Oro and Schwarz let out a sigh at Grimm's question, "yes..." remembering their two expiriences so far, they never liked big cities to begin with, so they were not looking forward to another trip.
Just then there was a loud noise at the at the entrance, Schwarz smirked and walked off to answer, "I'll get it." he opened the door a crack and poked his head outside to find an unconcious guard and a weird looking... elf. Schwarz took a sip of tea and looked at the odd man with a smile, "Wow. Nice way to make a scene, young laddie. May I help ya, in someway or another?"

((...Easy there. We're trying to get Vance in. I just think you're going a little too quickly. confused I, er, suggest you edit to fit the situation more.))
Azriel began to look nervous and sweat a little. "I wonder if it's any safe for me to go back into that city..."
Oscuro grinned. "After that whole Spiritua bit, the King included you among those pardoned, remember?"
Azriel's nervousness vanished, and she grinned as well. "Oh yeah! In that case, we can definitely go back!"
All of a sudden, a panicked guard dashed past Schwarz and then past the group, heading straight for the Elder's room. "Elder sir! Someone hostile has just entered the village! He just throttled a guard at the gate!"
The Elder cleared his throat and grumbled. "Very well, I have to see what this is all about..." He was helped up and led out of his room by the guard to go confront this "hostile person" outside, and saw the incapacitated guard sprawled out on the ground. "Er-hem! I beg your pardon, but what is the meaning of this?" he asked sternly, an eyebrow raised sharply at the dark-skinned man.
"Excuse me for a second..." Azriel nodded and went to the window by Schwarz to watch, curious as to what was going on herself.

The mysterious man looked at the elder and grinned a bit.
The guard wouldn't let me into my hometown, so I had to use force. That's about it.
He took a few steps forward and looked the elder in the eye.
I feel like I know you....

((Neverwinter, I still suggest you edit to fit the situation... This new character is trying to get settled in and join the crew, but it's like you're forcing the others into another situation all too quickly.))
As the stranger stared him in the eye, the Elder just squinted. His vision wasn't clear, which made him realize his spectacles weren't on. They were hanging off the collar of his robe. He took a second to put them on, but even with his vision clearer, he couldn't quite recognize the man. He furrowed his brow and stroked his beard thoughtfully.
"I am sorry, but my memory still fails me. I am getting on in years after all... And would you mind telling me why exactly you needed to use force to enter?"

The man chuckled a bit and took his hat off.
You don't remember me? That kinda hurts, Shade. And I had to use force because he wouldn't listen to me when I told him I was an elf...I used to live here too...

The Elder looked a little startled at being called that nickname. "Shade"...it's been a long time since he was called that...a very long time... He tilted his head and sort of gave him the odd eye, thinking.
"...Rhone? My word, it's no wonder why the guard didn't recognize you! You look quite different from the last time I've seen you! He must have grated your nerves calling names...I suppose I still have a thing or two to teach about making assumptions based solely on appearance..." He glared at the guard in question, who had just been helped back up to his feet. The guard hung his head in shame. "But it seems you haven't aged a bit... Would you mind telling me what's going on? Oh, come in! Have a seat." He gestured with his staff toward the lobby.
Azriel raised her eyebrows, surprised to find that this stranger was actually well acquainted with the Elder. Seeing as that was the case, she didn't think he was too much to worry about now. She turned and went back to the table the group was at.

Rhone smiled and put his hat back on. He then proceeded to walk back inside with the elder.
Old friend, it's a looooooong story. ^_^" And don't be too hard on the guard, okay? He was just doing his job and I think an energy knuckle to the noggin is punishment enough. Last time I saw you you were...well...my age...but I see you've become the elder. That's good. ^_^ I wonder what else has changed since I've been gone...

"Well he isn't an enemy," Schwarz walked back to the group and sat down on the floor next to Oro's chair, "still... he definetly seems like a freak," Oro proceeded to pour of what was left of his tea left on his brother's head. "HOT! HOT! HOT!"

Azriel grinned and said jokingly, "Oh come on, Schwarz, how can you say something like that after hanging around me? I don't fit the standards of a normal appearance either." She pointed at her asymmetrical wings with her thumb. "Although...I do wonder how his skin got so dark..."
The Elder smirked as he led Rhone to a table situated nearby the group's. "Ah, well...I have adopted a young man, who I'm raising to be my successor...speaking of which, I wonder where he is. I thought he was with his friends here..." He looked around, finding it a little off that he wasn't with the group right now.
Overhearing, Azriel stood up and gave him a slight bow. "If you don't mind me interrupting, sir, Cain passed out. I guess he's all tired out from the current events. Cinkel took him to his house."
The Elder sighed, then nodded at her. "...I see. Thank you for informing me, Miss Azriel."
Azriel returned the nod and took it as a cue to take her seat with the group again.
Finally at the table, the Elder sat down cross-legged at one end and gestured for Rhone to sit across him. "So, old friend, where would you like to begin?"

Hmm...I suppose I'll start the day I left. I wandered around for a while and eventually met this girl. Her name was Aurelia. We traveled for some time together. I do miss her....
Rhone tipped his hat over his eyes as if to show respect.

The Elder recognized such body language. He bowed his head and responded in a low, hushed voice, "I see. My condolences..." After a moment of silence, he continued, in the same low tone in case this were something Rhone wanted to keep a secret, "If you don't mind, I'd like to get to the point now...I'm just curious. If I recall correctly, the last time we had seen each other was 900 years ago. Yet you seem to have not aged...what went on during your travels? Does it perhaps have to do with your, eh, sharply changed appearance?"
Azriel herself was quite curious about this mysterious Rhone. She poured herself another cup of tea and sipped at it slowly, listening to her otherselves verbally lay out exactly what she was thinking in her mindspace.
Oscuro grinned mischievously. "Oh, c'mon, it's not like a little eavesdropping really hurts anyone. You just have to...y'know, try not to get caught."
Chiaro smacked her upside the head and glared at her. "It's more an issue of respect, Oscuro."

-sigh- Well we had taken a job hunting down a powerful magic user. When we found him, he took Aurelia over and sent her against me....I had to kill her. She was released from his mind control just before she died...she said I did the right thing but I still don't know. I took her hat as a memento of our time together.
Anyway, this didn't sit well with me, so I started searching for a way to avenge my fallen love. I found help with experimental magic. A way to make an exsphere without using human lives. It worked, but when I fought and defeated the magic user, the exsphere backfired and mutated me. Now, I look like this, but my exsphere has been greatly enhanced. Not only that, but my aging has stopped...I don't understand fully myself...

The Elder nodded attentively throughout Rhone's story. "Again, you have my condolences. Experimental magic, hmm...that's rather intriguing..." He began to stroke his beard. "It appears you've found a breakthrough, though! Creating an Exsphere without resorting to those gruesome methods..."
Rhone has spoken in enough of a normal tone for Azriel to overhear, but she continued keeping a normal composure so as to make it look like she wasn't listening. Her otherselves, however, expressed themselves freely. As she listened to them, she began to look very contemplative.
"Could it be...someone's finally matched Master Eloysio's goal?" Chiaro mused.
"Perish the thought!" Oscuro spat, not wanting to hear their creator's work being undermined. Even after he's been long dead, she (as well as Chiaro) still had a great loyalty to him. "Besides, he said it backfired on him..."
"But it still enhances his power. I don't call that a complete failure."
"Then what does that make us?!"
Chiaro smacked her on the cheek. "Stop jumping to conclusions. I wasn't implying we're complete failures either. We are still a help to Azriel. But as it stands...the collar really is still an unfinished product..."
