Bruhan spoke up "We're getting nothing done sitting here arguing, Leo if you feel like risking getting attacked by animals you can scout ahead, but it would be easier if we just went all together and speed up our pace. Now do we make camp or move ahead?"

[[Just wondering, shouldn't you have to roll a listen check, since I whispered? Extremely sorry if I'm wrong. sweatdrop ]]

[[If you want him to need to, but since it's neither plot related, doesn't really add dramatic tension, and isn't especially difficult, it wouldn't merit a roll unless you only want to be overheard by those who make the check.]]
[[Nah, just clarifying. Thanks for that.]]

Maybe the cold had been getting to him. His thoughts of false heroism left him as Bruhan made him remember just how stupid his idea had been. Looking to him and gripping his forehead, he in his own way nodded in thanks to the other dwarf.

Tapping his bow across his shoe, he decided to make a more clear headed decision. Thinking to himself for a bit he came to a conclusion that Himself, and the others would easily be able to set off any possibles attackers.Plus they would have enough time before total darkness to get into town.

Sure of himself, and his new 'bright' idea, Leokul looked to Bruhan and resumed speaking,"You're right, thanks for that, friend." Waving his hand over in his direction."I'm not complaining, but staying out here any longer, in any situation doesn't seem like a great decision." Stroking his beard with a free hand he looked at the others,"I'm sure our combined efforts can stave of any dangers we might face on our way to the forest, and if we double our pace I'm sure we'd have enough time before dark to deal with any threats." Stopping to glance over in the direction of the Forest's Edge, he stayed quiet for a moment, then turned his averted gaze at the sun.

Shrugging his shoulders lightly and letting out a less serious tone he finished his statement with,"Seeing as we're having trouble deciding-Why don't we just take a vote?" He thought it was pretty straightforward, no one should really have a problem with that.

*Damien throws a snowball at Leokul and grazes his shoulder*

"Yes thats a brilliant idea. Why don't we take a vote? Right, well since I don't seem to matter, you can just ignore me. I'm going on, hows that for a vote?" After venting Damien walks off towards Forest's Edge, not caring to look back and see if any of them were following.

'Stupid, inconsiderate, deaf dwarf!' He cursed in Draconic. 'Yes lets vote on it! Brilliant idea! Just ignore the man with the experience of sleeping in the woods about his idea as mine is sooo much better! Bah!'

"I'm guessing that's one for quickening our pace. Any others?" Smiling as he brushed the light trail of snow off his shoulder, he looked towards the others, placing his bow on his back. Letting his eye stray off to his corner, he just made sure to check up on his angry companion.

Someone can't take a joke

He thought to himself. Shaking his head, he felt a tad bit sorry as his humor, once again, had put off another person. It'd be best just to wait out his anger, Damien wouldn't go far anyways, he figured. He'd probably stop a bit farther down the road and wait for the rest, he'd at least have respect for their mentor.. maybe.

Damien doesn't stop, doesn't look back. He'd grow accustomed to leaving a group and not intending to return. Like they deserved his aid.

After about 20 minutes the group was out of sight and Damien was completely alone, but he kept walking. When it started to get dark he lit a sunrod and continued walking.

He never looked back.

Bruhan stood up and stretched, the cold had been getting to his bones, and he had no intention of being frozen in place.

He turned to Leokul and said 'Leo, we might as well pick up the pace and head for town, maybe find Damien before he gets eaten, I'm not too sure Master would look upon it well if someone died in the woods, regardless of how it came about" he continued "Besides, He'll need those sunrods to get through the woods and I'll be a bearded gnome if that doesn't piss some wolves off."

He turned to the elder student "We need to prepare everyone for the dash to town, we'll need to keep an eye out for a beacon of light because thats where Damien is going to be, he doesn't have the map and he sure as hell doesn't know his way around these woods, so the chances of him finding his way to town by himself aren't the best"

Then he addressed the rest of the party "If you aren't ready for this then tough luck! if we split up and get attacked, this journey is done for, we will need to keep pace with each other and to be ready in case of an attack by wild animals, if you fall behind or see something, just whistle!

Bruhan went silent and went about preparing himself for the run, making sure his longsword was well secured but not too tight to draw in case of an emergency, he tightened his buckler and tied the rope connected to the sled around his waist, and placed his backpack and secured it to the sled so it wouldn't fall off.

Electrix walked carefully. She didn't want to find anything as extreme as demons, but it always paid to keep an eye open. "So, we have to walk how much longer?" she asked.

After some arguement, the group ends up speeding their travel, and two hours later, they arrive at Forst's Edge, a tiny settlement of perhaps thirty people. They were lucky they had increased their pace, as it got quite dark about half an hour before their arrival, and the only reason they didn't get lost in their last ten minutes was because they could see lights in the village ahead.

Feeling somewhat exhausted from their last minute effort (everyone is fatigued and has taken one point of non-lethal damage), they manage to find an older woman who takes them in for the night for three coppers each.

The group rises with the sun to find a dusting of new snow on the ground, though nothing that would have affected them if they had still been in the open. It is time to prepare to leave, this is the last time they are likely to see other people -- besides goblins -- until they reach their destination.

(( What happened to Lum? ))

[[Same thing as the rest of you. He can't go any faster than you, and unless you took an unreasonably long time deciding what to do before continuing, he was merely slightly ahead of you the whole time (a few hundred feet if you followed right away, a thousand or so if you took five minutes). Easily within eyesight the whole time. The details are up to you to RP]]

Bruhan wakes up at the House, last night was a blur, the rush to get to town was damaging to his spirit but a good nights sleep made up for it easily.

He looked around the room, everyone was still asleep in their own bed, he laid back down and though what he might need for the next leg of the journey, he didn't have time to eat any rations because the run was constant and barely any break was made, people even drank on the run.

He got up and dressed himself and secured his equipment, his backpack was near the bed and he planned to leave it there until it was time to go. Prepared already he turned to the stairs and went to the dining room downstairs.

The room was spacious and had a few tables tables, in the main room there was a round of chairs near the fireplace for whoever needed to warm their bones.

Bruhan went to get a table for the party when they woke up, the woman's daughter came to ask what he would like for breakfast, a blonde girl just reaching adulthood. Bruhan asked for a mug of mead which was promptly declined, and a bowl of beef stew, and waited for the rest of the group

Usually the last one to rise, Damien was suprised to see others still sleeping. It must have been the nervousness of sleeping somewhere new. It happened everytime he moved. It wasn't much of a problem, he was just a little more alert than normal.

He headed downstairs and sat at the table with Bruhan. The daughter returned and brought him a bowl of stew as well. He needed something to warm him from a long nights slumber. His energy was still a little down as he hated sleeping in the bed here, it made him itch almost constantly last night.

"What took you guys last night. It was a good ten minutes before you got here after me." He asked Bruhan while watching the rest of the room which he had seated himself so he could see as much as possible. He was paranoid like that.

Taking a bite out of the chunk of bread that came with his stew Bruhan chewed thoughtfully "A few people weren't ready for the run, and we had to make sure we had the direction right. No sense in running all night if you miss the town by a mile or more." He ate some of the soup, thick and flavorful it brought back whatever energy the sleep hadn't "What made you take off like that?" he asked

Ignoring the question Damien went to eating his soup, nothing like a warm meal after a cold winters nap.

[[Sorry, i'd go on but i'll be late for work if i do. be back later]]
