Taima kind of wanted to go around it, and when it started throwing sharp leaves at her, she decided her curiosity wasn't worth death by fauna. Luckily he found the glasses! Extracting them, he placed them onto the tree's face, and gave a bright smile. There, much better! and he got a fragment in return!

Meeting a very tall tree, and talkative at that, AncientPages stood curiously, and tweaked the placement of his glasses as the question was proposed. Hm... well that was an odd question. how could he answer that without seeing those friends this tree spoke of?

Oh wow... what a gorgeous willow! Getting closer, AncientPages deemed this an excellent place to rest, or have a nice read under... but getting up close and personal was not going to happen with this one. Yelping from the slap of branches against him, the Doormouse quickly scampered out of its range, and found his way out of the woods. Thank goodness!

She had never been one for video games. They hadn’t suited her taste, and even if by some stroke of luck they did she never had the time to indulge in those types of hobbies. Her father would never have allowed her to. He surely would have insisted she pursue an interest more stimulating and interesting, not something that would rot her brain like video games. All Alaska knew were the glimpses she’d stolen while looking over a classmate’s shoulder or watching one of her friends relax at home while they hung out or procrastinated on schoolwork.
She at least had to thank her lucky stars for being given a job class that didn’t involve ridiculous animal ears like a majority of them seemed to require. Alaska gave her hands a couple of twirls as she examined the ball joints decorating her body. This was an interesting turn of events. She’d never heard of a game that had the avatars look like this, but there was a first time for everything.
Sharp green eyes stared at the other people ambling the woods around her. Eventually her wandering gaze settled on a sign with an obvious exclamation point hovering above it. A quest to level up and gain loot? It sounded reasonable and typical, so Sunny nodded her head at the NPC. “Alright then,” she muttered in a low voice. “Throw the quest at me.” Yet as soon as the quest was given to her, the mad hatter could not help but wonder why she was supposed to examine trees. Lips parted, wanting to question them, but then she thought better of it and twirled around on her heels instead. Admittedly, the woods were something she had never seen before. It was ridiculously colorful and somewhere she could hear music, blaring trumpets and all, but couldn’t decipher where the racket came from. Perhaps there were more to the trees than she assumed.
“Alright. I’ll take you up on that quest,” Sunny agreed before walking off, coattails flying behind her in a flurry. The first tree she encountered was one with a myriad of signs nailed to it. She cocked her head and squinted her eyes as she read the words scrawled across the boards. This way to nowhere and everywhere. That was hardly informative. It was merely another example to the complete absurdity of this world. Scoffing, she walked on.

Ornot just looked on as she considered his offer, though he realized that the lack of activity provoked an interesting thing; his foot started to tap, as if eager to get moving again. It stopped when he looked curiously down at his own appendage, and then back up at the dormouse girl. "Is that supposed to happen?" He wasn't sure.
"Er-yes, nice to meet you, um, Kousagi? Interesting name." A handshake was familiar, though a little strange, and Ornot returned the smile as best as he could. At least, of course, until she gave another suggestion. Investigate trees? What--
"...How is that in any way fun?" Ornot's nose wrinkled, unhappy with having to look at trees. The rabbit gave a heavy sigh. "Well, ok, it seems to be the thing to do." He looked around, and headed over to the first tree he saw, a little hop to his step. Before he could get very close though, the willow tree started to smack him. Twice. A Third time, and finally dropped a whole pile of branches and leaves on him in an attempt to keep him at bay.
"akfjhakgha---HOW IS THIS FUN?!" He howled unhappily, trying to dig himself out from under the leaf pile.

She’d never seen a tree like this before. “What’s wrong?” The question came out harsher than she intended, but at least the sobbing tree didn’t seem to mind it. “Your glasses?” Sunny raised an eyebrow at it. She considered not helping it, but maybe a cursory look of the surrounding area would placate it.. Surprisingly, she managed to find a dimly sparkling pair of spectacles nestled in a tall patch of grass. She bent down to pick it up with her pair hands. Sunny wiped away a few specks of dirt before holding it up to the tree. “Are these years?” She suddenly flinched up when the giant plant wrapped her in a giant hug. The hatter immediately attempted to squirm her way out of its prickly hold. “Okay, look. Could you…Could you maybe let go?” she hissed. As soon as it released her she hurried away.

[2/5- 1 Fragments Collected] The foot tapping was an awfully convenient distraction in which to push her tail back behind herself where it would hopefully remain safe. Not that he looked shifty, it was just... Being cautious! She looked down at the foot for a second, then turned her gaze up at him with a smile and an airy shrug. "Maybe! You should pay attention to it. It might mean something important!" Her eyes might have sparkled a little when she said that, but look she was just so excited to be playing this awesome game she couldn't contain herself! As for her name she laughed and bounced into the air. "Thanks! I like yours too! Ornot? OR NOT AH I get it, I get it." She laughed again and swatted at his arm before she darted off toward a tree. "No, I definitely do I'm just kidding, L-O-L!" The second tree made her laugh, but she went quiet when it reprimanded her for her jest. In an effort to win its favor, she hugged it quite fiercely and managed to shake it in her exuberance and shake a few colors into it, as well as a shiny off it. With an "ooooooh" she pocketed it and looked around to find the rabbit... In a pile of branches. "OH GOSH! Are you ok?!" Kousagi hurried over with many squeaks and began to throw the branches off. "I'm so, so sorry I mean like its not my fault but I'm still sorry are you ok?" Honestly, it wasn't her fault but she did look terribly guilty over it. After all, looking had been her suggestion... "Come over to the stripey tree, its nice!" "Oooo," Sorcha cooed as she inspected her new dream body, running her fingers over fur and scales, careful of the claws and spines and other such sharp, unnecessary attributes. She turned her head and found her vision blocked by a wall of feathered wings. It took her a moment to figure how to get them into the "down, stay"position, and then she marveled at the frivolous amount of tails that waved and wiggled behind herself. She was the very picture of overdone, and she couldn't have been happier. "I think I will like this game very much, yes," she declared as she walked off, oblivious to the eyes staring from the trees at her in mixed shock, curiosity, and horror.
