The Radiant Meister

Hope appeared next to Light in a few moments after he himself had gotten to the Diner. She whispered to him that she was ready to move when she was. With that in mind light prepared to go in on the demons before feeling a familiar spirit wavelength enter the fray. Max had returned and had busted through the Diner so that he had confronted all of the people at the same time. Shaking his head Light couldn't believe how careless he was. "What is he doing!," Light said in a whisper as he watched closely. In seconds of Max appearing a portal had opened and the two wolf like demons escaped through the dark abyss with their captives, leaving two others behind.
Before light could act the portal closed behind them letting them escape from Light's clutches. "Damn," Light said as he jumped down from the roof. Using the same entrance that Max had created to avoid creating more collateral damage, Light entered the Diner. Surveying the area inside the Diner he quickly moved to the location of where the portal once was, inspecting the space near the proximity. There were large traces of a madness wavelength which Light assumed was used to create the portal. Most likely it was a witches portal, which worried Light. Turning to the two people that were left behind Light put his hands on his hips. "What were you two doing traveling with Kishin?" Light said accusingly at Shira and Atticus. Of course Light knew who Shira was. Everyone did as she was an heir to the shinigami throne. However it perplexed Light why she would even consider grouping with a pair of corrupted souls.

Still recovering from Harold's cheap shot, Atticus was in no shape to chase after him, right now, but anyone there could tell he was ready to kill the next person who dared to stand in his way. Watching as Harold and Emma escaped with his sister and her partner in hand, Atticus was too overcome with anger that he had not managed to hear Emma's last words to them. The moment the portal closed, Atticus forgot all about the date he and Shira was on and started to leave, "Go and get the others, Shira. We are going to get my sister back." he told her. ✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾

Partner: Kai Mori Shaking his head, Galaxus thought about all the places they've been in their missions. "Getting assigned as mentors would be nice, I suppose," he said with a sigh. "At least then we could stay in Death City a bit longer." The waiter returned with Galaxus' water moments later, setting it down before catering to another customers needs. The dark haired meister finished his salad slowly.

Light listened as Shira explained that the tainted soul that was here earlier used to be their friend. The other person left behind then chimed in, seeming to wake up from his daze moments ago. He was very hard pressed to return to wherever the dark portal lead too, which Light assumed lead deep into witch territory. He seemed to loose his happy demeanor as he looked at the pair of them. What replaced it was a look of displeasure, maybe even a little pity for the duo as they made plans to go get the Atticus' sister back.
"I...I don't know where you two are going, but you should know more than anyone," Light said as he paused. He tried to find the words to say without making it seem severe, but there wasn't much option. "That friend of yours with the tainted soul.... You know he can't be turned back." Light continued as he looked over to Atticus. "Once inducted into a tainted soul, they will eventually loose control." Light finished. It was a harsh reality but in all the years of the DWMA not one soul that had become tainted by evil ever returned completely to normal.

Kai, amazingly yet not so suprisingly, finished her french fry mountain. "It's my turn to pay." she reminded and asked the waitress for the check. "I woyldn't mind mentoring but teaching other people weirds me out a little. I don't think I'll be to teach them much." she confessed.

"Or at least enough to keep them from doing that." he added with a gesture to the holes he was looking at. "I'm surprised that no ones freaking out about those. Hmm....interesting. Anyways, you ready to go?."

He was too far gone, consumed by anger and rage, despite knowing that Shira probably had some sort of plan, he did not care anymore, his sister's life was on the line and so, he will go through hell and back to get. Without saying a word, Atticus walked off towards Charlotte's home. ✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾✾
