Azrael smiled and a strip of meat. He swallowed and looked to Mara. "Glad to hear it." Azrael said. "I am in a good mood because it is a good day to be in a good mood!" He said.
Shinn smelled food and squeezed in between Azrael and Miluiel. He picked a piece of meat up and gobbled it happily.
Azrael patted Shinn on the pack and then sniffed him, and pulled his head back. "I think that we're going to have to give you a bath today Shinn." He said softly.
"Awww..." Shinn said. "I don't wanna bath! The soap feel weird in my fur, and it smells funny!" He protested. "I wanna go swimming instead."
Azrael chuckled. "It is too cold for you to go swimming, Shinn." He explained. "And it the soap is for making you smell better. Your getting a bath today, and that is final." He said, ending the argument. "You don't want to smell bad in front of the Elders tonight, do you?" He asked. Shinn shook his head and sulked, taking another piece of meat and eating it.

"Indeed, today is a day to rejoice and celebrate!" She said hugging Azrael, and giggling with delight. "It will be lovely." The question appeared what would they be doing after the ceremony? Would Azrael and Shinn be well enough to join in festivities? Was Shinn going to change as well tonight? Miluiel pondered her questions for a moment, but came up with nothing.
Miluiel blushed slightly. "How do you bathe here?" She asked, knowing she probably smelled pretty awful herself. Her hair was a dirty mess too. She smiled at Shinn. "A bath is not so bad little one." She told him. "I love taking baths, they are very relaxing." She found herself day dreaming now about a nice warm bath.
Tanis held her to him. "Dear, if it takes too much energy please let me help." he said breathing gently into her hair. He held her protectively. "Yes, even if you are not a standing audience then I think it would be a good plan for you to sit, if that will work for their customs." Tanis shrugged, "I don't know much about the were wolves and their customs."

"I'm going to to get the water on the fire in the central room." He said. "You can see what we have to offer for bathing, as I wash Shinn." He said. He nodded and stood up. "I'll be back shortly." He said and left the room. He found a large tub for water, filled it and grabbed braces for the tub to set over the fire. He got the tub set up and returned. "It'll be ready in a few minutes." He said sitting back down.

Miluiel nodded. "Very interesting. If it won't bother Shinn I would love to see how it works." She looked at Shinn as if asking for his permission. She knew she preferred privacy when taking a bath. She guess that maybe Shinn would feel the same. She didn't want him uncomfortable. "What do you use for soap?" She asked curiously.

Shinn looked at Miluiel and nodded softly. "Okay..." He said.
Azrael patted his son's back. "It'll be a good learning experience for you Miluiel, though fair warning... you may get wet." He said with a chuckle.
Mazzia yawned and stretched. In her full werewolf form, her dark colored fur took an attractive sheen in the firelight. "I'm going to get some air, Veral." She told him. Veral nodded in acknowledgment but remained sitting, still resting. Mazzia flashed a wolf grin and the exited the guest den, she saw the tub warming over the fire and smiled. Shinn would be getting a bath. Mazzia stepped outside of the house and looked up at the morning sky, her snout turned up into the air, as if searching for something.

Helena only buried her head into Tanis’ chest as tears began to fall. She knew if she took any energy from him it’d surely kill Tanis and she could not risk the life of her love. She did not want to lose the life of someone she loved so dearly. “I can’t…take your energy knowing it would kill you.” Her words were pain filled as she didn’t want to hurt him nor kill him.
“Hey Mazzia, what in the world happened here? Is there anyone hurt? Anyone I can heal in fact? I heard we had a half-dragon is here and an angel lady that healed the forest. I saw it on my way back to the village only to find it destroyed partially! What happened?! Is the half-dragon alright, cause I think if that person fought. They’re going to need energy in the worst kind of way and I might be the werewolf to help them!” Karen would beam with a look of adventure on her face as she stood there outside in the snow dressed in furs looking at Mazzia. She knew something was wrong just by how things looked.

Mazzia blinked. "Karen! I am so glad to see that you are unharmed!" She said. Mazzia looked at her with sad eyes. "The village was attacked by a green dragon last night." She said softly. "Yes there is a half-dragon who is need of help... I was busy healing all of yesterday, and I would have gone to her but... my strength must recover naturally." She said. "There are also two others, the angel of whom you speak as well as another, who I'm not sure what he is... they're all in rough shape. The strange one... Veral is well enough to move on his own, but is far from ready, while the others are in rest." She informed her. "I..... I may not be here too long..." She added softly, a tear forming in her eye.

Miluiel giggled, "Getting wet is not a worry to me, my only worry is that after bathing my hair may freeze." She laughed softly, remembering a time a long while back when that had actually happened. "Do you shake yourself often there little one?" She asked poking his nose playfully.
Tanis stroked his fingers though her hair. "Dear, why are you crying?" he asked trying to calm her. "Do not cry. I didn't task you to take my energy. Are you sure that you are feeling well?" He asked patting her back.

“I’ll attend this half-dragon. I think I can handle her without killing myself. I think if she tries to take anyone’s energy it is likely she’ll kill him or her. I might have the spell or potion to help her. Please show me where the dragon lady is. I’ll take care of her!” Karen would roll up her sleeves to show she was ready to work as she came to her friend and patted her on the shoulder. “My friend even if you must leave know that the world out there is a harsh mistress. I’ve traveled it. It’s not pretty out there, you sure you are ready to leave here?”
Helena gave a slight nod while keeping her head buried in Tanis’ chest. She didn’t know what to do. She was so afraid of losing Tanis that tears just consumed her. She didn’t know why she was crying. “I don’t know why I’m crying…” Her words came out almost wispy as she held onto him still crying. She didn’t know what else to do.

"Azrael says that as well! Though it is more directed toward Shana..." She said. "But I have to Karen... I... I still need to tell my brother but... it is a penance for my crime... I lied to him! And that lie led so more harm from the attack she said." Mazzia sniffed with a few tears and then hardened. "Here, follow me. I'll take you to Helena, the half-dragon." She said leading her into the house and into the guest den where Helena and Tanis were. "Right here." She said.
Azrael smiled. "Its warm enough in the main room to prevent that from happening." He assured her.
Shinn nodded and giggled. "Yeah! I do!" He told her.

Tanis smiled sadly. He stroked her hair. "Please Helena, stop those tears." He kissed her head. "Dear, nothing will happen to me. You will not take my energy. Please do not worry about it."
Miluiel laughed. "That must be the best part." She giggled. "Shaking off." She hugged him, "I thank you for allowing me to be with you." She smiled happy to have them with her, and for her to be with them.

Karen kept her sleeves rolled up as she flashed a toothy grin at Tanis and Helena. “Greetings, I am Karen. I shall be the one helping this Half-dragon. Now let’s see…have her drink this. It should restore her energies if not I’ll try a healing spell. I think her energy is being blocked because of the battle she was in.” Karen was highly experienced as a healer, almost as experienced as Mazzia but with more worldly knowledge to back her.
Helena nodded again as she tried her best to stop crying. She didn’t hear Karen as she spoke or take the potion. She didn’t know who she was as she looked at her. Helena only stared at her as she sat there in Tanis’ arms. “Who are you again?”

Tanis smiled at the woman, Karen. "Thank you ma'am." he said smiling at her. Tanis took the potion from Karen. "This is Karen Helena." he said rubbing her shoulder with one hand. She is going to help you feel better."

Helena would nod as she looked at Tanis then to the potion. She’d carefully take it from his hands as she sniffed the contents of it almost instantly wrinkling her nose at it. She didn’t like the smell of it, but she figured it would be better than going without energy at all. There had to be a block on her energy as she downed the potion almost in several gulps.
“Careful, don’t want you choking on it. That should help your natural energies return. Now for me to speed that along, this shouldn’t take long.” Karen would place her hand on Helena’s shoulder as she smiled a healing energy passing from Karen to Helena. It was a soft and loving glow that would stop within moments to allow Helena the chance to recover the energy lost bodily on her own.
"I wonder Celeron, what sort of life we can have once leaving here. I hope it is better. I truly do. I fear what things may try to come after us once we leave." Shera shuddered as she kept her chin on his arm. She didn't like being in the dark about anything, especially with their lives possibly in danger. She couldn't knowingly put him in any as she placed her hands on his cheeks and leaned up to kiss him upon the lips.

Celeron heard her words and frowned as their lips touched.
"I can tell you how it is Shera my love. Our life will never be truly happy until every demon has been extinguished from the mortal realm." Celeron said gravely. "All we can hope for is a few moments of peace in between demons to recover from our fights."
