He let out a long breath and fell onto his back, amber eyes closing momentarily. "Thank the gaurdians. I thought for sure when your son called me out on the boyfriend thing that it was a bad omen and I was facing a tiger without a sword." He sat back up, smiling fully. "Thanks."

Sappho smiled over him, offering a hand to pull him to his feet. "I try hard to be understanding. I'd rather hear someone out before deciding whether or not I'm angry. I'm glad that you came clean. And don't worry; you're welcome over here anytime." No more need to worry. That was the best news that she had heard all day.

sweatdrop "It really was a simple lie, honest. I would never have kept up with it. If word ever got back to Sunny I'd have more then her father to worry about..." Tristen reached up to her hand and stood, for once not hitting on her. What good would it do anyway?

Chuckling, she petted his head. Even if he was an adult, she couldn't help seeing all pae'il as children in some way or another. "It's perfectly alright. I can see that you were just trying to help." She checked the clock. "Augh. I feel as though I always have some much that I need to do and never enough time." Sappho gave him a genial and apologetic smile. "I hope that you don't mind leaving."

"Me? of course not. I know how my mom gets when she has a million and two things to do." Tristen was already walking towards the door. "But I'm glad we had this chat...concidering that book you were reading is a bit outdated." The male grinned. "Pae'il don't come from eggs any more for one."
