I found this very scary...But I can't actually hide behind my sofa because that's where we put all the stuff so it's out of the way. Oh yeah, and it's very close to the wall. It did start to get ever so slightly confusing, and why did the TARDIS leave them behind?

Actually, this story reminded me of another story I've heard. Where it was, I have no idea...
I think the angel statues sent the Doctor and Martha back in time to 1969, while the TARDIS stayed in the present-day.

No, I meant, why did the TARDIS leave Sally Sparrow and her boyfriend behind?

Probably because the Doctor programmed it to do that.

Trīs dienas paradīzē vai simts gadus šeit?
Jautāja man melnais vīrs.

Anybody see the June 27 & July 4, 2008 issue of Entertainment Weekly? They basically listed and discussed "The New Classics: The 1000 Best Movies, TV Shows, Albums, Books & More of the Last 25 Years."

Page 103, Neil Gaiman did his list of his top ten "New Classic Monsters":

3. The Weeping Angels in Steven Moffat's terrifying 2007 Doctor Who episode "Blink." (Scanned page.)

Thought I'd let you guys know that. Neil Gaiman is like, a huge (career-wise) author with a bunch of famous books (he wrote Stardust, which was turned into a movie; wrote the Sandman comics for years; etc.), and he watches the Doctor. He placed the Weeping Angels above Hannibal Lecter and Pennywise the Clown.

Co-wrote Stardust with who? My copy just says Neil Gaiman... or do you mean the graphic novel?

And that is awesome, btw.

Maybe it was just him. I don't know; I haven't read the book.

i'm bumping this thread back up because this was one of my more favorite episodes.
it scared me >.<;

i've seen SAW and all the other gory movies, but something like what was in this episode really gave me the creeps!
it also reminded me of this copy pasta i read:
Quote:

When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them. At all times, two persons must maintain direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.

The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation.
