Caspian nodded to Merlin as he appeared, relieved; he'd secretly been predicting at least one death, and Merlin had topped his list. "That leaves Ianthe and Rose then," he mused, not willing to voice his fears.
What if Ianthe had died? She was much larger target than the rest of them...what would the tribe do if their Elder had been killed?
"I'm fine, just a few scratches and bruises," Merlin assured Nereida, going to sit down next to her. Shifting nervously, he looked up at Caspian. "I haven't heard any signs of others besides you all. But Nerissa is right. When everyone is ready, we need to head ot the ship."
After finding several large palms blocking her path, Ianthe had decided that the Ship was the best place to wait. It was the center of life here, after all, and the others would instinctively travel to it.
Ianthe leaped onto the rotting deck and, for the first time, she silently prayed to her tribe's Higher Being.

Nerissa gave everyone another look over. "It seems we can all walk well enough. We might was well start for the ship now, then get everyone fixed up properly." She helped her sister to her feet slowly, and waited for someone to lead the way.
Once Nereida was standing, and after the slight headache subsided, she leant against the nearest tree for support. Her vision was still blurry in places, most likely because of the blow to her head.

((It's not my thoughts, it's his. Caspian's a pretty dark fox, if you couldn't tell.))
Merlin immediately went to offer support on Nereida's other side, ignoring the knowing stare Caspian was drilling into his back. Sighing, he ran over their location in his head, trying to figure out where the Ship was in relation to them.
"We need to head northwest," he mused. "I don't think we're more than...a mile away." He sighed; a mile was still a decent amount for injured foxes.

Nereida leant on Merlin, grateful. She was about to speak her thanks, but when she opened her mouth to speak, another wave of nausea hit her. After blinking a few times, she decided not to bother trying that again. Instead, she contented herself with just smiling warmly at Merlin. She started walking in the direction Merlin indicated, it was easier now that her wieght was on someone else.
Nerissa followed after her sister, not worried now that Merlin was there. He would make sure she was perfectly safe, she knew that much.

(Ok, since it's been a few days that I've had her I'm not gunna start her out too young.)
An unfamiliar face combed the islands- or what was left of them after the hurricane anyway. It was a female kit who presently stood about the height of collie. Her fur was deep blue in color and had the appearance of waves on it. Her eyes were a pale white and didn't appear to have any pupils in them. Yet, oddly enough, the water vixen seemed to actually be able to see better than most other foxes.
From all of the debris and damage to the area, it was quite evident that some catastrophe had struck the poor little chain of islands. I hope no one was hurt, she thought to herself, looking over the pitiful state of the land sadly. As she explored, the scent of a small group of foxes caught her attention. They didn't seem to far off. Concerned about their current condition, the wave-patterned fox began traveling in the direction of the scents, careful should they be weary of strangers.

Nerissa sniffed the air again, still looking for any other signs of life. This time, she actually smelt something. She stopped in her tracks, sniffing around a little more. "You guys," she said, "there's an unfamiliar scent around here." Looking around at her companions, it was obvious they were in no shape to go looking for the other fox. "I think you guys should go ahead. I'll find the other fox and take them back there with me." With that, she veered off to one side, following the scent of the new fox.

Nami paused warily as one of the scents seemed to draw closer. Pushing aside her hesitation though as she remembered her original intent, she continued forward towards the approaching scent. After making her way over and through some fallen trees, Nami was able to spot another water-patterned female approaching her from up ahead. She was quite pretty actually and reminded Nami a lot of the ocean depths.

Nerissa followed the scent a few yards. It didn't take that long since the fox was making it's way toward her as well. It wasn't that hard to spot the blue kit through all of the debris. She rushed over to the kit to make sure it wasn't hurt. "I mean no harm," she said with a bow, just to get it out of the way. "My name is Nerissa and I'm a carer for the Bateau tribe, the tribe that inhabits these islands. Are you hurt anywhere?" Nerissa asked.

Nami shook her head. "Iie, I just came upon these islands this morning. When I caught the scent of other foxes I wanted to come see if you all were alright. Looks like a tornado ripped through here or something," she commented, looking around at the land once more. "My name is Nami by the way. Do you guys need help with anything? I'd be glad to lend a hand."

"Nice to meet you, Nami," Nerissa said. "We don't need help with much right now, we're just trying to get back to the ship and hopefully find the others. Do you want to come with me?"

"Sure," Nami said with a smile and a nod. "Perhaps I can help you to find some more of your companions on the way to this 'ship' then." Having never even heard of a human, Nami had no idea what a ship was.

"Okay then it's settled," Nerissa said, sniffing the air to find the other's scents. "This way, then!" She decided, walking in the direction of her sister's smell.
Nereida was oriented [[it's the opposite of disoriented...]] enough to worry for her sister's safety. 'She doesn't neccessarily have the best sense of direction,' she thought. 'She easily got lost when we were kits. Even up until recently...'

Marina sighed, plopping down, suddenly winded. She was suddenly very tired; the effort of moving the tree had drained her.
"I'll catch up later," She said, laying down and closing her eyes. "I just need to rest for a bit," Her tail swished behind her, slowing down to match her heartbeat.

Caspian immediately stopped once Marina did, concerned. "Nereida, Merlin, go on ahead. If your sister comes this way, I'll send her to you two." He sighed and laid down next to his mate, trying to figure out what could be wrong.
Surely she was more than just tired? Marina was the most determined out of all of them to keep going.....why the sudden change?
Merlin was about to protest, but after a moment decided Caspian was right. Someone needed to find Ianthe, and since he refused to leave Nerida behind, the two of them would have to be the ones that kept going.
"Come on, Nerida, Nerissa will be fine," Merlin assured her quietly."The faster we find Ianthe, the better. And if your sister is still lost when we get there, I promise I'll go find her. But we need to get you somewhere safe."
