crucify_myself Attention to those who play le Piccolo!When you play sort of low range-ish notes, do you get an airy type sound? I do. If you don't, but did, how'd you fix it? Also, how high can you personally go? I can only reach a G (the one after f above the staff). I'm at a loss for what to do..
I am able to reach a high Eb! My dog goes CRAZY! blaugh (I know, it's mean...but still fun!)

I know it's posted in the stickies. 3nodding ewwww... someone threw up in their Sax before a contest...

I can play the piccolo, although my friend actually plays it in our band. I knwo this doesn't help you much, but both me and her have the same problem.... Although if you play the lower notes with really wide, deep vibrato, I find that it helps the tone of the lower notes. My older teacher sucked major butt so I have no idea what you mean by wide, deep, vibrato if u widen ur mouth and use the air from ur gut to push the air thourgh, it should help...

Crisp dollar bills and the make up oil paper things work really well too.

Isn't it weird how you can play a really high note, but can't play one note below it?

i dunno why....but i just adore band!only me and my other freind adore band so in our band...not that many pple are gonna be in band next year with highschool cause we have to march AND wear them gayish uniforms...lol,but i shall just have to murder any1 who makes fun of it!!llol

lol,i thiks it so funny that my freind has her own song that the band plays for her...it goes like retard!retrad!retrad!ect.....but we cant do it no more cause our director chewed our butts off for bein mean....lol,but we do it behind her back anyway...muahahaha!! xd

whew! its a bit hard to get D and Eb out of an open-holed flute for the first few times, but I am pretty good at it, cause i keep good finger posture and stuff... our band trip is gonna be awesome... we're going to Houston for 3 days! woo-hoo!! leaving tomorrow

yay! I am most likely to play Pic for marching band! I want a Pic. but, no time for getting one at the moment... plus i need a job (im 17 without a licnse-i moved-is my reason-had my permit- sweatdrop )
I can't wait till next year! our second cahir ppl are going to set the chair orders for next year. I cam late so i got 3rd... i justhope the flute player in front of me puts me first. she's not great, but is ok... and i hope she puts our 4th chair flute in2nd... xd and there is this clarinet who put all her friends in with her, and left out the "nice" peopl-my friends-and put them near the end-JUST NOT RIGHT!!! crying
so... i kinda help my bro out with his percussion someties, and i learn from him, and i kinda play piano, so I hope to get into percussion class during college. it should be great. yayness... and my brother has a guitar.. i can't resist that... ^_^ when he goes out, i go in... heehee twisted xp
