Macy was still thinking about whatever random thing that popped into his head, when he heard Raguel's voice float into his thoughts. He looked up, blinking in a rather dazed way as he registered exactly what Raguel had said. Glad to be back at sea?? away from fancy-false smiles and berserk fathers?? Yes.
"yeah, I am" he answered finally, standing up straight, his gaze once again returning to the sea. He had put so many things off, thinking that he'd have forever to do it. He felt a pout try to creep onto his face and surpressed it, looking once again at Raguel. "I just tend to think more when I'm around you guys, dunno why though" he said, rather randomly and he frowned, he was in a random, good mood. What the heck?? Had someone slipped something into his dinner?? "what about you, glad to be away from your mum??" he asked curiously, Raguel always seemed a tad uncomfortable around Calistina, or Macy was reading them wrong, because it was an easy thing to do.

After spending nearly a week on the high seas, Jareth was finally beginning to get used to things. His cripling motion sickness had cleared up after the secnd day and he could now walk around on deck without holding the nearest railing/mast/helm in a death grip. As much fun as he was having, he could help feeling that something was missing, and the Goblin King's thoughts would always return to the beautiful Asrai he had met at the ball. He wondered whether Echo was still staying at the castle, or maybe El Rey had dragged him off somewhere else. He sorely hoped that the first theory was correct as he hadn't felt this much affection for another creature in...well, he wasn't entirely sure on dates but it was more than a human lifetime that was for sure. On the other hand he was overjoyed to have finally been able to join Caspian on a voyage. It was like the last three centuries had faded into the background and he and his friend were young again, ready to face anything. It was almost like she was here again.
Jonik had taken to spending more and more time in the Navigator's cabin, that he had begun using as a spare office and jigsaw room. The puzzles weren't the only reason he had been going there. The spirit who had suddenly appeared seemed to favor the tiny room and after a period of initial fear, the Quarter master/temporary navigator had taken a bit of a liking to her. Right now he had dug out an old chess set and since the ghost lady was in a talkative mood today the two of them had begun playing. She often had trouble staying manifest for long periods of time and for most of that time she looked rather sad, but she was in a good mood today, and possibly the strongest opponent he had ever played against. "Knight to queen four, and unless I'm very much mistaken, that would be check." said the woman as Jonik grudgingly moved her piece for her. "You're too good at this." he said with a nervous smile. "And you, young man, are something of a savant." she replied, her voice like ripples on water. "You remind me of my son. He was always bright." "You have a son?" said Jonik "Is he here?" "Oh no, he lives in Avery in the Unseelie Kingdom with my daughter." "Do you visit them too?" "Every day."

The elf smiled at the dazed man. "Well its easy to see why you would think more when we are out at sea. Its not like you have many other distractions. Plus you don't have to be fake around us, we are all who we are in a sense. We don't have to make ourselves out to be who we aren't."
His next question had the Bo'Sun thinking quietly. Was he glad to be away from his mother? In a way he supposed. "I can stand her in small amounts. I love her dearly and would give my life to protect her, but our personalities have changed too much over the years. I don't like to think I disappointed her by becoming a pirate but I really can't see myself being in court. I mean its fun to play with all the pretty faces and see how willing they are to steal away in the night for some fun, but frankly, nothing beats a good ship attack." He grinned to himself a bit at that. He did enjoy attacking other ships. The fast action, the adrinaline, all the sounds and smells of fighting; it just appealed to him.

With a small frown Caspian eyed the sun.. then realising this wasnt such a good idea he spent the next few minutes blinking as much as he could to try and clear the bright spots from his eyes. It took a while, that was for sure. Finally however he could see enough to survey the piece of paper he was holding in his hand, they were almost definately on the wrong bearing. Shaking his head he turned on his tail and headed towards the navigators cabin, he knew who he'd be able to find in there, Jonik and his Jigsaws, and it was Jonik that he was hoping to bounce his new discovery off of. With a bounce in his step he made his way towards the Navigators small cabin, and with a grin he pushed the door wide open, the grin fell away a few seconds later... "Ce..." he stared a little more... "Celeste.. Holy hell.. it is you..."

The spirit of Celeste looked up, her expression unreadable. It had been fifty years since she had seen the man before her. That was almost as long as the quarter master lad's lifetime. "Caspian." she whispered softly, before fading slightly. No! Not now, please not now. She couldn't leave jsut like that. But she was already barely and anomalous light pattern.

Caspian almost yelled as the ghostly figure of his wife started to vanish again, but the words died in his throat.. "Celeste.." was about all he managed, and it was far weaker than he'd hoped... "How long!" He demanded, turning on the young quater master, "how long has she been here! And why didnt you think to tell me!" It was a side of the captain very rarely seen, cross, his brow knitted in a dark frown. But... at the end of the day.. he was snapping at someone who definately didnt deserve it... "Jonik..." he stated, his voice normal again now... "I'm.. I'm sorry..." He lifted his hand up and passed it over his eyes. "I shouldnt have snapped..."

Jonik stared up at the captain from behind his borrowed desk. At little bewildered to be honest with you. Did he just get shouted at? He really wasn't that good at reading other people. He should probably get that looked at. "She appeared about a week ago before we set sail and started insisting on playing board games." he said "Was that wrong? I mean I know your average sailor isn't too fond of visits from the beyond, but you seemed to know her, so maybe it's not too bad. Anyway I'm babbling now. I'm really sorry."

Caspian smiled at Jonik and nodded, "That sounds like her, and no.. you did well.." he moved around the desk and rested a hand on the young elf's shoulder. "She always did like board games, and well.. thank you very much for keeping her entertained.." he gave Jonik's shoulder a light squeeze. "I know why she likes you Jonik.. You're a lot like our son.." He'd never told anoy one about Fabien before.. Fabien.. Angelle... he hoped that he'd see them again soon.

Ah, a lovely say at sea. And here he was. Mopping. As usual. There was no other way to keep the vessel clean than to mop in an almost perpetual manner! Daron relaxed into the movement of his mop, really feeling normal at the moment. He was no master of the mop, and no OCD obsessor. For now he was just a responsible deckhand doing his job. Mopping. Yet mopping was an enjoyable thing to Daron - familiar and almost comforting in a way.
The deckhand smiled as he worked at his job and hummed lightly as he mopped up the decks - they would be spotless if he had anything to say on the matter! Really, acting and feeling normal had to be one of the most enjoyable things he'd ever felt or done in his life. Being zany could just be a little to interesting at times - though he was like that half the time. Now Daron was merely there. Acting seriously and responsibly. Happy and enjoying the menial tasks of the day.

((-grumbles at unlucky timing, to be away during most of this!-)) Ayudar stood at the helm, looking out, watching the boat moving through the waves. Captain was below decks, twas his duty to keep an eye up here. He was silent, his hair blowing in the wind, his crow fluttering it's wings as he stood there. He noted Daron cleaning, and smiled a little. The boy was odd, with his intent need to clean but he did a good job. A good lad to keep aboard.

Daron glanced up at the smiling Ayudar and grinned back for a moment, managing a small wave before continuing to mop about. The wind that ran over the vessel from the sea blew his loose bleach-blonde hair in the wind, forcing him to almost constantly brush it back - interfering with mopping time, of course. The deckhand carefully leaned his beloved mop against the railing to quickly and efficiently tie his hair up in the bandana.
He wasn't about to have distractions on such a nice day! "Mhm~" He spoke to himself in a tone of assent as he continued with his task for the day. And when he put it as his task for the day he meant it. Mopping was going to take absolutely all day, but the deck would be perfect by the time he was through with it. Even if it did take all day it would be quite worth it.

Macy chuckled and nodded. He gave a little sigh and turned his gaze up to the Bo'Sun again. He seemed to understand him, he didn't feel the need to protect his over-decorated self when around the pirates, because he had loosened up.
"I think.....I like having parents.." Macy murmured absently, staring down at the locket that held his parents pictures inside it's golden case. He had no bloody idea why, but he liked having parents. "...at least, when your parent isn't trying to gut your fiance.." he muttered, grinning in amusement. "women are boring things, too complicated and whingy for my tastes, beside they seem to think m horns detach easily"

Raguel heard the Captain yelling too but so long as he wasn't yelling for the Bo'Sun he figured Caspian had things under control. And he had only yelled twice, meaning something had annoyed him. Nothing serious there. He smirked as Macy discussed women. "Ah women are just complicated. Each one has her own strengths and weaknesses, her own vices and repentants. Thats why I had fun in court. Mother taught me how to bring even the darkest of secrets out of someone with a touch and a smile." He distinctly remembered those lessons. His mother had taken him out into the hedge maze where a number of girls were having a small party. He was to find each girl and see if he could get them to tell him anything. He had to get somethign from every girl before he left the maze.
"Makes me wonder how you are ever going to deal with that little female Caspian you birthed. I hope you are good at discipline otherwise I fear it will be my job to keep her in line on the ship." That was a real concern. He knew how spoiled the girl would be as both parents adored her, but that would just make her unruly and the Bo'Sun would not have that on his ship. She could go on a rampage in every port they landed at just so long as she didn't bring it back on the ship.

"whatever, like I want to hear about your perverted tendencies, Mr Bo'Sun~" Macy muttered, looking uninterested in Raguel's first comment, he was a little distracted by his daughter, he'd never really left her alone for this long, it was worrying him. Standing he stretched his arms out, deciding he'd better go check on his daughter now, she was probably hungry.
"trust me, she won't be an airhead who lifts her skirt for anyone, i'll gut any man who tries to touch her, she'll be raised a proper young woman" Macy murmured, hands on his hips, his gaze on the Bo'Sun. "excuse me, Raguel, but you won't be yelling at my daughter" Macy grumbled at the second half of Raguel's words, looking annoyed. "don't worry, she won't get anything bad on my part, talk to her father about that, he's the lawbreaker" he said, giving a departing wave. "I'm going to go check on Estelle, i'll see you when I see you" he said, heading back to the cabin, where he could already hear his daughter wondering where her mother and father were.

Raguel smirked at both sets of Macy's statements. Sure, with Caspian as her father she may not OPENLY lift her skirt. And he had a feeling he was still going to be hauling the girl up to her father for discipline. He glanced up at the first mate and nodded. The man was his superior and very smart. Raguel respected him for those reasons. That and he had been able to train that confounded bird on his shoulder. The Bo'Sun had no luck with animals, only humaniods.
