Black hung his head low when Asami left. He took the knife with him and planned to give it back to her. Then he headed back to the castle, hoping that she would be there. He went into the courtyard and sighed. Where could she have been?

From where she sat on the roof, Sarah could see Black, holding her knife. She had hoped he would have just left it so she could get it later. Now, that wasn't an option. Having to go find a new weapon now, she tried to sneak back out from her hiding place. A few rocks rolled off the roof as she jumped to the next one, hiding as quickly as possible. She prayed he didn't see or hear her. The bounty hunter struggled for a few moments to regain her composure before looking to the next roof in her newly planned path.

Hearing something move, he made the assumption and turned his head. "Sarah!" He shouted, hoping to the God that it was her. "I need to explain something to you. Please, you have to hear it. C'mon..."

She swore under her breath. Knowing him, he would have turned to look for her. And she couldn't get down without him seeing her, now. it would be impossible. Instead, she opted for silence, hoping the b*****d would just go away.

Feeling that she still might have been there, he had to explain himself. "Sarah, that was my friend, Asami. She helped me through a lot, even when you were missing. Her and I go back a while and I thank her and Matachi from keeping me from killing myself when I thought things were hopeless. I would never do anything to hurt you or our child."

The girl listened, unconvinced. She wasn't able to tell exactly where he was, so she couldn't move. The way she had wrapped her dress wasn't meant to be permanent and it was starting to slip. She got a little frantic as she tried to gather it back up out of sight. He couldn't know she was there. Although he was the father of her unborn child, she wanted him gone.

"Sarah, c'mon please you have to believe me. Matachi would tell you the same thing. Asami and I have only ever been friends. Please... come here and let me prove it to you. Prove that I would never hurt you." Black said, pleading her to show herself.

"If you want to prove anything, you go to the girl," she whispered harshly to herself. Sarah thought she might have heard him, but she didn't care anymore. If he didn't go up to her, she could just roof jump far away before dropping to the ground and running.

"Ummm... okay..." Black said, he looked around for something to climb up on to, but it seemed like this would almost be impossible. Though with a little difficulty, he managed to make it up there. He didn't see her anywhere in sigh. "Sarah... where are you?"

'He actually came up?!' She froze. She had no idea that he would actually come after her. Her grip on her dress loosened and part of it fell beside her. If Black couldn't find her before, he certainly could now.

Looking around, he saw the dress and ran over. "Sarah, what are you doing? C'mon, I'm going to help you get down. Do you believe me?" He asked her, holding out his hand.

Sarah looked at his hand. Had he been able to see her eyes, they would have betrayed how she felt. And how she felt, well, knowing he was up there proved he cared. But that didn't chase away all her doubts.

Pulling her back up, Black looked into her eyes. "Sarah, I love you. I would never betray you or our child." He said, setting her down and putting his hand on her stomach. "Please believe me. She is just a friend, I will have you meet her next time I see her in the city. In fact, you could follow me into the city tomorrow if you wanted."

Words escaped her as they often did when her love was strongest for her husband. All she could do was to pull him close to her and kiss him.
