Mala guasped. "Oh goodness, you're right! Then again, it's not much of an impressive feat to make a teenager fan over you. All you have to do is say that you killed a giant rat and they love you forever for the next five minutes."

Riley just grinned broadly from all the compliments he was getting.
"That 'vile influences' comment better not have been aimed at me." Van said.
((Riley's going to need a hair brush really bad at the rate we're going. All this hair ruffling has got to be messing up his hair something awful. xd ))

Mala lowered her gaze once more. "I know, I know. It's just...difficult to stop." she admitted. She was almost tempted to ask Van to help her out a little, but that'd be embarassing. So instead, she fell to silence once more.

Riley looked between the two adults. From what he'd seen, Mala covered his ears, then they talked for a bit, and then they suddenly stopped talking. "Are you guys having another lover's spat?" he asked worriedly. He was starting to like Van and didn't want him to go so soon.
"We're not lovers!" Van said with a flushed face as he thwacked Riley over the head again, causing him to yelp slightly. The first time he asked was innocent naivete. There was no excuse now though as a lack of intimate relationship had already been established.
