MegaTherion777 Gravechylde MegaTherion777 hmmm... is there a motorhead thread anywhere? i seem to remember there being one, but it's not in the thrash/speed section (which is where i'd expect it) and it's not in the regular ol' heavy metal section (which is where i'd look for it if it did exist but wasn't in the thrash/speed section). but i seem to remember a motorhead thread, so although i could be mistaken i want to make sure before i go make one... Make it in the Speed section. k thx No problem

My Hollow Digital Malevolence Gravechylde Digital Malevolence I dont normally have this much trouble defining a band into a subgenre but.... So, I am currently listening to a band that I just discovered, SuidAkrA, and well I cant figure out what subgenre they belong too. M-A says they are Melodic Black / Death Metal with folk/medieval influences......and that exactly what they sound like but I they dont sound folk enough to be put in the Folk Metal catagory nor do they seem to fit in the Black or Death... what do you think? http://www.myspace.com/suidakra Death really? thats kind of what I was thinking but there was so much other influences it was hard to tell.. neutral Oh really? Gravechylde Krusnik Yoshiki Ozzy. Didn't see him in Power/Heavy Metal, which is where I think he would go. I guess it would, but think only his first few albums are metal. Yeah, I dunno, I could make it in Other Music. Or someone could make it cuz I'm really indecisive about this and wherever it ends up would be okay with me.

I don't know myself, since I heard the first bit of one of their songs and shut it off. But from what others have said, they started out as Deathcore and went into Death metal, but I'm not sure.

Both are Deathcore, which goes in the "other metal genres" sub-forum.

I did some research and I found that the better plave to put them would be the death forum or the doom forum. Since back in the day they were Death/Doom.
And now they are in a new direction, so yes I see your prediciment.
Tough decision though.

And I'm confused as to how it was called doom in the first place, but that's a separate discussion.
