Reiko blinked when she was addressed by another new face, offering a kind smile to the girl there, she nodded and stopped playing with her hair. "I just arrived here last night... I don't recall seeing you when I came in though... my name is Sawaii Reiko... it's nice to meet you." And as was customary she offered a small bow of greeting to the fellow maid there. No doubt that one too was desiring to become a Geisha.

Luna stopped her dance catchign and folding up the fan, she'd never been happier, or so that was how she felt. Luna knelt down and leaned back against the tree to rest her eye closing as she took a few deep breaths and smiled humming a tune to herself enjoying the soft breeze on her skin as she sat in silence. Both eyes opened as she noticed a bird in the tree above her. "That it! Thats what I'll paint in tomorrow's class for my scenery picture the bird int he Sakura tree with her nest." Luna smiled and laughed quietly to herself.

"It is also my first day here," Reijin replied. "I am Tsukiyono Reijin. It is a pleasure to meet you, Sawaii-san." She returned the customary bow and smiled, then looked around the okiya. "I wonder if we should continue waiting here for instructions, or if we should take it upon ourselves to start working. I would not want to step on anyone's toes."

Reiko smiled somewhat, this girl seemed nice enough, and it would be good to have a friend here. Being as they were both new, it would help to have someone to talk to at night, if sleep ever became something that they would lack. Or someone to simply chatter with during times like this. Reiko never had many friends, at least back home she didn't. "I assumed the orders would be given by someone... and I didn't want to start anything without permission and then get into trouble..." Reiko spoke simply, as she smiled to the girl before she knelt down again. "I think it will be all right if we wait Reijin-chan." All ready so informal with her new friend...

Izumi helps Namari up onto her shoulder and scurries back to the new girls. "Sorry, I'm Izumi. Welcome!" Izumi bows slightly, trying not to throw Namari from her shoulder. "I'm realitively new here too... "
"I've noticed that most of the maids just do whatever they see needs to be done." Namari says, having overheard the girls conversation a moment ago. "Hi, I'm Namari." he bows his head slightly, then points to the two girls cleaning the shelves "thoes are my little sisters. The red-head is Riko/Umi, and the blond is Saiyuri."
The girls stop cleaning at the sound of their names and wave hi to the new girls
namari gives a little nervious laugh "Hope you're not afraid of dolls.." wink Namari taps his mommy on the shoulder and she sets him down onto the floor, he picks up his little broom and goes back to sweeping the corners and other small areas that his mommy can't get to easily.
Izumi bows to the new maids again, more properly this time "If you need anything, feel free to ask. We'll be more than happy to help" heart

"Me? Have an older sister? No, I'm afraid not. I have always wondered what it would be like with one, though. That would be so special. I would love to have an older sister, especially if it were you, Iyasu-san. You would make a fine older sister and anyone would be lucky to be your little sister. Yokome-san is very lucky to have you and whomever you choose to be your second little sister will be just as lucky!" Popo was clueless, yes, but this was not a frequent occurance. She was just high off her still digesting pastry!

Reiko's gaze rose from the wooden floor to the other woman who was speaking, along with her children, or so Reiko assumed. She nodded some in acknowledgement to the woman speaking before offering a smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you all, Izumi-chan, Namari-san, Umi-chan and Saiyuri-chan." She made it a point to speak the names so she would memorize them in due time. "How long have you been here?" Reiko stood then and would go to assist the other maids and the children. Picking up a clean rag she would start to clean the table from the breakfast and clean the dishes at the same time.

Reijin bowed to Izumi, grateful for her assistance. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Izumi-san." She looked to the children and their assorted chores and smiled sweetly, nodding her head in greeting to them. "I am pleased to meet all of you as well, Namari-kun, Umi-chan, Sayuri-chan." Turning her attention back to the maid who had addressed them, she added, "I suppose that I shall go assist Reiko-san in cleaning up the kitchen." Bowing her head, she exited in the direction of the kitchen to begin her task. Reijin picked up a spare rag and looked about the room, deciding where to start. She gathered the remaining dishes that had been used for breakfast, and moved them to the sink basin. Wetting her rag, she then proceeded to wipe down the countertops where food was prepared, noticing a trace smear of sticky bean paste left over from making rice balls. She continued to work quietly, letting her mind wander as her body slipped into the monotonous rhythm of working.

Kyoku stepped thru the doors of the okiya. After a long nights work she was exhausted. Impatient to get to her futon she kicked off her zori near the door and walked towards the stairs, undoing the broach on her obijime.
"Maid! Someone bring me some tea in my bedroom!" Kyoku called down the hallway right as she turned to walke up the stairs.

Izumi hands Namari a tray with some tea on it, and he scurries up the stairs to deliver the tea to the awaiting Maiko-san or Geiko-san (geiko = Kyoto dialect for geisha)
Izumi helps her girls off the shelves, trying to remember just how long she HAD been here.. Honestly, she couldn't remember.. a few weeks at most
Slowly makeing his way up the stairs, setting the tray down on the highest step he can, then climbing up next to it, he slowly, but surely gets his 60cm (2ft) tall resin self up to the desired location, happy his mommy made the tea extra hot so it will be the perfect temprature when he gets to the awaiting Maiko-san or Geiko-san
Namari sets down the tray of tea in the Maiko-san's or Geiko-san's room, bowing politely "Is there anything else I can get for you Ma'am?"

She smiled softly and shook her head, whatever was in the pastry it left Tanpopo with a dizzying side effect. The damage had been done and hopefully the good news would leave her with a new high.
"Popo-chan, I've chosen you to be my younger sister." Iyasu sipped her tea and listened closely for those who might be near by. Someone had entered into the okiya and it sounded like her Onee-san. A gentle smile came to her face as memories flooded the streets of her mind.

Rude... Reiko thought to herself as she heard the Geisha stumbling in from a long night of elegant parties at teahouses. Oh what she would give to be a Geisha... she would not order people around like that, that was for sure. She made a mental note of that, to act approprietely with the maids.
After she had finished with the dishes and the table she went to arrange the shoes in proper order. The Geisha that had come in ruined everything there with kicking off her shoes, so Reiko took to rearranging them, outside shoes, inside shoes, maiko shoes, geisha shoes, maid shoes, all were in proper order when she was finished, and she smiled at her satisfactory work.

"Me?! Iyasu-san, are you sure? Surely there is a better maiko around to choose! I'm silly, naive, young, and unsure. Are you sure that I am ready or fit, Iyasu-san?" Tanpopo looked down with a few tears forming in her eyes, "I don't want to disappoint you, Iyasu-san..never..." She stood up and ran to Iyasu's side and hugged her as she began to cry. Popo hated to disappoint anyone, and especially not Iyasu, whom she so strongly looked up to.

"Yes, I'm postive Popo-chan. I will you teach the arts of a geisha and I will not let you go until I think you are ready." She nodded affirmatively and giggled while she returned Tanpopo's hug. "Do not worry, I have faith in you."

Luna entered the hall in time to see the beautiful Geisha, Kyoku, enter. 'What I wouldn't do to be like her.' Luna let the thought bring a smile to her gentle face, a maiko was still supposed to help out. Luna headed up and stopped at the Geisha's room speaking quietly yet holding her head hight.
"Excuse me, You are Kyoku-sama correct?" She had yet to meet any of the Geisha here and was still unsure how to present herself other than to bow low showing her high respect for the other woman.
