Speaking of animation, I have to say that I actually really like Xiaolin Showdown when it's not one of the earlier episodes. It has this strange acquired-taste charm.
Foster's is still the best.
I'm surprised anyone can tell what the singers are saying in the Ben Ten theme song.

(sorry I know I'm coming in late to theis convo) ^_^ huzzah for Yu-Gi-Oh! Abridged version! It's kinda sad when the spoof is better then the original show...
As for Ben Ten... I refuse to watch that thing. That and most other new TV shows in general. The most hated of all though are the cartoons. These things are so DUMB! GRR! Then again considering I like shows like The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, I probably shouldn't be bashing the 'stupid shows'...but come on! Billy and Mandy has mythological references and hundreds of pop culture in jokes ranging from the repeated use of Blackula (claiming he is in fact the original dracula) and the semi-secret use of Optimus Prime! Bottom line, I've had it with these lame cartoons like Ben Ten, Martin Mystery and such. There are a couple gems out there, but seriously, when did society decide that kids weren't smart enough for shows like The Tick anymore? Come on people! What other show has Joesph Stalin's lookalike as a super villain? These new shows once more make me glad I don't have cable...or satelite...or...anything razz

Billy and Mandy disproved its irredeemable status with the line describing Billy's Mom as "ancient and grappling with the onset of menopause." Also, responding to Grim pointing to Bride of Frankenstein and saying "Do you know who this is?!" with "...your momma?" was surprisingly funny in an "out of left field" way. Any episode with Blackula is also good.
It overuses gross humor though. It has some great episodes, but most episodes aren't too great. As a rule, it's more likely that I won't enjoy an episode than I will.

Dammit.
I was writing out the setting for this new RP which was going to be modern/fantasy, but then I realized that it sounded EXACTLY like "The Covenant" and I refuse to associate myself with that abortion of a bishounen fantasy kawaii squealing fangirls flick.

I didn't get to see The Covenant.
I really wanted to. If only for the action.
Like I saw Fearless. That was a good movie. I don't care what anyone said.
There were parts that almost made me cry. ME. The soulless one.

The Covenant is a movie about four magic teenage boys who have magic powers and are all pale-skin bishounen pretty boys with magic. One of them falls in love with a vacuous idiot girl and tells her that he's magic because apparently mundane teenage hormones win vs. untold centuries of wisdom and knowledge in some sort of pathetic excuse for an internal battle. Then a "new guy" shows up and starts killing/scaring the magic boys into gratuitous special effects sequences. The girl is involved in some very plot device way.
