Yes, that sub-forum in particular (the Arena) IS excluded. You absolutely, positively, do not have to post there. However, you DO have to post in the other sub-forums (The Village, Museum, Fantasy Conference, Role Playing Hall, Theater, The Portal, Catacombs, Writer's Circle & The Skyward Penthouse.). Please note that you don't have to post 3 times in the RP Hall, but it might help you in winning the item. wink

If there's anything else, feel free to point it out as well and please don't forget to check the previous page (more specifically, my last post there) for more info on May's contest. 3nodding

ok! I'm back, I apologize for not being active, I will try my hardest to make new posts. I've just been really busy lately, and forgot about this contest. I probably will not make the post requirement this month, but I will most likely do it in June.

One question Hypno: If I cannot participate in an RP at all because of my lack of time I can commit to one, does that disqualify me from winning any monthly prize?

Well, if you manage to post 3 times in every other sub-forum(which I don't think you did anyway), yeah, I suppose I would not exclude anyone for it. Since the sub-forums have changed yet again, I'm gonna have to make some changes to my posts also. Check this thread back for the announcement of the winner, if any; as well as the contest for the month of June. 3nodding

By the way, I just came by quickly with my "Kenshin Belmont" account to announce that, after reviewing the forums and posts by each applicant, no members actually qualified so the prize will be held for the month of June. Ok, since there was no winner last month, I suppose the time for this month's contest is at hand. For June, since the "Biancamella" was not given away I thought to make it the prize for this month as well. Would you like to win it? If so, keep reading as you may be the lucky one to win not only that but, a few other random stuff.
Be sure to follow these simple rules, please.
* Make some time to check out and participate in the RPG sub-forum. If you don't have much time online, make sure to join an RP that doesn't take too much of an investment to join and post. This rule is not mandatory however.
* This is a fantasy guild, like DM_Melkhar says and all sub-forums should be used. So be sure to post at least 3 times in each of them during the course of the month. The following sub-forums however, are not necessary for qualification: "Arena & RP Hall". If a lot of members qualify though, the tie breaker may be defined by whomever posted in those sub-forums.
* Members have to be active in order to qualify for the prize. And by this I mean that I'll be looking at the members list and if their post count doesn't increase by at least 15 new posts (it doesn't matter whether you can come every day or not, just as long as you accumulate 15 additional posts) before July 29th; or that member shall be disqualified. I'll also be looking at their recent posts to make sure they're not just "bumping" or alike to make their count rise the "easy" way. You guys have to make quality posts as well or that's grounds for immediate disqualification right there.
* And finally, if you do not want to be disqualified, you should not change your user name. If you DO change it though, you should at least let me know via PM before July 25th so we can work something out. Otherwise, I'm just gonna disqualify you. K?
So, if the members (Sorry that I am not including crew members again) who are on this list keep their post count as it is, they will not qualify for the prize and their names will NOT be included on the list of participants.
Current members who have applied and their post count, is as follows:

Any new members who want to participate must first post here why they chose their user name and follow the three major rules listed above. I know this time around it is not so simple as before but it can't be helped. These days, you don't have to have a "fantasy user name" to be entered in the contest. The most important thing is that you are as active as you can be.
Phataki-Prema will not be participating this month as she won first prize on April (see first page for more details). If she wants to be included in this contest however, she should donate at least 500 gold to the guild.
So remember, any members that have low post counts and don't post in almost all sub-forums will not be on the official list I will post sometime after August 6th so, start posting! And make sure to follow the rules I posted above, ok? Thank you!

I'll enter, i need to learn to post more often anyway.
my username is B-rad the Vampiric Shadow. I chose it because i just pop up behind my friend Emily and she doesn't even realize it. So she started calling me her shadow. Then she kept saying i was a vampire because my hand were always cold and i like the night. and B-rad is just because it is my name.

EDIT: The contest will be closed until further notice. As you may have noticed at the first page, I decided not to award anyone with the prizes cuz nobody even cared to post at "The Catacombs" sub-forum before my patience wore thin. If you want the contest/lotto to start again, I suggest you post here some info about yer user name (if it's not already on the thread) and, more importantly, a plead for it included in your post saying why you would like it back. I may start it again if the guild starts to be more active. As soon as any decision is made, I will post on the announcements thread at the main forum, thank you!

well i have had many usernames but this is my current one i have Suma-Kaur. Suma was the name that i was given at the time of my birth as i was an adopted child even though my real name is not Suma i try to keep it a part of myself as Suma is actually going to be one of my main characters in my stories. Kaur was added because its a popular Sikh last name as i was born by Sikh parents.

I decided to use hawkmoon93 because Cahira Hawkmoon is the name of my half-elven/ half human Lord of the Rings original character, who I've been working on developing a storyline for and various costumes and weaponry for the past 3 years. She reflects my outlook on life, as well as my take on the realm of Middle Earth and what it would be like to live there.

Wowie! Well ain't that something!? That's one of the cooler and shorter descriptions I've ever read. Maybe it's cuz I like hawks, I don't know but you did a heck of a job with the creating of that character. And to think it's for LotR! It's too bad I don't know much about it though, barely what I've seen in the movies. What kind of geek am I? he-he
Seriously now, thanks for posting and I gotta ask, does the "93" part of it have some significance like, the year you created the character, perhaps?

A boarspear is the toughest kind of spear around, making use of old Anglo-Saxon words there...
It was to be the name for a D&D character, but that didin't happen & I was signing up to Gaia at the same time, so... here we are.

That's a great origin for a user name too mister! It's funny that before this, I never even heard of a boarspear. Isn't that sort of odd? I mean, you'd think that in games such as Castlevania or Final Fantasy you'd get to hear of a Boarspear but, nope!
Kudos on that name cuz it's quite cool to know where it comes from. 3nodding
