Dusk was ready to snap at the other before she froze, running to the door, forcing it open. She looked nearly as bad as he did in her black and red dress, glaring daggers at him. “What do you mean something happened?!” If something happened to her Kyoshi… she’d kill people. It didn’t take her any time before she pushed the other out of the way, sprinting to the training grounds. She had warned Kyoshi about some of the elves there… some were Rave’s own protégés and were damn powerful when they wanted to be. Or did he actually fight rave? The man had been moody and the two never did get along since Kyoshi caught Rave kicking her through that window… “What the hell’s going on?!” She entered the training grounds, her hair a mess around her shoulders, shorter than before, but her dress hiked up on her knees. If something bad happened, she wasn’t above killing people…

At the sound of Dusk's Queen voice, or it was the I'm-going-to-kill-people voice, Kyoshi actually stood there with his back to her with all of his squad there in a perfect formation. Each male was organized by height and didn't so much as have one foot out of the formation looking like a military leader's dream group.
Turning around Kyoshi smiled widely at Dusk and walked over to her. "I'll tell you what's going on if you don't yell." Taking advantage he took her hand and got on one knee. "While your huffing and puffing Dusk, I wanted to let you know that without you I would possibly be dead right now or still doing jobs that have no fulfillment. I'm honored to have you in my life. I'm honored that your sharing this part of your life with me and I want to do anything I can to help you shoulder all the burdens. Even though I'm not of elf blood, I'll conform to everything about this great culture just to understand you and everyone here better than anyone outside of this place could...."
He took out a little bluish black velvet box and held it between them. "Aside from that, I love you Dusk and I know I'm not the greatest person in the world but you've done something to me that makes me want to be the greatest person in the world, if only for you. I love you with everything I possess in me, therefore as a sign of my love, would you do me the honor of marrying me?" He opened the box that showed a beautiful engagement ring with a smooth oval shaped ruby stone of the perfect deep red with two smaller oval shaped garnets on each side of the ruby encased on a silver band with smaller diamonds around the band. The men behind Kyoshi all smiled widely, having grown to like the scowling male since they respected the fact that unlike some, Kyoshi got down and dirty with them.

Dusk was pissed.
Seeing that nothing was wrong at all and that she had been sent down there for what she thought was nothing, the woman was ready to blow. “What the hell is thi-!? Wait… What are you doing?” Blinking, surprise was on her features as she watched Kyoshi get down on one knee. She had seen this before in movies and in books and with other’s words, but it didn’t click until Kyoshi reached into his pocket and then the words began to click. There was no way that this was true… it was impossible. Her badass killer for hire couldn’t be proposing to her, the queen of thieves (A name Ziggy and Talon had given her recently), but there he was… down on one knee and then the ring was shown and Dusk covered her mouth.
“Y-You… You’re…” She looked up at the men, noticing the grins and knowing that this wasn’t a joke. “Y-You all are d-dismissed…” Were those tears? Oh like hell, that wasn’t going to happen! She wasn’t going to start crying and be the stereotypical woman and there she went, she was crying.
Arms wrapping around the other, she clung to the man with another smile before nodding rapidly. “I-I do want to m-marry you… I… do, yeah.” Dusk smiled, not bothering with the ring as she was hugging her lover tightly, happy that he’d do something like this. Actually, she never thought that Kyoshi would do something like this, knowing that the two were so different, so at one another’s throats when it came down to certain situations, but there wasn’t a single being out there that she’d rather be with. “I love you, Kyoshi.”

The men all bowed to the Queen when she told them that they were dismissed but witness her accepting the prospose before disbanding away from them to give respect to their privacy.
Kyoshi laughed softly and wrapped his arms around Dusk holding her tightly against him. "I love you too Dusk." He kissed her softly, stroking her hair gently. "You've made me happy right now Dusk." He whispered against her lips. "More so by your acceptance. I swear on my heart that I will make you happy beyond anyone's dream...Your my other half Dusk." Those were raw feelings that he had been admitting to himself once all the drama cooled down.
"Accept my ring as a token. It's the only thing physical that I can show for it since I can't take out my heart to present to you." Which would be sweet but in a cannibalistic kind of way.

Still clinging close to him, Dusk nodded as she sniffled a bit, laughing some at herself. “I can’t believe I’m acting like this…” but then the ring was on her finger and she felt like jumping for joy. Could it be that this was real? No, Dusk knew that this couldn’t be real. There wasn’t a chance that something like this would happen, but watching him, she knew that it had to be real. In fact, as she leaned down and kissed him again, bringing him close, Dusk prayed that the moment wouldn’t stop. Never before had she felt this happy, this perfect. To hear that she made Kyoshi happy? Dusk laughed, “I give you headaches and make your hair gray instead of that beautiful silver…” She touched his hair, smiling at him before shaking her head some.
“Are you… Are you sure about this? I… I don’t know what we’d do for a marriage and… and a-are you sure that this is good? I mean… Hell, I’ve only been to one wedding and we all know how that turned… For some reason, some people decided to crash it with guns blazing…” A smirk was on her features as she shook her head, kissing him again. Why was she so… giddy? It was so weird… not at all like her.

Kyoshi rolled his eyes. "Sweetheart, I'm not so hot in preventing you some graying hair but I'll do my best to make you smile just as much as getting pissed off." Meaning a marriage was just something that bound them together to let everyone know that they belonged to each other. Nothing would change other that they were partners for life, Goddess and God permitting, and perhaps little runts coming along later on in life to give them both gray hairs. That would definitely amuse the author greatly.
"Dusk, if I wasn't sure I wouldn't have gone to the damn trouble in asking Rave what your favorite gem was and having your ring made about ten times before it was done right. It was a nightmare but I wanted you to have the most perfect ring. I only envisioned you with something to hold close. Besides that one wedding was a fluke and the groom was all wrong for you. This time your going to have the right groom taking you into marriage without some random, psycho people wanting to crash it with guns and all that silly action stuff." He grinned, already thinking of giving Dusk the biggest and greatest wedding that would be talked about for years to come. Looks like Kyoshi is eager to jump into the wedding plans already.

The woman laughed, covering her face, “I can’t believe this… you actually asked Rave about that?” She laughed again, shaking her head before bringing Kyoshi close and kissing him deeply. “I love you so much… if you want a wedding, then we’ll have a hell of a wedding… and if anyone crashes this one, I’ll personally kill them…” Oh yeah, and Dusk would enjoy every minute of it. Unless it was someone that she liked… because then she would just flip out on then and scream a lot. Maybe do a little maiming… “Now… can we go somewhere to talk about this wedding other than the training area? I think I terrified that servant that went up to my office…”

Laughing, Kyoshi nodded leading them away from their little public spot on the training grounds back towards the palace. "Of course we can talk about it. Though......" He looked slightly bashful at admitting this. "I do have some ideas on what I would like but...I don't know what wedding traditions you have here so we can do that...." So long as he gets to have good food and a wife all at one shot then Kyoshi was a happy man. "Plus, I want it to be a really big wedding where everyone was invited; royal, noble and commoner alike. The reception will be more private for security reasons. Plus Joker's been very adament that he wants to be your head chef for the wedding."
It was a deal he made with the insane doctor to keep that fool's mouth shut since Joker was unnerving in figuring out things. Plus Joker knew a jeweler that would have highly valuable gems for the right price. "But the people you want invited is up to you."

Dusk looked… shocked. “wait, did everyone know this was going to happen besides me?!” She shook her head, sighing some before biting her lip. She couldn’t believe this. how come everyone knew about this besides her? Shaking her head again, Dusk tugged at Kyoshi’s hair before they began to walk into the castle, her hand taking his before she sighed and used the shadows to get them into the inner gardens, a place that she didn’t get to go too often. They were inside the palace, in the inner courtyard that only a few people were allowed in. It was pitch dark save for the glowing trees that were everywhere. It was beautiful. One of her favorite places, actually.
She brought the other to one of the benches, glancing around. “I love coming here… but as for the wedding? We have to make it public because of who we are…. Which sucks… but we can make a party for those that are noble and I have to invite… but then a party, with my out of a wedding gown that I’m going to have to wear,” A look of annoyance was on her face at that, “at Kalore’s or Joker’s or someone’s… and then it’ll just be our friends. That fine with you?”

Kyoshi shook his head, grumbling some. "No...Only me, Rave and Joker knew about this. Everyone else won't know until you tell them or they see the ring." He pointed to it. Having become accustomed to the shadows, he looked around at the glowing trees with a small smile. Kyoshi did enjoy see them glow, sitting down with Dusk on the bench.
"Look all I want it a good wedding for you that you will be happy with. If anything it would help 'politically'," Kyoshi did the quoting with his fingers on that word, "And it would finally help you with all the paper work since I've been allowed into the meetings, walking and working among the people to get an understanding of everything from all sides. However I won't want to take over anything you don't feel right that I should touch. If anything, I would prefer it if Rave took on the really sticky things since he knows more about everything than I do."
Which is saying alot if he's complimenting Rave and showing that silent respect for the elf. "As for guests, for the ceremony we can invite all the top royals from other places and perhaps from the north as a sign of good will. But the reception could be for those select individuals who can stay for a long period of time and just our friends. With a change of clothing for the reception because being in a tuxedo sucks."

Keeping his hands in hers, Dusk shook her head. “I think that the ceremony will be for nobles only but probably be broadcasted everywhere… it’s a big deal, sadly.” She rolled her eyes, sighing again. Unlike the ‘shotgun wedding’ that had been done before, this was one that was meant to be known and meant to be shown off for two people who were in love with one another. Kissing him gently, Dusk continued to smile before shaking her head again. “I think… having a reception, official, will be fine… but that won’t be long. Good thing about elves? They honestly don’t care much about parties when they get to the uppity class… which is why we’ve had, what? One big ball?” She rolled her eyes. They weren’t pompous enough to need it… normally. The north was notorious for long, drawn out things.
“And then we go and have a party with our friends… if you don’t mind having three things that day?” She raised a brow. “I don’t mind because the ceremony will be what? An hour? Maybe two? I doubt that… an hour for the ceremony… maybe two… and then a much more fun event with the friends… What do you think?” She blinked some, watching him. It would be interesting, really. “And… you’re being serious about this, right? We’re going to get married? You in a tux, looking hot, and me stuck in a white dress? Veil, bouquet… everything?”

Kyoshi nodded. "Anything to make this painless for you and easier for both of us. Besides...." The angel leaned back to look Dusk over slowly with mischief. "I can't wait to take off a wedding dress and have our wedding night." As if they don't do more than just sleep in the same bed already. However Dusk did have it sound simple enough.
But as her question on whether he was serious about this he scowled some. "Dusk...I'm not going to skip out on you in our wedding. Unless you have a lover I don't know about who's going to come guns blazing to take you away and kill someone with your bangbangbang thing? If you do, I'll kill the fool before he touches you because I want to be at your side for as long as we are still breathing." He kissed her forehead.
"I know that at some point your going to get old and wither away but for now....I don't want to waste our time together and if it means doing everything normal couples do then I'm game. Hell, I'm so game about getting married to you that I picked out who my damned best man is going to be...." Which was going to be freaking shocking to say the least once his best man and hell he even planned to have a second and third man after the best man.
"Not only that but woman...." He rested his forehead against her's gently, pulling her a bit closer to him. "The idea of you as my wife just sounds so appealing that it's making turn into some poet spitting nerd. I'm already even thinking of what our future, meaning later on when there's no crap going on, kids will look like......And I want them all to look like you with just one of them knowing how to shoot a gun." Which would be freaking hilarious to see a mini Kyoshi running around with a wooden gun.

Dusk laughed softly. It seemed like they weren’t going to let her forget that moment for a while, and the irony was that it had happened at her last ‘wedding’. Hopefully it wouldn’t happen again, but the more that she watched him, the more she realized that she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her long life with him. it was interesting to know that there was still time for her to be ‘immortal’ and that she wouldn’t turn old and gray, so she hoped, but still. Dusk held close to the man before smiling a bit, nodding some. “Kids? Kids… I never thought that I’d ever think of them…” She touched her stomach, having to really think about that. The two had time but now that it was up in the air, the option out there…
She sighed, leaning forward to press their lips together. Dusk decided that if Kyoshi was jumping into this then so would she. “I’ll talk to Kit and Kalore, get some ideas for the dress… and then I’ll figure everything else out.” Another smile and she held him close, soon raising a brow. “You already have a best man? Who?” She blinked, curious. Just who was it?

Kyoshi smiled some and touched her hand that was touching her stomach. "We can have them later Dusk. It might be a while before someone complains that you don't have an heir so...Let's ride it all this out until that time comes around." They have a long enough time, heaven willing, to talk more about that stage of their relationship and life. For now they had a wedding to plan and get through and him having to get used to being a King if that was acceptable.
Thinking on that, this wasn't being done to be King and help Dusk out. This was about him feeling it the right time to do the right thing with Dusk and be someone who will have your back as a partner in a bigger role than anyone ever thought he would be put in but also as a companion because if he wanted to be like some serious lovestruck puppy, he felt as if Dusk completed him. She was what he needed in order to survive.
Sighing softly Kyoshi blinked and scowled at her question. Well it was going to have to be known especially once he asks the damn men to be apart of what he wanted. "I was going to ask Talon if he could be my best man." How ironic that it was the very same man who had been about to marry Dusk a long a** time ago and the very male he didn't like. Ah well, there was respect for the man but that didn't mean they were going to be best friends or anything. "But if something happens to me and him, then Rave will be the second man and Ziggy the third man."
Again how ironic that it was all the guys he didn't like at all and they in turn didn't like him? Ah well, it couldn't have been Joker since he was a lovestruck puppy dog with Kit and he would end up crying in front of Dusk if he was a stand in. That would make the wedding slower.

A small nod came from the woman as s he leaned over and kissed him gently again. “I can’t think of having any children, Kyoshi. I… I’ve always been against it but…” She blinked some, shaking her head. When she was living with Lucien and her father, it was never a thought because Dusk had to wonder if she would actually end up living that long to be able to have them. Then she was on the streets and it wasn’t a question because nothing was stable. Now things were relatively stable, it wasn’t like they didn’t have money, and she was with the one that she loved. Maybe this was for the best? Biting her lip softly, she smiled some before hugging him again. This romantic feeling that she got was beginning to annoy her but oh well. It was sweet.
“Wait… What?!” A grin was on Dusk’s face because at first she thought Kyoshi was kidding. Hearing the rest of the list only magnified that thought but then Kyoshi wasn’t grinning. “Holy s**t, you’re serious…” her eyes remained wide as she watched him. He wanted Talon, Rave, and Ziggy as his men? That just was surprising. “Um… that… that’s shocking.” She blinked more, shaking her head before a smile appeared on her features and she leaned forward, snuggled against him. by now the skirt was practically around her waist, but she was comfortable against him, just relaxed. If someone had a problem with how comfortable she was, she’d just get rid of them. Was that a bit sadistic to do? Oh well.
“I don’t know who I’d have for my maids.” She blinked more, “I know I want Ali as the flower girl… and Alice as one of my maids… and Kit…” But then she hit a wall. She didn’t know all that many women. Gambler would have been asked but… Dusk’s eyes darkened for just a moment before she shook her head, snuggled against him. She’d figure it all out. “And… So… um… how do we announce this? Warning: to all in the elvish land, two unlikely rulers shall now be married and you will finally have a king?” Amusement was in her eyes as she watched him, resting her chin on his shoulder. That would be interesting…
