselves. The long and flowing black cloak wavered as it took a single step forward, a dark and foreboding apparition. As the creature glanced around the room, it took notice of several things. For starters, the lighting...it was a very soft light that illuminated the room, casting many shadows around the room. The second thing it noticed was the smell of incense burning on the desk, giving the office a pleasant smell that relaxes the muscles and eases tension. The last thing the creature noticed was that the Mizukage was not here. Taking another step forward, the creature folded its hands across its chest looking out towards the village of Kirigakure from the Mizukage's window.

"I must have just missed him..." the creature stated, it was the voice of a woman, the voice soft and soothing. Her arms fell down to her sides as she sighed deeply. This was Robin, a hunter nin of Kirigakure. It has been two years since Robin left Kirigakure, left to hunt down several missing nins. Finally aquiring all of the targets on her list, Robin deemed it necessary to return to her village. Hopefully Luo will be happy that she has returned, Luo being the one who freed her from her confines within the bowels of the earth, training deep beneath the Kiri Training Facility, a member of an elite group of hunter nins controlled not by the Mizukage, but by the Kiri Council. Upon finding out about this group, the Mizukage had it disbanded immediatley, taking the members under his wing and giving them a purpose in their lives. Now Robin awaited the Mizukage's return in order to report the deaths of several of high ranked rogues.

As she waited, memories of her past and travels began surfacing, running through her mind as she watched them happen before her very eyes. The most memorable of these thoughts was her visit to the Leaf Village in search of a rogue water user who had stolen a valuable sword from Mist. It was here that she found out the names of both her parents, of her lineage, and her last name. She was a Nara, a manipulator of shadows and Kageton jutsus. She always knew that she was able to manipulate them, it was why the council found her so useful. But she had no idea that there were many others just like her, and during her travels, she found herself making visits to the Leaf village quite often. With the help of the other clan members, she had learned many valuable skills and jutsus, including medical jutsus. She wondered what Luo would think of this, for when she left she was, she felt, so limited. Her only skills were genjutsu and stealth. But now she felt like she was stronger, a better ninja.

Waiting for Luo to come in, Robin walked around the room, stretching her hand out as she ran her fingers across the surfaces of his cabinets, his desk, the walls of the room. She was getting a better feel of the room, it has been so long since she had stepped foot in it. Besides, she needed something to do while waiting for the Lord Mizugake's return.

“Those who dare bring harm to my friends, my village, and my way of life…”

xxxxFollowing Kaizen up the stairs to Lord Luo's office, Yamatano took note of the many people bustling about, some taking note of the two boys and pointing them out to coworkers, hoping they didnt noticed. Of course they did......at least, Yamatano thought Kaizen did as well, but he chose to ignore it. Even after a year and a half had passed, people would still stare in wonder at Kaizen, the boy who housed the killer of his parents, the host of the Gobi. Ever since the chuunin exams, Kaizen had become notably more reserved, not the happy, charge headfirst without thinking Kaizen he used to be.

Yamatano did have to smirk, however, when he saw the Mizukage's shrill secretary back down under Kaizen's glare. Maybe there WERE a few advantages to the new Kai, Yamatano thought as he gave a small laugh towards her direction, causing her to turn a hateful eye on him.

As Kaizen opened the door to the Mizukage's room, Yamatano was greeted not by the Mizukage, but by a woman seemingly searching the Mizukage's office. She wore what looked like a battle uniform, though certainly one he had never seen, and she was rifling through a bookshelf when they walked in. Going on the suspicious but appearing calm, as his training in the regular division hunter-nins demanded, Yamatano casually asked,
"Ma'am, can we help you with something? You appear to be lost." The woman didnt seem like an intruder or a thief by any means, but a shinobi, especially an oinin, could never be too careful.

Robin turned her head at the young one who had just asked her a question. Taking a step forward towards him, she bowed her head slightly. This was a sign of not to show respect and courtesy, but to show that she meant no harm. She had been gone for two years, and even then, her existance in Kirigakure was only known to a few people. Robin stood up straight and inspected the boy, walking around him as if she was trying to find something wrong with him. The boy seemed properly equipped, with white hair and a mask he held a mask that was adorned like those of a Hunter nin (I am going by your format picture). Though standing cassually, the boy seemed to have very little openings and was ready to defend himself at a moment's notice, though there was always room for improvement. Then again, she herself was not perfect and everyday she strived to improve herself.

"Yes, young one, you can help me," she told him as she walked back towards the window of the Mizukage's office and stared out of it, as if looking for something. "The Lord Mizukage, I am looking for him. Perhaps you know where he is?" she asked him in a soft tone from the darkness of her hood, the kind of tone that would make him try hard to listen. It was just a bit more than a whisper, and Robin never was one to speak loudly. As she waited for his response, she folded her hands across her chest.

Sevvyn Thurn

Out of the very mist itself, a stumbling Sev could easily be seen. Nearly bumping into everything as he made his way to the front door. He pulled, then pushed the door open. His mind was fuzzy from fumbling around the village without being able see but a few feet in front of him.

Not a few moments before, Sev could have sworn he had seen Kaizen and Yamatano. He wondered if they were just returning from a mission, it had been too long. But at the sight of the secretary, apparently in a bad mood, Sev decided just to wait in the lobby. He still wasn't sure of himself outside of Konoha, not just yet.

As the apparition of Luo and the young girl brushed past Kaizen with a stare that seemed to denote that he should stay there, the clone left and headed for Kiri lake. It was at that moment that one of the wooden panels next to the book case on the left of the office made a noise like a latch popping out of place. As the panel rose forward, a tender hand emerged clutching its side as he slid it away. What was to be revealed, was the real Mizukage as he stepped out and closed the secret panel. Having decided since his vessel touched water country to take the back routes, it seemed that he had luckily saved enough time to meet everyone who had come to see him.

Stepping in front of his desk, Luo looked around the room as he motioned for the two youths to step in fully and close the door. He then muttered in his usual manner of speaking, "You two are late." Of course Luo knew that he too was very much late just by being barely on time in his own office, however for him to reveal that he was late and not there would only serve to cause others to wonder just where he might have been. Walking towards the two chuunin, Luo stopped momentarily to give a slight bow of the head to Robin. In his last year of exile deep within the rain forests of Kiri, Luo had come across the secret of the council's hidden elite hunter-nin. Upon happening on this situation, Luo sent messages back to his former sensei and kage about the situation using his new affinity for shark summoning as a means of getting them there. Having faith in Luo, the old man trusted him and set up a counter-squad to track their movement. After eight months, the underground squad was disbanded and the council was forced to elect new members. It was well known to the members of the elite hunter-nin just who set them free.

As Luo stopped in front of Kaizen and Yamatano, he looked them over for a moment before a light smile crept up his face. "You've both grown more than I could've thought since your first mission." He seemed lost in thought for a moment as he stared blankly at them both before finally holding his hand out for the mission report muttering once more, "Well out with it then, what is the light synopsis of the mission I sent you two on?"

“Those who dare bring harm to my friends, my village, and my way of life…”

xxxxAs the woman approached Yamatano, he sensed that he was in no danger. Despite this, he had a quizzical expression on his face as she encircled him, observing him. To what end, he did not know, sincerely hoping it wasnt looking for weaknesses. As she voiced her barely audible question, Yamatano responded with"Lord Mizukage? Funny you should mention that, we were als-"

Yamatano was suddenly cut off as none other than the Mizukage himself entered from seemingly nowhere. Yamatano was quite surprised, though he shouldnt be. After all, he was Mizukage, and this was his office. There were probably more than a few secrets within it. Entering the room with Kaizen, Yamatano bowed a deep bow to the Mizukage, then stepped aside to allow Kaizen to explain the mission, still eyeing the newcomer out of the corner of his eye.

~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, out in the hallway, the Mizukage's secretary came back with a new cup of coffee, the last one having been secretly spiked by Dr. Lothar, giving her a major headache. Looking for a way to vent her frustrations, she noticed the silver haired youth standing outside the door, different from the other silver haired delinquent who annoyed her to no end. But just the sigh of that silver hair sent her into one of her nagging fits, something that came naturally to her. "Young man, dont just stand outside the Mizukage's door like that. If you have buisness with him, go up and knock, and wait patiently! And stop slouching like that with your hand on your sword! You children need to learn better posture....." Several other workers quickly filed out of the room to the lower levels of the tower, unable to bear that whiny voice any longer.
“…Must first find out how to get past me.”
"Lord Mizukage," she stated as she got on one knee, placing her right fist on the ground while her left hand rested on her knee. The black cloack on her simply made it out to be a big blob of darkness being illuminated slightly by the moon's light shining through the window. It had been far too long since she had seen him, two years to be exact. Even from this point, Robin could tell that Luo has turn into a strong young man, and a handsome one as that. Robin will always have a place in her heart for him, not of love, but as her saviour. It was Luo who freed her from the darkness, from the monster she had become. It was he who pushed her into the light, and it was him who saved her from everyday torment.
Looking up at him from the darkness within her hood, she stopped before listening in on what he had just asked. As he posed his question to the two young shinobis, she interupted politely. "Lord Mizukage, I just wanted to give my apologies for being away for so long, but I have taken out the list of rogues that you gave me. It was a while before I could find them, but now I have returned to continue my duties as a hunter nin of Kirigakure," she told him before bowing her head once more. She had finished what she wanted to say and will await for any further instruction. Though she wished to get back to training herself as soon as possible, either that or she wondered if the Lord Mizukage had any new targets for her to take out.
Looking down towards Robin, Luo nodded a bit as if affirming her action. It was something that was not only deemed respectful especially for someone of her strength and rank, but would serve to show how much the woman truly cared. Motioning with his right hand for her to rise, Luo listened to her speak about the missions he had sent her on and how she'd been running late on her return to the village. It was at this time that Luo took the opportunity to reveal to her the new rank she had achieved while she was away, deemed capable of said position by both Luo and the new council. "Well Robin don't be too worried. As the new sannin of Kirigakure, you have free reign to choose when you wish to return. But thank you nonetheless for completing those missions."
Taking a moment to breath albeit silently, Luo lifted the hat from his head allowing it to slink back into its usual position on his back, the blue silk strap hanging around his neck. Shaking his head once and slightly, his dark hair fell into its rightful place, the bangs on his face threatening to cover his stark midnight blue eyes from view entirely. Running a hand through each side, he pushed the hair behind his ears neatly. If anyone were astute enough to notice, his left hand in that motion had a light cut that ran from the side of his wrist to his thumb. It was something that wasn't there before clearly, and it denoted that the normally meticulous and careful youth had been doing something out of the ordinary as far as his job went; his desk job at least.
"Well Robin, to be honest I'm happy you and Yamatano are here in the same room. He's officially an apprentice hunter-nin and I need you to train him in the hunter-nin style of our village. Furthermore, you are officially the head of the hunter-nin of Kirigakure. No better place for the head of the elite squad of hunters to hide than in plain sight by my side. You may train at your own leisure when you leave this office, but once you are done begin training your new apprentice. It'll be you two that I send on the next assassination mission, so I expect by then he'll be where he should as far as skill is concerned."
xxxxAt Luo's words, Yamatano turned his head toward the woman, eyes widened........well, the one eye that was not hidden behind his horned headband, at least, was widened. Here, in the span of a minute, he had thought this woman to be a possible threat, then a causal, albiet shy, civilian looking for the Mizukage, now she was Saanin, new head of the Kirigakure Oinin, and head of some elite squad of Oinin. Of course, Yamatano shouldve expected a secret organization within the hunter nins - after all, what organization in Kirigakure was more secret than they were - but still, to have the head of that squadron, the strongest Oinin in Kirigakure, was a bit overwhelming.
Getting down on one knee to his new hero, Yamatano bowed his head, exclaiming
"Lady Robin-sama, it is an honor to meet you! Forgive my rudeness earlier, and please teach me the ways of the Oinin!" He hoped he hadnt come off too strong, but he couldnt help himself; inwardly, he was grinning like a madman at the prospect of finally realizing his dream, of becoming the shadow of death that kept Kirigakure the mightiest village in all the nations, of becoming an Oinin.
Robin rose up as he ordered her to, but was truly in shock when he had told her that she was now a Saanin of Kirigakure. It was truly an honor to hold that title, it didn't mean that she was power, power was not everything. It meant that she was a trusted member of Kirigakure and despite her past, Robin was now in a position in which others could look up to. As she continued watching Luo, she noticed something that she did not remember being there. He had a light cut that ran from the side of his wrist to his thumb. What was the Mizukage doing that got him that cut? Kages very rarely fought, or performed missions, they ussually just stayed behind doing paperwork. She coudn't even think about how incredibly dull that kind of life is.
As he continued speaking, he began talking about a boy named Yamatano, an apprentice hunter-nin. Looking around the room, she assumed that Yamatano was the boy with the mask. He seemed like he had the potential and the build to be a great assassin. As she was named the Head of the Hunter-Nins, she couldn't help but feel shocked by this. She had never trained anyone, never took someone on as a student. She was simply an assassin, a killer, not a teacher. "You wish for me to take on a student?" she asked, still bewildered by this decision. The shock passed though as she took a step forward and now stood beside him. That was when Yamatano refered to her as Lady Robin-Sama, getting down on his knee and bowing to him. She was rather uncomfortable with this, not because of it was him, but because she simply wasn't used to it. She had never held such a position over others, so this was all new to her. "Mizukage-sama, it would seem that manners have not been lost in this new generation of shinobi," she stated simply from the darkness of the hood of ther robe. "Yamatano was it? Believe me when I say, the honor is mine to train one with much potential. If the Lord Mizukage thinks so highly of you, then I guess you can survive the exact training that I went through. With the Mizukage's permission, I would like us to take our leave and commence training as soon as possible...?" Robin asked, wanting to begin as soon as possible. She was rather excited to begin this boy's training, for he will train him in the same Hellish way she was trained twisted
Walking back to his desk Luo sighed a bit as he sat. He seemed to write something on three separate pieces of paper, rolling it up and sealing it with the seal of the Mizukage before handing them off to courier hawks. As they flew away, Luo looked back at the two with a slight shake of the head. "I'm afraid I need you two to head up to water country. The ANBU should have some mission reports from the last one still lying around, but the general gist is that mist country is on the border of being overrun with the undead via biological mutation. They threaten the very gates of Kirigakure, and I need them gone and fast. I suspect a cure is being worked on but with you Robin out there, I can gather that you may be able to come up with one faster than the research team at Kiri hospital could ever hope to. It would also give you a chance to see just where Yamatano is at as far as his training is concerned."
Looking at the silver-haired boy for a moment Luo sighed under his breath as he muttered almost out of pity, "He may not last as long as you or I did in that era of training. I'd prefer if he were kept alive if possible. I don't think the Hatake clan would enjoy the future head of their clan's downfall to be from a simple training exercise." As Luo spoke, he let a little information slip on purpose. Yama had no idea that he was in the running for the position or even chosen to be the head of his clan. However, but letting it leak Luo knew that Yamatano would gain a boost of confidence. Perhaps enough to get him through whatever waited for him in water country.
“Those who dare bring harm to my friends, my village, and my way of life…”
xxxxYamatano, still kneeling on the floor, listened with extreme interest, especially at the "overrun by undead" part. Kirigakure being overrun? Never while Yamatano could still fight!
There was one thing, however, that broke Yamatano's bow and had him gaping at the Mizukage, his open mouth evident even beneath his hatake mask.
"C-C-C-C-CLAN HEAD?!?!?!?" Yamatano exclaimed, unable to beileve his ears. How was he in the running for next clan head? Sure his father, the current head, was getting up there, being in his mid-forties, but Yamatano had alwas figured the old man would kep going till he was on fumes, and then keep pressing on. And what of his sister, Leiko, possibly the only woman in Kirigakure who matched the Mizukage's secretary in terms of b!tchiness, but two years older than him, despite being a chuunin as well. Sure, they proclaimed Yamatano to be an extremely gifted child, but clan head material at this age? It was such an honor, such a priveledge, such a-
"Him? Oh, good one, mizukage! Ahahaha!"
Yamatano's face morphed to a scowl as his ever present companion slithered out of his pocket, where he had been taking a nap, and up to the great mass of gravity defying silver softness, also known as Yamatano's hair. The small, 18 inch snake, named Kuro, was Yamatano's regular summoning familiar, and despite being the son of Manda himself (explaining why he looked just like him) was the laziest SOB you would ever meet. "Him as clan head? But look at him, he's not even a full Oinin, how can he gUUAAAK!" Kuro yelled as Yamatano grabbed both ends of him and began streching him in annoyance, earning quite a few shouts from kuro, and a sweatdrop from anyone passing by.
"I was beggining to wonder why it was a little too quite when I entered the village," Robin analyzed as she hid her arms within her robe. "A viral infection? I guess it would be best if I go and investigate. I may not be the perfect medical ninja, but I have had more training than most," Robin said as she watched curiously the young boy getting so bent out of shape about the snake's comments. She almost let out a chuckle had she not caught herself. "Well, child, if you are finished wrestling with your snake, then I suggest we get going. Are you ready to head out?" Robin asked as she turned back to the Kage. "Sir, should we head to the gates and await further orders?" she asked. This was indeed a dire situation...a viral infection that causes the undead to rise, it was an interesting turn of events indeed. She wouldn't mind having a test subject to experiment on back at the training facility.
((Ahh so active... love it mrgreen ))
The sound of the secretary's voice sent an awkward shiver down Sev's spine. He twitched, cracked his neck, and sighed before relaxing once more. Not wanting to be the victim of more criticism, Sev straightened his back and stood. Step by step he slowly made his way to the Mizukage's office, he was always so unsure about it. With a subtle, but quick knock, Sev tapped the door. The sound was quiet, but loud enough to easily be heard by all inside the room.
Not wanting to be an annoyance, Sev was hesitant. But being here without meeting with the Mizukage was inexcusable. "Mizukage-sama? It's me... er... Sevvyn Thurn. The ninja from Konoha, I was here a long while back with Fordon-sempai." He wasn't sure what else to say outside a door. He sighed, waiting anxiously.
