Student Name: Monica Linley
Species: Shapeshifter
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Appearance description: Basicly like in the picture. She stands at about 5 foot 5, her skin tone is cool, and she is always seen in glasses (but obviously not when she is asleep), and her eyes are the colour hazel.
Personality: Monica is a very quiet person, she does not speak unless she is spoken too, unless it is nessicary. Despite her being quiet, Monica is quite friendly when someone approaches her and will give in to the conversation. She is also quite nervous, even the slightest sound will make her jump if she is not expecting it. She doesn't jump to the extent to hurt people, it is more of an irrating quirk she has, so she is easily startled. She strives to do the absolute best that she can, always.
Bio: Monica grew up in a loving but strict family, all of her family members were shapeshifters, she has 2 siblings, they are twin girls aged 12. Monica has a very close relationship with both her sisters and her parents. From the age that her and her siblings are able to read and write, their parents have always wanted them to do the best they can, they are strict but they do love their children. Monica was doing very well in normal school, and wanted a change of scenery and learning, so she was sent to Rosentale Academy.
Skills and Abilities:
- Shape-shifting, downfall is that shifting into something powerful drains her energy very quickly. Monica is able to change into animals only, and these animals are limited to a purple 6 foot dragon with a 5 foot wing span. She can also change into harmless small animals, smallest being a wood mouse. She can't change into something unless she has had an experiance with that certain animal, so hr powers are limited to what she has seen, and she is able to control her powers.

- Finiky Perfectionist - Everything Monica does, must be perfect. Monica is finicky over her work, her work must always be perfect and if not, then she will start all over again.
- Nervous - Monica can be easily scared, slight sounds that she is not expecting can make her jump or jumpy. But she is trying hard to over come this flaw.

Alright, her abilities are looking better, but you're still missing flaws and like I said in my last response, her nervousness is a flaw that easily is played off as cute. That's why I can't accept it as a flaw. Also, we want a minimum of three flaws. So you just need to add two more. And there's also a concern that I've been noticing as you've been RPing. Flaws are not things you just slap down just to please me or StrawberryZ0mbie. You actually have to play them in the RP. That's why you have to make character profiles. It's so you can understand what type of character you're making and to play them accordingly as well as telling others what kind of characters you have. You have not been playing your flaws in your characters. I don't think I've seen Susan ramble once and that is one of her flaws and her nervous tendencies do not seem to follow her around at all. I didn't even realize she had nervous tendencies until I went to check her profile. The same with Rose. She seems perfectly friendly with anyone she talks to. I would have never known she had trust issues. And I haven't seen her acting shy either. Not shy enough to be a flaw, that is. As for being over-protective,once they have friends, I'll also be watching out for that too. ^^ Remember, being over-protective is completely barring their friends from being friends with other people if you characters feel that the other people are shady or no good to be friends with and physically attacking anyone who might appear to cause harm to their friends. Usually the best way to picture over-protective as a flaw is to think about over-protective parents that never let their kids do anything, which results to causing some issues with other people and that is why it's a flaw. So I would like to see you RPing their flaws, or they'll probably have to come back here again so we can fix their flaws so that it fits their characters. Alright, so quote me when you've made the changes and also keep in mind what I told you about Susan and Rose. ^^

Well, flaws are part of the character's personality. It just goes with the person's character easily and isn't so much as a thing to write down or remember. It's fine if you slip up every once in a while, but usually the flaws just show up during the RP. Flaws help a character become something different and unique and separates them from bland characters. Of course no one is perfect, so we also try to keep that in mind when RPing so that it'll keep it interesting and we're not living in a perfect happy world because that would be relatively boring. If the flaws are something that's hard for you to remember for Susan and Rose, then you might want to rethink their personality so that the flaws actually work with them. Now back to Monica! =D Okay, the things about flaws is that they have setbacks. Like being a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect and the result is that she will put everything off just to make this thing perfect and will disregard everything else that needs to be done. So with anxious, if she has a fear of failure and worries about what other people think of her work, what does she do to make it a flaw? Does it mean that if people speak badly of her work, will she go back and keep working on it? Or does this worry causes her to stress out and just make her do worse? You might want to add those kinds of things to it. As for obsessive, the way you have it explained just puts it under finicky perfectionist. But obsessive will work as a separate flaw if she was obsessive over other things than perfect work. Like if she was obsessive over her own things and won't let people touch them. Being frail is not a flaw. If she was physically weak that she needs to use a walking stick to walk, then it can be. But to the point that she's just 'dainty,' it's not a flaw. And a lot of people don't see dainty as much of a flaw but a very feminine trait. So really all you need to do is add more details to anxious and obsessive and Monica can be good to go. ^^ You can always add more just in case you're not sure, but you have to consider how it can work as a flaw and that it's not repeating anything. When you're done, quote me and I'll take a look again. ^^

He also wear a ring on his right hand. Personality: Jason is a very thoughtful person and doesn't talk much. It takes a lot of persitance to get to know him, but Jason is a very loyal and protective friend who will always be there to help in any way possible. Jason is very calm and slow to anger. He is very intelligent and gentlemanly. Bio: Jason was raised by his nomadic tribe. He is an orphan; his mother died giving birth to him and his father died of a mysterious illness that has no cure. He was taught how to fight using a sword, dagger, bow and arrows, and hand-to-hand one day and the next day he would meditate from sunrise to sunset. In Jason's tribe, the boy's 'coming of age' was on their fifteenth birthday. After that, Jason was given the option to either stay with the tribe or study elsewhere. Hey--about his flaws, there are some issues. 1. Stuttering CAN be a flaw but you have got to remember to RP it as a very pervasive problem that does not magically get better after a couple of weeks. 2. When you say "not good with meeting new people" what does that mean? Is he shy? Stand offish? Socially awkward? That is very, very vague and I'm dubious about allowing it because once he manages to meet everyone in the RP, it's rarely going to come up. He needs flaws that are going to stick with him and be problematic throughout the RP. 3. "A bit" of anything is not really a flaw. Flaws, as I said, are pervasive. They are things that are all the time and are significant. Also, I find that people frequently put perfectionism as a flaw but rarely RP it to the levels it needs to be to actually count as one. I live with a perfectionist. I know how fussy and irritating they can be. If you are not prepared to have him constantly fussing and being neurotic over the details of everything, I would recommend considering another flaw. Please go ahead and quote me when you fix up his flaws and I will have another look.

You post pretty consistently with Raven so we're not worried about you neglecting that character in favor of this one but... We're a little hesitant to approve a second character because of your posting habits. Your posts are really short--to the point that the vast majority of them are 1-2 sentences. They tend to be very difficult to reply to, unfortunately. I'm not saying you're a bad RPer but Rosentale actually does have a rule about posting one liners. Your RP sample in this profile is great but honestly, that doesn't reflect what your posts are actually like in the RP--your recent post in the history class today is a perfect example of a typical Crystael post. Again, it's not like you're a horrible RPer--you're NOT a horrible RPer and we LOVE having you in this guilid. But your posts lack content and are very often difficult to reply to because of their extreme brevity. I feel like your characters are often left out because no one is quite sure how to interact. So before I fully approve Jason, I want a verbal (well...textual, LoL) promise from you that you are going to read This thread and start working on adding more content to your posts. They don't have to be super long--they just need to have more than a single action and a single sentence of dialogue. If you promise me you'll read that thread--which just talks about how to write posts that are easier to respond to--I will approve Jason. ^^

Appearance description:
She has light brown wings that she cant hide no matter what she tries. She has a large scar across her right hip from a wolf attack when she was younger. She also, reaches a height of 5'3... Yes she is rather on the short side, but she is a Pixie after all.
Personality:
Melody is easily irritated, and doesnt liked to be bugged for no reason. And, if she doesnt know you to well she will put on her 'shell' and hide her true personality from that person until she gets to know that person better. Though once you get to know her better she isnt quite as irritable, and snippy. She can actually be quite cuddly when she is happy.
Bio:
Melody has grown up in a Pixie Hallow(And no i dont mean like Tinker Bell!) all her life, and has never seen any other kind of species besides Pixies... That is until she got to Rosentale. When she was a young girl around the age of five she got lost in the woods surrounding the Hallow, and came across a clearing where she heard a noise. But, when she got to the center of the clearing she found a wolf cub who was injured and when she desided to try, and help it the mother wolf rush out of the brush, and attacked her beleving that Melody was going to hurt her pup. If her father hadn't have come looking for her she probably would have been seriously injured or worse. Ever since then her parents have babied her as if she were a child, and never let her out of their sight which irritated her. She was impossible to get along with until she found her old cat Scratch who warmed up her heart in a way only a pet could.
Skills and Abilities:
Like most Pixies she can sing, dance, and play the flute. She can also, use her wings to fly though she doesnt have much skill when it comes to flying. Being around small bodies of water weaken her to the point where she is sluggish, and tired but she absolutly cannot go near large bodies of water or she will generaly have the energy "sapped" out of her, or in other words she wouldnt evern have enough energy to walk. When she uses her magic she mainly uses it for moving objects about the size of a small child's toy, and enchanting plants to a small extent by causing them to grow, and move at her biding but it takes a lot of energy to do so..
Character Flaws:
~ She has the bad habit of chewing her nails until she starts to bleed under her finger nails.

RP Example:
Melody walked the grounds of the Hallow for her last time for a long time. She didnt feel like watcking her mother pack her bags for her. She didnt want to see her father's worried face. She knew that neither of them wanted to see their little girl leave the Hallow, but they also knew this wasc her only chance to see the outside world. Something that they never got to experiance. She felt something scratch at her leg, but didnt bother to look back.
"Hello Scratch." She mummbled quietly to the old, scraggly cat by her feet. She finally looked down at the ugly cat, and smiled with something that could only be affection as the cat rubbed up against her leg. She loved that cat. She didnt care that everyone else in the Hallow haqted him. She has had that cat her whole life, and she was bringing him with her to Rosentale. "Come on Scrtatch. Lets get back to the house, and help mom pack us up." She said quietly as she picked up her old cat, and made her way home.
Extra Information:
She has an old Cat named Scratch that she will be bringing with her. Like every Pixie she has magic running through her blood. She cannot fly if her wings get wet. She is Dyslexic which causes her to get frustrated when she reads. And, she is a vegetarian.

Okay, you will need to fix quite a few things before this character can be approved. First of all, please add a little to the appearance. We like to know things like height and such. Second, her powers need to be fully explained. You say she's magical, but list no magical abilities for her. If objects can move around because of her magic, you need to be listing that in her abilities. We do not like surprise abilities so *anything* you want her to be able to do with magic, needs to be listed properly in her profile. Okay, you listed a bunch of flaws but only one of those is actually valid--her anger issues. Losing control of her magic when angry is a [very,very, very, VERY common] power limitation, not a flaw. Not being athletic is not a flaw at all. Many people are not good athletes. A flaw is when you're missing a necessary skill or trait, not when you're missing a skill that not everyone has to begin with. Not being able to swim is definitely not a flaw. (See above) Water being dangerous to her, again, is more of an ability weakness, not so much a flaw. (One wonders how she bathes if she can't touch water--does she have strong body odor because of this? If so, then it could probably be considered a viable flaw. Also, humans are made up of more than 60% water so I'm assuming she doesn't bleed normal blood, or have anything like human body chemistry. She also probably wouldn't be able to cry or sweat, nor would she have normal saliva in her mouth, etc. It's fine to have that as a weakness but for the sake of good character building, you have to consider what this means for her biologically. Also consider that the air usually has a percentage of water in it at all times so she would probably need something to protect her from that. Not to mention that nearly ever food or beverage normal people eat have water in them. Plants also have water in them. So she probably can't eat or drink normal things either...Just some things to keep in mind. ^^) Disabilities like Dyslexia aren't really considered real flaws in this RP. You can put it in her extra information but it's not going to count as a flaw. Having a hard time making friends sounds more like the result of her temper than a flaw in and of itself. In the end, the only flaw she has right now is her anger problem so you need to give her two more actual flaws. Having the cat is okay but just remember it shouldn't be going to school with her--it will need to stay in her dorm when she is in class. Please feel free to quote me when you've fixed these issues.
