((As am I. Also, it's time for exam week(s) again. I most likely won't be posting very often for a short while.))

Partially exhausted from his training Raidek sighed, “I need a drink…” He got up, and put his hook swords on his back, as well as placing the coiled chain of his scythe on his side. Raidek got up and made his way to the door, being sure to grab his mask on the way. The mask was on before the door even opened and he was making his way out of the tavern soon after.

He came out from between some buildings on the way to the tavern and in front of him he saw the figure of a cloaked man. The necklace the man was wearing played over in his mind. Sai? Raidek looked back to the figure as it continued walking past. “Sai.” He moved out and turned to face the man, so he could get a clear look at the one who had passed him.

s**t...

Sai stopped walking, images of Imperial Guards flying through his mind. He set his hand on his sword, ready to draw it in an instant and slice through whatever tried to get in his way.

Stratus asked, feeling his alarm.

Sai turned, and saw the familiar masked face of Raidek. He tried to relax his panic strung muscles but adrenaline had flushed his system, so he opted for a more casual stance, though he kept one hand on his sword hilt.

"Raidek. Why are you here? Last I saw you you were still in the Dragon Sages village, how are you here, and so quickly?"

((wow people are actually posting again. . . .
biggrin ))

Jania left the store she had been at after replenishing her supplies. Her pack was once again full but she now had a student to deal with that, once she got back to the hotel anyway. "Glacies meus ut vultus," Jania muttered under her breath and watched as once again ice spread onto all five fingers of her right hand. Her focus was getting better but still wasn't prefect.

“It’s good to see you too,” Raidek added shortly after Sai ended his string of questions.

Raidek smirked, though only part of the mischievous smile was visible due to his clay mask. “I rode from the village to this place, that is why I am here, fleeing from the probable wanted status bestowed kindly upon me by the imperial guard.” His smirk widened into an outright evil grin as he reveled in the memory of their slaughter. “The speed to which I got here is due to Fenrir…”

Raidek gave a moment for the information to set in. “Now, how come it took you so long to reach this village?”

"So, you had a run in with the Guards too? The reason it took us so long is because we stopped for the night. Sounds like we're both probably wanted men now. I walked in on one of the Guards killing one of Brantalis' apprentices, he attacked me when he saw me there. I think I heard him yelling that it was me that killed the apprentice too. Had to run, he was too powerful for me, he cast without saying any incantations. The others came too, guess the Guards were gonna arrest every combatant in the town." Sai suddenly realized that he was rambling and promptly closed his mouth. He attempted to order his thoughts before speaking again.

"Vilya heard that there's a skyship dock around here. We figured the sky might be a good place to hide from the Guards until we get to the next place we're going to. How about you, any plans for the immediate future as a wanted man?"

Raolain trudged along the dirt path as he walked, idly flipping through the pages of his spellbook as he walked. Hopefully he'd make it to another village before nightfall, or better yet a larger town. He'd much rather spend the night with a good roof over his head instead of some destitute farmer's hovel, or worse, under a hedge by the road. As he walked something wizzed past his ear and circled his head so quickly he couldn't have made it out had he been trying. He distractedly swatted at it as he would an annoying fly, and to that he wasn't far wrong.
"CanwekillsomethingnowRaolain?Canwecanwecanwe? It'sbeensolongsincewekilledsomethingandIamboredboredbored!!!!"
Raolain turned his head and gave the little fairy a glare as she lit on his shoulder, arms thrust at her sides and her lower lip protruding in a parody of a little girl pouting,"Would you shut up? I am trying to study, and if we are going to make our next destination without me losing my sanity I need you to stop pestering me every five seconds!" Cookie the fairy pouted even more at this, then quick as silver flew up and kissed Raolain lightly on the nose and sped away before he could squish her. If Raolain had his way...and she wasn't so useful...he would have done so long ago. Exhaling heavily he walked on, hoping the next village on this road would have a Sage he could battle...

Duhl Hayte rode his horse at an easy trot. He was in no hurry. He had finally captured Vladamir Drakul and returned him to The Organization, for which he had been handsomely rewarded. On top of his normal earnings for a mission such as the one he had just completed he had also been told that he could take a couple of weeks of free time. The Organization had no matters pressing enough to require an assassin of his calibur and he intended to enjoy said time by conducting some dark ventures of his own devising.

Spio, Haytes bonded chameleon companion, asked from inside his binding stone.

Hayte suddenly noticed a figure in the distance, walking the same path that he now traveled. It could be the increasing gloom of evening and the oncoming night, but the traveler appeared to be decked in all black. Hayte could not see any part of him that was not black, and his face was hidden in the shadows of his cloak.

He might have something worth taking...

((Just a quick mini-app so that everybody knows/remembers what Hayte looks like...
Appearance: Dimunutive, short and also slight of build, though still possessed of a wiry musculature.
-Eye Colour: Black
-Hair Colour: Black
-Hair Style: Is 12 inches long in the front and becomes gradually shorter as it goes back until it is only 1 inch at the nape of his neck. He parts it mostly to his left side and it covers that eye almost completely.
-Height: 5'3"
-Weight: 126 lbs
-Other Features: A vertcal scar crosses his left eye.
-Clothes: Heavy black cloth pants and sleeveless shirt and a black cloak.
-Shoes: Dull black leather boots.
-Gloves: Fingerless dull black leather gloves, they are almost elbow length with belts and buckles along the forearm.
-Other: A 2 inch wide, dull black leather, belt. A dull black leather headband, the 'tails' of which are two feet long.
Weapon of Choice: A collection of throwing knives concealed within his cloak and also on the belt at his waist. He also carries a fairly intricate dagger that was given to him after he was told of his parentage, supposedly it belonged to his mother. He wears it sheathed to his left forearm.))

Raidek’s grin widened as far as it could after hearing Sai’s comment about him having a run in with the guard.

Listening to Sai’s rambling he understood the all that had happened in the village. Typical Imperial dogs… Raidek shook his head, However, there is a silent caster among them, we’ll have to be on the lookout for that one.

“What was the name of the silent caster?”

The information concerning his work in the skyship docks would have to wait. For the moment at least.

"I didn't catch his name, I was kinda busy trying to not get killed. So, why exactly do you have a wanted status on you now too? What happened to you?" Sai asked.

Stratus said.

Sai responded.

It was almost full dark, with sun just barely peeking out from over the horizon yet. The wind was starting to pick up also. It wasn't overly cold, just hinting at the beginning of winter there in the north. Sai was suddenly very glad for the heavy coat and cloak that he had purchased.

"It's more like what happened to them." He let a slightly evil laugh escape him. "If you'd like, I'll tell you about it over drinks." Raidek then pointed to the pub he intended on visiting, though it could barely be seen with the handful of buildings blocking the view.

"It's a dingy little smug of a pub, but they got good drink." Raidek began his stride in the direction of the building, waving for Sai to follow.

Kin's eyes widened in surprise when he had heard Sai and Raidek mutter the words concerning silent incantations. It deeply interested Kin to hear there was such a skilled person. I think I made a very wide choice in deciding to stick around Sai. Thought Kin with a wide grin. As long as I stay with him, that man may appear.

"You never told me about a man who could recite silent incantations, Sai." Kin asserted quite loudly across the street from where he was leaning against the wall of the inn behind him. Kin stood up and equipped his gauntlets onto his hands and slowly made his way over to Sai and Raidek.

"You two won't be having this little discussion without me." Kin added, his eyes filled with intensity.

"Kin? Keep voice down." Sai said as Kin walked up to Raidek and he. "We'll continue this in a more inconspicuous area. This sort of talk might attract a bit more attention than any of us wants." He turned to Raidek. "Lead the way."

This talk of casting without incantations, it might catch some ears. Maybe even Imperial ones if we're not careful with what we know. And if casting without incantations is possible, I wonder how you do it.

((Gah, short post.))

After hearing Kin, Raidek muttered a few words in a foreign sounding tongue, as he continued on between sets of buildings, "The noise of the pub might make for fairly good privacy, course after I've made my drink we could talk elsewhere, I do have a room in the inn...but that probably ain't the best place to be speaking bout our business."

The pub slowly came into a better view, it was small and the closer they got the louder the sounds of talk and music got. It would serve well for what he needed it for.
